Morning all

Here's the spreadsheet - sorry to keep you all waiting!

So we have four full weeks before our final weigh-in - still time to lose half a stone if you stick at it.

Here's to a good week ahead Flowers

Well done on the essay progress ragz! Halfway there. And it's good to share Wink

ilovecherries · 06/07/2017 20:01

Yes, Heman, the curry Kate and a couple of panache ones as well. The curvy Kate was the only one I bought as a set, the others I just bought the tops out of bravissimo then got plain high waisted (cheap!) bottoms from M&Co in black, royal blue and pink.

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 06/07/2017 20:25

Why did I get fat?....

Coz I liked eating and didn't do enough exercise to get rid of it.

Coz, the carbs in Today's mainstream foods don't give a full feeling of Satiety and encourages over indulgence in calories.

i.e.
breakfast, mid morning snack, lunch, afternoon chocolate bars, big dinner, Supper and a midnight feast of "what do we have hiding in this cupboard".

replaced by
Breakfast, Lunch, BP coffee, dinner, and Cheese and nuts for evening snacks, but not every day.

GoodBadOrIndifferent · 06/07/2017 20:45

For any one else missing legumes flagelot beans could be the way forwards.
Wonder if I could make hummus out of them?

I just had a really nice dessert- I mixed a couple of tablespoons of cream cheese with 1/4 tsp vanilla powder, 1/4 tsp Truvia and a few dark chocolate chips. It was AMAZING, like eating the cheesecake I snaffled the other day but slightly less guilty!

HemanOrSheRa · 06/07/2017 21:15

Oooh err Good. Didn't Hugh Fernley Whittingstall do something like that? Here is a Yotam Ottelenghi recipe for broad bean and AVOCADO dip Shock. I'm sure it would work with flageolet beans. You need to scroll down.

GoodBadOrIndifferent · 06/07/2017 21:41

Heman some lovely recipes there, thanyou!

Bibs2014 · 06/07/2017 22:11

I've eaten too much chocolate again today. Must stay away from chocolate!

It's so hot here in London. And I'm having having the period from hell 😫. I leaked through my trousers on the tube home Blush, thank god they were black.

Menu

Raspberries, blueberries and clotted cream
Chicken, tomato, cucumber, olives
Halloumi, chorizo, salad leaves, cucumber, fried tomato and shallot.
too much dark chocolate

HemanOrSheRa · 06/07/2017 22:25

Tis hot here too in Bristol. DS had a Taekwondo grading tonight. Dear god. The heat. The feet .

I love my Curvy Kate bikinis ilove. Good boobage support and ample knicker coverage make all the difference if one is plumpcious as wants to let it all hang out Grin.

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 06/07/2017 22:34

I've had a very long day and have not been good.
Visit out with my students, usually would have had cake but managed to stick to an iced coffee. Too much Sun.
B. Bacon, egg.
L. Salad, chicken olives and coleslaw.
D. Bolognese with courgetti
S. Cocktail sausages and wine...biiig glass of red.
Too many mini sausages, bought a deliciously Ella peanutty thing from the shop as I was shattered in the way Back, too much sun and walking about 4 miles had done me in. Felt very snackyall day but did stick to mostly ok stuff, just loads of it.
Off to the seaside tomorrow, would usually mean chips, ice cream and doughnuts but instead I've got my salad for lunch and will treat myself to seafood.

Copperas · 06/07/2017 22:40

Another conference today in hot lecture theatre all day. Avoided the croissants and biscuits but not the strawberries - who puts sugar on strawberries? Grrrr.

dustmotesinthesun · 06/07/2017 22:46

Have also had the period from hell. It's taken me by surprise. The heat has been horrible today.

Flisspaps · 06/07/2017 23:22

I've managed a full day of low carb Grin

prettybird · 06/07/2017 23:57

Given the discussion on bikinis, I thought I should post this picture of the sorts of bodies that should wear bikinis.......

prettybird · 06/07/2017 23:59

In fact, I'd forgotten it's also got more general information about appropriate dressing for body shape Wink

A bit too much fruit today but otherwise not bad. I'm feel very glad I lost some weight before the summer heat hit. I feel much slimmer but still too wobbly. I bought some shorts and they are too small, I'd normally send them back but they are lovely and I know I will fit in them before the end of summer. That's a big change in perception and gives me a target NSV.

Still feel nauseous not helped by the heat. Is it likely that eating more sugar after low carbing a while will cause nausea? It's definitely not causing loose stools as mentioned above. I'm more the opposite due to medication, I suspect that can cause the scales to lie as I'm not regular at all.

Userwithoutaname · 07/07/2017 04:59

I fell off the wagon big time Blush and need to get back on as I feel really ill after going on holiday and eating nothing but carbs. I've put on what I lost and more, so ashamed of myself.

I've name changed and won't add myself to the spreadsheet but will join in if I may.

I'm absolutely skint until a week tomorrow so not sure how I'll manage, I have two tins of tuna and some salad, otherwise just carbs. I've about £30 til Monday but not sure what else will go out of my account ... so can maybe get some pork and frozen veg.

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 07/07/2017 06:48

Why did I get fat? Definite sugar addiction here. Sugar leads to more sugar in my book. I can't just have a little bit, it's either all or nothing. So, instead of a couple of squares of chocolate, I'd have to have the whole bar. Therefore, it's wiser just to leave it all alone. LCHF totally kills my sugar cravings, it's the only thing that works for me. How has it taken 30 odd years to find something that works? I'm so gutted that I didn't find it earlier, instead of spending years bingeing & starving, denying myself & being miserable to control my weight.

Old and Clear I'm still alcohol & chocolate free. I must say, I think I was having far too much dark chocolate, I feel so much freer without it. I've even picked some up & put it back on a couple of occasions. The real test will be tomorrow morning when I'm making tiffin for work, pray for me!

Flisspaps well done, how do you feel?

pretty I've seen that before, I love it.

Food today:
B - having a cofffee with coconut cream now, got a few jobs to do, might have some eggs after the school run, depending on if I'm hungry
L - got my eye on the celery & pate
D - lamb steaks & cauli mash

ClearEyesFullHearts · 07/07/2017 06:53

I'd spend some of that money on eggs.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 07/07/2017 06:54

Sorry, that was userwithoutaname

AdalindSchade · 07/07/2017 06:55

Sad I've gone up 2lbs on the scales. My lovely whoosh has gone. I didn't think I had been too bad last weekend but I guess I was, plus another period this week, so I'm hoping it's water retention but it has been resolute on the scales all week so not sure.

www.iflscience.com/health-and-medicine/feeling-euphoric-on-a-lowcarb-diet-the-effect-on-your-brain-is-similar-to-an-illicit-drug/

According to this we should all be acting like we are on GBH!

ClearEyesFullHearts · 07/07/2017 07:01

Aargh, that was for userwithoutaname

hippa I'm not keen on dark chocolate and find it easy to avoid milk chocolate. It tastes nice but so do lots of other things. I guess I can't really relate but think it's great you have less interest in it now.

The longer we go without something the more we forget about it, I find.

StuntNun · 07/07/2017 07:20

NSV of wearing a dress for the first time in years. I normally live in jeans all year round.

Week 7 - Summer Low Carb Bootcamp - are you still with us?!
OldBooks · 07/07/2017 07:30

Stunt you have a lovely figure, you look a lovely hourglass in that dress.

I have an NSV in that my summer shorts are very loose and are slipping down as I move around. I also have a scales victory, another pound lost to my lowest weight so far did I say I wasn't going to weigh any more oooops

I have been avoiding cream and dark choc (until last night) so going to keep limiting that and have also significantly if not entirely stopped snacking so that seems to be helping

Hope you are recovering well C4
