Morning all

Flowers

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness once more

So the finish line is almost in sight. I see from the last thread that some of you have been struggling to stay on track - just three more weeks to go, so stay focused.

That 'it's only one piece of bread/one glass of beer' moment really isn't worth it. Been there, got the t-shirt.

If you're bored with the food - there are two things that could help you. Firstly, think back to the last time you were doing a low calorie/low fat diet - how awful was it to have to scavenge the shelves looking for something low calorie enough, and how often were you eating food that didn't actually taste that nice, but delivered only on the basis of being low calorie? Rice cakes that might as well be polystyrene ceiling tiles, for example!

And then go and read the recipe thread for some inspiration, and find something new to cook. There's nothing on there that's difficult to do.

I'd also say that I see a lot of you are trying to recreate things that are high carb - pizza or bread, for example. These things are very unlikely to be the same, or as nice, as the high carb versions. And all the time you're trying to recreate something you're missing, you're just reminding yourself that you're missing something!

So try not to do this, but focus on things that are beautifully low carb and that you can enjoy for their own taste and benefits.

Here's to a successful week for us all.

Aww thanks nameless Blush

I'm far from being a great sewer yet, but I'm actually really amazed and quite chuffed with what I've made so far, including a fitted dress with darts and invisible zips etc.

All down to doing the online workshops from Tilly and the Buttons, which are fab. I hadn't sewn for decades before that (since early high school days).

Re HOC, I'm a dark summer.

ASD that fabric is lovely.

C4 go on shown us your fabric porn! I've spent an inordinate amount in the last few weeks, it is so much fun scouring the net for fabric for the next planned sewing project.

At the risk of completely outing me (really hope not!) here is the material from the skirt I finished last night

Very that must have been terrifying, really hope your back feels better soon.

KOKO everyone. I don't post much but I regularly read the thread and find you all so inspiring.

SayrraT · 12/07/2017 16:43

jim I've had that happen to me before Confused more than once. The thought of eating just is so unappealing and if I got food near my mouth I'd gag.

It's happened more than once but not recently. I got over it by eating whatever I could face no matter what it was. For me it was definitely physiological so I forced myself to eat but it was hard. I don't know what caused it.

JiminnyCricket · 12/07/2017 16:52

SayrraT It's just odd!! Confused

I've got an emergency jar of peanut butter in the work fridge and i ALWAYS fancy peanut butter.. nope. Can't face it. Planned steak for dinner with creamy cabbage, not sure that's going to get eaten either although after the gym i SHOULD be starving!

BIWI · 12/07/2017 16:58

Time to POAS?!

Jiminny that's exactly what I've been going through since Friday, no desire to eat at all, not hungry even after days with no food.
I assumed mine was a stress response or extreme anxiety thing.
I had breakfast today but haven't eaten anything else because of the bat shit crazy woman who is mimicking every symptom I have.

JiminnyCricket · 12/07/2017 17:19

@BIWI that's the second time you've freaked me out with a pregnancy scare Grin

Also can't be, came off AF end of last week.

@C4, you may have a point with the anxiety thing, could be a reaction to that I suppose but it seems really odd for it to kick in now when I'm feeling over the worst of it Confused

Odd, odd day.

StuntNun · 12/07/2017 17:25

Drat I lost my post and I'll have to start again.

Jim that's a side effect of DS1's medication, could it to be with your ADs?

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 12/07/2017 17:28

HemanOrSheRa white Cabbage like the other ladies suggested is great to shred and treat like spaghetti or noodles.

I follow BIWI sauté suggestion then add to chili, Stir-fry, Soups rarely have it as coleslaw, have it pickled as well. When the pickle red cabbage Jar is empty I just re-stuff with any cabbage so the vinegar covers it and carry on.

JiminnyCricket · 12/07/2017 17:30

Stunt aaah the plot thickens, I haven't got them with me to check the leaflet but I'll have a read when I get home, it's fluoxitine I'm on if anyone has experience?

I'm also taking propranolol whenever I feel the anxiety building but I haven't taken any today. Also haven't taken diazapam since Monday night so if it is the meds it must be the fluoxitine. Hope it doesn't last, I can't function on protein shakes for long especially not with my gym routine Confused

C4pinkwheels · 12/07/2017 17:38

Very glad you're ok, that must have been very frightening. Flowers

Waawaa I run a sewing group and there is a playgroup in the same building, I often have young mums come and say they can't sew. We just reel them in and get them sewing in no time.

Heman I used to be an antenatal teacher/doula and clary sage was always in my bag. Women who aren't pregnant or hormonal usually can't stand the smell. So glad it made you feel better.

Batshit woman doesn't have munchausens, they usually know exactly how to get doctors to admit and treat them, it takes a lot of effort and she's far too lazy for that.
I had to look up elevenerife but I would say it's some sick form of that. I wish DH would grow a pair and go round there and tell her she's ruining the kids lives.

I've spent hours in the pantry at my DS house with DGS. He phones us sometimes when DS leaves his phone unattended, a few days ago he had me convinced that his scooter was broken, kept saying grandad needed to come and fix it. Turns out the handle needed raising.

Jiminny not as odd as my day

ASDismynormality · 12/07/2017 17:47

jiminny. Every time I've started or switched Anti Ds I've totally lost my appetite for a few days, then it returns craving refined white carbs! I'm sure you appetite will return in a few days, stay strong.

C4pinkwheels · 12/07/2017 17:51

Prepare to see the porn cupboard - well one of them anyway, if you're good and not carby twats I will open one tomorrow and you can see inside. Each shelf has eight boxes.

Alfie's dog finished today

Flower wreath on my studio door

BIWI · 12/07/2017 17:51

Glad to hear you sounding more positive C4. I hope you're on the mend too Very. Be kind to yourself as you're bound to feel a bit wobbly after that experience.

Oliver, allergy testing can be useful for identifying unexpected or unusual allergens but it isn't always ideal since false positives and false negatives. My DS4 doesn't test as allergic to dairy or eggs but there's a clear non-IgE mediated reaction when he eats them. Sometimes when allergies are in the mix then you can only choose the least worst option. Soya may be a processed food but it's still a useful source of protein.

Bibs2014 · 12/07/2017 17:54

Elevenarife 😂😂😂

BIWI · 12/07/2017 17:54

Or this one - waiting for me to get out of the shower!

waa, I nearly didn't call them, because to be honest I thought I had a right cheek! But I was super nice and polite to her, said that I totally got that I was asking for a favour, and really only wanted to swap like for like with items they still had in stock. But she was like 'tell me exactly what you have, and let's see what we can do'. And because I got account credit, I can wait till they get their new season stock, rather than just smaller sizes of what I already had. Really pleased :)

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 12/07/2017 18:05

BIWI why do you have a camera in the shower?

Why do some pictures show and other not, today see BIWI's but not C4's.

ilovecherries · 12/07/2017 18:06

very, that's awful, you just have got a terrible fright. Glad everyone more or less ok though, and hope the car isn't too much hassle.

ilovecherries · 12/07/2017 18:06

must have got...

ilovecherries · 12/07/2017 18:13

Yep, it's the Prozac, Jim. Known side effect, it passes.

Kleptronic · 12/07/2017 18:21

I second (third? fourth?) it being the fluoxetine Jim.

Cherries you have all my Boden luck! I got a parcel delivered today and then the courier knocked straight away and took it back, mislabelled apparently! I need my boho dress for Buuuutlins!

Kleptronic · 12/07/2017 18:22

Very Flowers

C4pinkwheels · 12/07/2017 18:22

Biwi I'm glad we're not the only one with a pervy shower watching cat. I can't post a picture of ours because MN can't count I've posted 3 pictures today but I'm being told I've exceeded the limit of 6

C4pinkwheels · 12/07/2017 18:32

Does venlafaxine do the same? But I didn't start taking it until Monday and I've definitely had the appetite shut down due to stress before
