I know we only have another day or so before the next thread, but the last one was almost full!

Thanks holge. I did take photos last Monday. Though I have just realised that they are starkers ones, which means I won't be able to show anyone the glory of before and after shots! Will just try to be brave tomorrow if the scales don't go my way.

blackteaplease · 15/10/2017 20:27

Just checking something about those wraps. I thought net carbs was an American thing and that we were supposed to check whole carbs. Is that right?

DrDiva · 15/10/2017 20:41

Oh - I didn't use their carb count. I figured pork rinds, eggs and cream cheese wasn't going to have much in the way of carbs at all!

The Camembert is smelling out the fridge. Will have to have it baked tomorrow with veggie dippers.

Frigglet · 15/10/2017 20:48

Hello. Checking in-

B - 2 buttery scrambled eggs
L - 1 chicken thigh with buttery spinach and cheese
D - 2 slices fatty pork on a bed of baby spinach & rocket salad with mayonnaise and handful of olives.

Will weigh myself for the first time tomorrow. Usually I am a daily and obsessive weigher, and am a bit worried about how I will react if the scales don't show a loss (previously this has always been a trigger for mad dieting behaviour sad )

I honestly could have written this, word for word. I’ve drank loads of water today and feeling bloated at the moment. So I’ll weigh tomorrow morning after a customary long wee and hope that the scales bring me a weight loss surprise! Smile

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 15/10/2017 20:49

Ilove do you mean juvenile- like? 😊
I don’t think sound very “old”

It’s all stereotypes anyway isn’t it and none of us fit them.

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 15/10/2017 20:50

Sorry missed out me words age??
I meant I don’t think you ....

blackteaplease · 15/10/2017 20:58

@DrDiva those ingredients sound OK, not that I'm an expert. I have to admit I didn't get as far as the actual recipe as there was heavy emphasis in the blurb about how 2 wraps was only 1 net carb.

Why do food bloggers have to waffle so much? I'm only interested in the recipe and comments.

HarlotsWeb · 15/10/2017 21:46

Sympathy, frigglet! Fingers crossed for a reasonable loss for both of us and, if not, the strength to deal with it rationally.

DrDiva · 15/10/2017 21:50

@blackteaplease quite! I spend half my life scrolling past umpteen paragraphs of blether to get to the recipe.

RubyGoat · 15/10/2017 22:20

blackteaplease - as a cynical person, I suspect it's because bloggers earn their money from advertising space. The more you see, the more they earn.

Gammeldragz · 15/10/2017 22:21

leeks apologies for panicking people. I use MFP and it's usually very good, I assumed leeks were high because they are like onions... I was disappointed though as I love cheesey leeks, so I'm delighted that my mistake was pointed out and I can feel happier about my dinner!
Not expecting much of a drop on the scales tomorrow though as I feel bloated after all those veg!

Veryflummoxed · 15/10/2017 22:33

Right I’ve caught up

nomore it wasn’t me at uni in 1975 I was 21 then and getting married, if you’d just finished perhaps we tie.** (And yes, hard work, an emotional roller coaster, and very rewarding)

No Ilove you don’t win.** I still think it’s me

oh Nomore 1951.* In that case you do win. Congratulations.* (I’m second thoughGrin)

blacktea our carbs are the equivalent to American net cars.* Their carbs are higher then they deduct the fibre to get net carbs. Our carbs already have the fibre deducted.* Hope that makes sense.

I’ll try to rewrite my olden day food experiences when I get a chance

Today’s food was
Lunch bolognaise sauce, sprinkle of cheese, sprouts, mange toute and the afore mentioned celariac roasted in coconut oil this time

I didn’t have time to stop for dinner but picked at some left over sausages and then, when I was frying some one eggs, broke two in succession so did them fresh ones and quickly scoffed the ruined ones my self. I am usually a very slow eater and this did not make me feel good.

Good luck for tomorrow everyone. One week down.

starsky22 · 15/10/2017 22:33

I'm feeling very bloated this evening too and despite eating lots for dinner, kept feeling peckish, although don't think I was actually hungry, just felt like some chocolate, but resisted and drank lots of water instead.
Good luck with the scales tomorrow everyone, but if the result is not want you hoped then don't be disheartened, just keep going and the scales will catch up in time.

B fasting
L chicken, spinach & cheese omletter
D roast lamb with cauli cheese, sprouts, couple of carrots and small bit of gravy

TimbuktuTimbuktu · 15/10/2017 22:43

Well i think I invented creole-Chinese fusion tonight. Cajun pork chops with Chinese stir fry was surprisingly good. Made a sauce from chilli, vinegar, ginger garlic and soy sauce and apart from it being a bit runny it was perfectly tasty!

I still really wasn't that hungry though. I had about half a cereal bowl full. I would have had rice, prawn crackers and about twice as much a couple of weeks ago. This diet is amazing!

Im actually excited for weigh in tomorrow. Despite a couple of blips I think it should be good.

In an attempt to do as well a possible I have also rediscovered slim-a-tea. For those who can't go it's a good way to get things moving again!

prettybird · 15/10/2017 22:51

Had a reasonable day: bacon and eggs for brunch and then my dad came over for supper and we had duck breasts (from Lidl) with the skin scored and rubbed with ras-al-hanout and salt, celeriac Dauphinoise (could have done with longer cooking), roasted asparagus and microwaved (in butter of course) runner beans from the garden.

Dh and dad had wine while I was virtuous and had water. Dh and dad also had a piece of tablet each (the last two pieces from my last batch made for the rugby club Minis Festival cake stall, which I'd managed to ignore for the last 3 weeks) with their coffee.

I did breach Boot Camp rules Blush and had half of one of my wee chocolate pots (Boot Camp Lite compatible: recipe in the Boot Camp recipes thread "Chocolate Pots with Orange and Cardamom").

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 15/10/2017 22:53

Yay I am the eldest! We are the signed up members of the grumpy old lady club. Very, yes, I’ve muddled people up - It must be me age!! More likely me reading the thread in the middle of the night without my glasses, when I can’t sleep.
I’m still doing a hybrid bc hard and bc lite and I’m doing IF about 5 days in every week and still loving this WOE
Good luck for tomorrow’s weigh in - as BIWI says, if you’ve followed the rules and kept to bc you’ll lose weight

SoMuchToBits · 15/10/2017 22:59

Very, I am finding that on this WOE I can't scoff anything quickly either. It's making me sit down and really savour my food, which I'm sure must be a good thing.

TimbuktuTimbuktu · 15/10/2017 23:27

Your dinner sounds delicious prettybird. I will have to go on a duck hunt at some point this week. My Tesco is too small to stock it.

ferntwist · 16/10/2017 00:15

wombattoo thank you so much!

Veryflummoxed · 16/10/2017 03:12

blackteaplease · 16/10/2017 05:37

@Veryflummoxed thanks for the details on the carbs. I knew they were different but couldn't remember how.

HarlotsWeb · 16/10/2017 06:10

A loss - thank God Smile - and a good one too - 9 lbs. Gives me heart to continue.
