Low Carb Bootcamp - our final weigh-in!

Good morning!

Well, we've finally reached the end. Here's the spreadsheet, for the last time

It feels to me like it's been a really good Bootcamp, with lots of NSVs as well as success on the scales. Hopefully today sees another good reading on the scales too!

As I've said on previous threads, just because we've reached the end of this Bootcamp, it doesn't mean that we all just melt away - I'll keep this chat thread going and when it fills up, I'll start another general chat one, so there's always someone here for help and support as well as ongoing low carb stuff.

I'll probably put the big stick back in its cupboard for a while though Grin

whyare I thought of some more things for you. Frozen cauli rice (eg Aldi) to go with ready meal curries (just always read the packaging and check low carb) plus in the prepared veg section (availability varies shop to shop) there's normally some ready spiralized veg noodles/pasta eg courgetti, or ready done celeriac rice etc to go with ready meal stew type meals.

ilovecherries · 13/04/2018 15:15

Oh, Destiny - sunshine! Sob Envy. Have a wonderful time.

ilovecherries · 13/04/2018 15:18

Snails with masses of garlic and cumin are nice...had a French boyfriend in my misspent student days (goes off into sexy Gallic daydream involving too much garlic, too much red wine, too many gauloise, too much....okI will stop. Goes to have cold shower).

BrassicaBabe · 13/04/2018 15:41

Another one jealous about the holiday destiny. Have a great time!

So the egg/cheese pancakes were quite bearable with sugar free syrup. Is this stuff LCHF acceptable? Is it egg fast acceptable?

Have a lovely holiday destiny

LeapinLizards · 13/04/2018 16:56

Happy hols, destiny. I'm envious of the sun & idea of no work after a stressful week. But don't envy being faced with those items on a menu

TerfsUp · 13/04/2018 17:03

Have fun, destiny!

StuntNun · 13/04/2018 18:06

Cherries I missed your message earlier in the week because I've been on holiday in the wilds of Northumbria with no mobile phone reception. In my opinion you should keep on exactly as you are and let the weight loss happen in its own time. If you feel like you have to do something then I would try a carb refeed to give yourself a leptin reset and break the homeostasis. Choose something healthy for your carb refeed, something like a baked potato or a curry with white rice.

ilovecherries · 13/04/2018 19:22

Rice, you say? Mmmm. It's the only thing I still miss sometimes.

Thanks Stunt, hope you had a good holiday. Have also been hunting for your website - I'm sure I saved it but can't find it. Could you post it - or PM if you prefer.

BrassicaBabe · 13/04/2018 20:02

Can we all do a carb refeed stunt?! Grin let's not talk about last weekends pizza

Destinysdaughter · 13/04/2018 20:10

Thanks for all the good wishes! Apparently it's going to be warm in the UK too!

I'm genuinely a bit nervous about eating carbs again, wonder how my tummy will cope with it and whether I'll put on half a stone...Confused

Bluntness100 · 13/04/2018 20:36

Destiny have a brilliant time and don't worry about food, just enjoy yourself and get back on it when you get back.

For anyone interested in weights, this is the sort of thing. I bought the weights and the bars separately, these are a set, and you can buy cheaper brands than this, but basically you just add/change the discs to increase the weight as you get stronger.

You can also use them basically like kettle bells.so for example a good one for your tummy is to swing the weight down in between your legs and then back up to shoulder level, you really feel it pulling on your tummy.

Cherries you can find out more about my low carb program with personal coaching at Ways of Eating.. The coached low carb program starts at £79 for 12 weeks but we've also just launched a £10 version of the program with no coaching..

Destinysdaughter · 14/04/2018 06:31

How do you become a low carb coach? I’d love to do that!

TheWayOfTheWorld · 14/04/2018 09:15

Have a lovely holiday Destiny

I used to do a lot of weights - need to find some space in the house to store a set as I don't have gym membership anymore...

A bit late to the party but great pictures Cherries!

I'm happy to report that my 4lb holiday increase seems to all be off and I am slightly under what I was when I went on holiday. Onwards and downwards....

Office is having a charity cake sale on Monday and I offered to bake - must stay strong and avoid all the cake!

BlackMozart · 14/04/2018 14:36

ave I am with you. Have been having a really tough time with lc after just not losing anything for months. All sorts of bad eating but I won’t say what as I don’t want to mention trigger food for others. Not sure what I am going to do ☹️

Whyare I have found one meal in the shop called ‘Cook’. They do all frozen meals (like an upmarket Iceland) and that the marketing patter says they are cooked like homemade. I had a Beef dish which had brandy in it. Can’t remember the exact name but it was about 3 carbs per 100g and was actually delicious. You would have to add veg as you just get the meat and sauce and it was not cheap!

Bluntness100 · 14/04/2018 16:34

Afternoon all.

Well don't on the 4lbs the way.

Good day here so far,,,,I'm making roast beef for dinner, but I may consume some red wine this evening,,,🤔

VenusStarr · 14/04/2018 21:23

Hi all, not had a chance to catch up with messages but wanted to pop in to say thank you for the support and motivation. I'm married! 💜

Here's a pic of me in my dress, that fit perfectly. I've cropped my head :) I'll catch up properly when I'm back from honeymoon

Congratulations Venus, the dress looks lovely on you. Hope you had a lovely day and enjoy the honeymoon.

AveAtqueVale · 15/04/2018 15:35

Congratulations Venus!

Mozart I’m sorry you’re in the same boat, though weirdly glad I’m not the only one (sorry Blush). Maybe you need to do a total reset? Give yourself a couple of days totally off with a mental promise (and a meal plan) to start again wholeheartedly on a certain date? I’ve sort of got a handle on things again the last few days but am struggling in other areas so I think it’s down to a total loss of appetite than due to increased willpower which isn’t great. Still - hopefully warmer weather on the way soon will cheer everything up a bit!
