Morning all!

I would normally drop a link to the spreadsheet here, but for some reason I've had to request access to it Confused

So until someone else - or @AthelstaneTheUnready - can sort this, I'm afraid I'll just have to start the thread without the link.

lonesurvivor aww, thanks. Second one is indoors in the bathroom so a bit washed out, first one I'd been outside on a boat all day. I need to get DH to take one of me in my uniform as I had to buy two sizes smaller this year so I want to compare.
Can't wait for my 60lbs off photo (which it will be when I reach target).

Telling more people (including another GP) at work about my lchf diet today, as they were trying to push the leftover party carbs at me. So annoying when people say 'but surely you don't need to diet' and I'm like, well I've lost nearly 50lbs so clearly I did and it works so why would I stop? Also, this isn't a 'diet' it's how I eat. Then they started saying how diets don't work. Well, duh that's because you stop...

Gammeldragz · 20/06/2018 21:07

Farine same here, I bought some Halo 85% cocoa chocolate in Asda earlier. Two squares is plenty (2.8g carbs) and it's lovely.

Leelaseye · 20/06/2018 21:18

prettybird were the buttered microwave sprouts of loveliness your recipe? I will be living on them from this day forward Smile

MrsCoyote · 20/06/2018 21:25

Amazing changes in these pictures, all of them!

Not much to report, first day of period, felt angry and hungry, had a lot of cheese and vegies and had a go at my husband. Feel better now:)

What would you recommend to pack as food for 9 hours car journey, for two adults and two tweens? Ideally same/similar food for all, no way I would bake a cake when I dont eat it. No fridge, just thermobag to use. Thank you.

prettybird · 20/06/2018 21:47

Leelaseyes - yes, they were - only it's not so much a recipe as a way of cooking them Smile

You're lucky to find brussels at the moment; I've had to transfer my obsession to asparagus Grin

I've also replanted my overgrown asparagus bed, so that next year (and more so, the subsequent years), I'll have my own supply. Smile

I also have a brassica bed (4 x each of romanesco cauliflower, kale, Savoy cabbage and brussels), a legumes bed (runner beans, peas/mange tout, French beans, broad beans, a garlic/onion/spring onion/carrot and salad leaves bed - and 2 non-Boot Camp beds (potatoes, albeit with broad beans around the outside, and a cutting flower bed).

Wow what an awesome garden prettybird my eldest planted some veggie seeds at brownies about 6 weeks ago. They’re all growing really well but I don’t know what any of them are! 🤷‍♀️

Rayna37 · 20/06/2018 21:57

B: porridge (mainly ground almonds and ground flax, with chia, Psyllium husk, 3 seed mix, peanut butter, coconut oil and milk).
L: pork chop, kale, cauliflower cheese. Didn't fancy salad and thought just because this feels like a dinner not lunch I don't think it was really much more substantial than appropriate?!
D: salmon, asparagus, broccoli and leeks with butter. Strawberries and cream.

Bit light on water.

Leelaseye · 20/06/2018 22:08

Love your raised beds prettybird - what a beautiful garden. I have an allotment plot but have never had much luck growing leguminous veg.

I got the sprouts from Tesco last week - suspect I wouldn't be so lucky now. Practically drowned them in beurre d'isigny!

Justmuddlingalong · 20/06/2018 22:08

TMI, but despite FLGV, gallons of water and psyllium husk daily, I seem to have acquired a haemerroid. Any advice from fellow sufferers would be gratefully received. Blush

prettybird · 20/06/2018 22:30

There is a reason for the raised beds Leelaseye Grin Although it's a South facing back garden, it's a North facing slope - so the beds are to maximise the light they get Smile

We've also just acquired a 2nd hand green house (belonged to FIL) which dh has put up beside the patio (just out of the picture) and I have 2 yellow courgette plants and one green courgette plant growing (nowhere near flowering yet though).

MysteryNameChange · 20/06/2018 22:41

I don't weigh myself often but I have lost 10lbs since the beginning of bootcamp Smile

I always get them after having babies (c sections!?!) For instant relief I recommend germoloid cream as it has the stuff to shrink them plus a local anaesthetic in them, can be purchased from Home and Bargain. Can be useful if the idea of pooing is terrifying. There is a nozzly supplied if they are internal piles.

For poo softening I recommend more water, green veg and more fat - lots of oily salads. Sadly I don't think meat and cheese are helpful.

MelanieCheeks · 20/06/2018 22:43

Ran a 10k tonight. I was aiming fir around 1-10 and came in at 1-11, but felt I had something left in the tank at the end. I was giving my body a talking to on the way round, going " come on bod, find those fat reserves, there's plenty of them!"

I felt my stamina was better than when I've run using carbs for fuel.

Justmuddlingalong · 20/06/2018 22:51

Thanks, @MysteryNameChange. Will nip in tomorrow and get some. Using sudocrem in the meantime. 😲

AveAtqueVale · 20/06/2018 23:50

I’m sneaking back in. I was doing brilliantly then I got glandular fever and once I could eat ate nothing but ice-cream for a week. Then spent another week lying on the sofa eating biscuits Blush. Now feeling more like a human, restarted LCHF last Thursday/ Friday and am almost back to where I was at the end of week 2. Will catch up with this thread and the last couple over the next few days, but wanted to say hi and put it back on threads I’m on!

AthelstaneTheUnready · 21/06/2018 05:49

So impressed with the veg beds, pretty! I have never yet raised a crop of any sort of brassica that wasn't chewed to the bone by caterpillars - what do you use as protection?

AthelstaneTheUnready · 21/06/2018 05:51

Welcome back, Ave! That sounds horrendous, you poor thing - take it easy .

AthelstaneTheUnready · 21/06/2018 05:53

Hooray for Mystery's 10lbs!

And Mel's running time & stamina. I talk to my fat too Blush.

ItsalmostSummer · 21/06/2018 06:07

So,?just looking through everyone’s pics. Wow! Thanks to everyone for being brave and sharing their pictures. It really helps motivate me. I have had another birthday in the family and not been having said birthday food, but I do notice I eat something else at a time when I wouldn't normally - so I’m eating because others are eating. Not good, but it’s good that I’m eating BC food, but it breaks the rules as it’s snacking. Oh well. I have upped my water intake and that I have realized is half of the plan for this WOE - water means you are far less likely to eat 😬. So I’m learning, and I’ll get there. I just thought I’d share that :) Have a great day all!

Twoo · 21/06/2018 06:09

Welcome back Ave’

Great before and after photos. Very motivating, thank you for sharing.

Itchyknees · 21/06/2018 07:12

Thankyou for the recipe @Iamnotacerealkiller. Will give it a whirl!

Rayna37 · 21/06/2018 07:18

MelanieCheeks great work on your 10k, glad your new fuel seems to be working!

I've got a veg area in our garden, came with the house and I've had various success and certainly various enthusiasm over the years we've been here. This is my 5th summer with it, didn't so much as pick the abundant raspberries while pregnant last year but trying to do a few things well this year: some kale/cavolo nero is in the plan and a few courgette varieties.

Gammeldragz · 21/06/2018 07:19

melanie that's fab for the 10k, well done. I cannot imagine running that far (did a 5k once, lol) but finishing without feeling dead is pretty impressive.
Ave welcome back.

I saw a new low again on the scales today. I'm wondering if the Zero electrolyte tablets are helping? I started drinking one every morning since Sunday, have been peeing plenty too. I have been sticking to plan really well too, but I do wonder if they are having an effect?

Itchyknees · 21/06/2018 07:20

Huge apologies if this has been said before, but did the spreadsheet get fixed? I can’t find a link to it and aside from the weight list, there were loads of recipes too, weren’t there?

AthelstaneTheUnready · 21/06/2018 07:26

Spreadsheet HERE Itchy.

Itchyknees · 21/06/2018 07:26

Thank you!Flowers
