Morning all!

I would normally drop a link to the spreadsheet here, but for some reason I've had to request access to it Confused

So until someone else - or @AthelstaneTheUnready - can sort this, I'm afraid I'll just have to start the thread without the link.

Seafour that sounds really tough Flowers

3stonedown · 21/06/2018 13:11

Seafour sorry you're having a shit time Flowers

Well done for sticking to the plan though

Gammeldragz · 21/06/2018 14:47

3stoneDown amazing progress, how on earth are you still overweight with a tummy like that?! Can you link to the abs yoga as I have prime and need something like that. I've done sit ups and other bits the last two nights and want to keep up some abs stuff. You definitely do a lot more than I do and it shows. Well done!
seafour sorry, that sounds tough. Well done for koko.

Had leftover low carb bolognese and aubergine bake for lunch (cold, it was fine). Dinner will be steak and something, not sure what as running our of veg which arrives tomorrow. Going to see if my Courgettes are big enough to pick yet (the only veg I'm growing this year so far).

3stonedown · 21/06/2018 15:00

@Gammeldragz Yoga link

All 3 workouts on that are pretty good actually. I used to do the morning one every morning but fallen out of the routine recently.

Lonesurvivor · 21/06/2018 17:12

3stonedown you look fabulous, as for that tummy😍 you should be very proud.

seafour sorry you're having on going issues with your son. Been a parent is hard, no wonder you're worn out if you're still cleaning up messes after an adult child in their 30s.Flowers

Ragwort · 21/06/2018 17:14

One stone 5lbs gone, I am so happy and thanks to everyone who posts on these threads, so encouraging. I'm not on the spreadsheet too complicated for me but really enjoy following all the advice.

I'm not that keen on exercise but have found some great workouts on YouTube that are only 7 minutes long - easy to follow - I've had a day off work today and have been doing quite a few spread out over the day Grin.

💐 @Seafour

Beautiful wedding photos @SayrraT. Gorgeous colour dress and you look so pretty.

@3stonedown 😘😘 just wow! I have no words 🤷‍♀️

Justmuddlingalong · 21/06/2018 18:57

After seeing tonight's weather forecast for next week, I was wondering if any boot campers had recipes or ideas for home made ice lollies /cream. I want to prepare ahead so that I can't hear Magnums or Cornettos calling my name. TIA. 🍦

prettybird · 21/06/2018 19:04

FF Greek yoghurt blended with strawberries/raspberries and then put into ice lolly molds?

Rayna37 · 21/06/2018 19:08

All this workout chat is just what I need today. I'm convinced I've got some abs definition for possibly the first time ever (and DH knows well enough to agree with me) after my current 2x exercise with baby and 1x Buggy bootcamp weekly regime, complementing my running. That'll be dropping off soon so I could do with some you tube core workouts, if I get into it now it might stick when I'm back at work but let's not think about that yet

No amazing before/after shots for me I've always been a reasonable moderator, but I did look at picture from Christmas Day and there's a clear difference to now with my 18lbs off since then, from the top of a healthy BMI to the middle. My goal is 3 more lbs which would make the total loss the same as DS currently weighs, and he's a hell of a lump!

Today:
B: 2eggs scrambled with butter and asparagus
L: salad of lots of spinach and rocket, tomato and cucumber with 1/2 avocado and 2 eggs mixed with mayo, cheese and chives.1 square 90% chocolate.
D: pork chop, buttery kale and cauli cheese.
Plenty of water and two hot drinks with milk.
No snacks not even that addictive sliced emmental I bought! Don't think that made it into yesterday's food report but it was definitely a feature Grin

Gammeldragz · 21/06/2018 19:16

Prettybird I was going to suggest exactly the same thing for ice lollies as I plan to make some soon.

Food today
1pm - Leftover bolognese and aubergine bake.
5:30pm - chimichurri steak and Courgetti with Parmesan
6pm - 3 squares of 95% chocolate (for some reason 2 didn't cut it today. Blame period.)

Happy Solstice.

Justmuddlingalong · 21/06/2018 19:50

Re the ice lollies. Think I'll try greek yoghurt and frozen fruit ones, greek yoghurt and peanut butter ones and good old 1970s style frozen fruit squash ones.

Itchyknees · 21/06/2018 20:26

Nom nom lollies! Greek yoghurt with a bit of sweetener is ok, I do them as drops on a baking sheet as they can go very hard so the thinner the better I reckon.

Ok so I bought some fiberflour off tinternet (14g carbs per 100g) and have made a cheesy loaf. It’s the same as the banana loaf on their website, but with cheese instead of banana. I added a squirt of garlic purée and a blob of Greek yoghurt because it looked a bit dry. It’s in the oven now, the mixture was a lot like solid emulsion, and I’m going to bake it slowly.

It’ll either be awesome, or terrible, assuming I can actually lift it.

Rshard · 21/06/2018 20:27

Thanks for the ice lolly ideas, had been wondering the same

Justmuddlingalong · 21/06/2018 20:33

Thinking maybe frozen fruit teas would be OK too. I've got lemon pie and also strawberry cupcake teabags lurking in the back of the cupboard.

Gammeldragz · 21/06/2018 20:52

Lolly moulds were in Lidl the other day for £1.29 if anyone needs some.
Thanks for Yoga link 3stone I will try when abs aren't as sore as they are today!

ScienceNut · 21/06/2018 21:01

I have just spent the evening at a friends bbq (was good don’t worry) wearing a dress I bought when I was 16! I have never worn it as it has never fitted but always kept it as I liked it! (I am 34 next month!)

Am now officially 5 stone lighter than at my heaviest!

Itchyknees · 21/06/2018 21:19

Five stone is AWESOME!!! Bloody well done you!

Gammeldragz · 21/06/2018 21:27

sciencenut wow that's fantastic, well done! That's 70lbs. Was it all with low carb? How long did it take?

bingefest · 21/06/2018 21:34

Sciencenut- an 18 year old dress -that’s brilliant ! And 5 stone off is mind-boggling
Gammeldragz- thanks for the scout camp tips, I haven’t allowed myself nuts previously but I really think/ hope I might have changed and could exercise some self- control.( I’ll try and post daily on here that’ll help.)
Today -
B -overslept horrendously late for work but hoovered FFgreek yoghurt and cream in a microsecond
L- Because of sleep in , forgot packed lunch , couldn’t get out, mounting hunger and panic ..then asked someone to get me omelette from work canteen -( work canteen is a temple of carby-twatdom ) gobbled omelette also in micro-second , Panic subsided
D Rushed to DDs school play straight after work - got peckish but kept calm knowing that there was a cold shoulder of slow cooked coconut pork from day before. Dashed home, took pork out of the fridge, opened some mail , a sodding speeding fine !!!! Sulked about speeding fine - whizzed off to collect daughter after play. Got back and the frigging dog had eaten the whole shoulder of pork. The old Bingefest would have just gone for a face down carb fest at this point but new Bingefest ( I must change my name soon as I am no longer bingey )microwaved some sprouting broccoli, nuked some kale with oil, and sprinkled some corned beef over the veggies, Followed it with a little chia pudding That I found in the fridge that I’d forgotten about, The chia pudding was so filling - I am stuffed - sorry for long-winded food diary but I just wanted to illustrate how this WOE really seems to knock the emotional eating on the head.
Well done Seafour for keeping on plan with the stress of the return of the prodigal son.
PS - I think I have overdone the chia pudding. I put 2 TBS of seeds with half a can of coconut milk -Do other people use 1 TBS ?

Itchyknees · 21/06/2018 21:36

Ta dah!

Week 6 - Low Carb Bootcamp - the second half starts here!
Justmuddlingalong · 21/06/2018 21:45

Ooh! I'd call that a success, @Itchyknees. What does it taste like?

Itchyknees · 21/06/2018 22:04

It’s actually ok! I put big lumps of strong cheese in it so it’s very moist and quite crumbly texture, like a cheesy kind of suet pudding thing. If it was sweet it would need custard.

I have had a slice with thick butter and it’s the nearest thing I’ve had to bread in 6 weeks so it’s delivering joy like opiates.

bingefest · 21/06/2018 22:13

“ cheesy kind of suet pudding thing “ !!! That is my idea of heaven - must try it - I’ve seriously OD’d on chia seeds tonight I can feel my belly expanding - must remember portion control next time .

ShagMeRiggins · 21/06/2018 23:29

ScienceNut your dress from when 16 and never worn? Brilliant!
