Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Setting this up early this week, as I have a stupid o'clock start tomorrow, and I know I'll forget!

Hope all has gone well this week.

We have three weeks left, so still time to see a significant loss on the scales.

Here's to a good week for us all

Thanks guys, I looked back over MFP and BIWI you're right, the week before I stopped tracking I did have a bit of carb creep, mostly nuts so I've binned them all out of the cupboards.

Today I've had a protein shake this morning, a creamy coffee for lunch and then a chicken, peanut butter and veggie stir fry for dinner with ginger, soy and fish sauce so a kind of low carb satay.

Yesterday was 2 creamy coffees during the day then cheese, chorizo, olives, sun dried tomatoes, celery and pate for dinner

Monday was a takeaway, I had salad, chicken and plenty of mayo to up the fat content. During the day I had a creamy coffee for breakfast and a cooked chicken from Morrisons with salad and mayo for lunch.

Looking at it, there's probably too much protein?

I also haven't drunk my 4 litres for a while, I'm managing about 2.5-3 tops.

According to my pee sticks I haven't left ketosis but I only test about once every 3 days or so, so maybe?

I'm going to go back to full on boot camp this week and if I don't start moving again I'll start tracking in MFP again. I REALLY want to avoid that though because at the end of the day it's not healthy to be tracking everything you eat forever, I want to be free from that really.

Why are you not eating anything until dinner time? That's really not good for you, and it's not Bootcamp!

Again, no food unit dinner - and you're hardly eating anything! This isn't a way of eating that's about depriving yourself, nor should you be restricting your calories like this. This isn't Bootcamp.

Better - but did you also have an oily dressing on the salad?

Looking at it, there's probably too much protein?

I don't think so - but probably could do with more fat?

I also haven't drunk my 4 litres for a while, I'm managing about 2.5-3 tops.

This is also going to be a problem for you - you really do need to drink the water.

Go back and read Bootcamp rules!

Thanks BIWI, I'm not eating anything until dinner because I'm genuinely not hungry at all until about 5pm. I have a busy job so sometimes it can get to 3/4pm and I haven't had 5 minutes to shove something down my neck. Before this WOE I'd be ravenous and I'd then completely over eat by having a ton of snack food (whole tub of pringles and a packet of biscuits etc) or I'd be so hungry I'd stop at KFC on the way home, then have dinner an hour later.

I dunno, some days I fancy something to eat so I eat but if I'm at work a coffee or a protein shake with cream in it will keep me satisfied.

I realise writing it down that I need to make more of an effort to eat during the day. I've just spent so much of my life being told I'm too fat and to stop eating so much, it's hard to reverse that and eat when I'm not hungry.

Just weighed and 2lbs have vanished overnight Grin

Hesdeadjim · 30/03/2017 08:12

I had a look back through old photos this morning. On the left is me at my lowest ever weight of 12st 13lbs. That was almost exactly 5 years ago. On the right is my highest weight of 19st 1lb :( I put on about 6 stone in 5 years. I've never looked at these side by side before, I'm hoping to get down to 1 stoneish below my previous lowest weight by my wedding in April next year.

Why did I do this to myself?? How did I not notice that amount of weight going on??

I weighed in this morning at 17st 1lb which means I've lost 2 stone in total since Jan 1st. The first stone with weight watchers, the second (and the rest!) with low carb :)

2 stone down, 6 to go....

danTDM · 30/03/2017 10:11

Hesdead I am delurking as I need to tell you how fantastically you are doing and it is because of YOU that I have started bootcamp (last week) so keep going! Smile Your progress has been amazing.

By your wedding, you'll be a shadow of your former self Grin

Hesdeadjim · 30/03/2017 10:31

I'm feeling a lot more positive today, I think I just lost the plot a bit.

Thanks for keeping my head together guys Flowers this is why I need this thread!

StuntNun · 30/03/2017 13:28

That's what we're here for Hesdead, everyone should be able to ask for support. It's difficult to tell from your food list but it is possible that you aren't eating enough calories. On this way of eating this can be worse for weight loss than eating too many calories. Too little water and/or too little fat are also common pitfalls. The ethos of Bootcamp is that you shouldn't have to log your food on My Fitness Pal or similar but I do believe it is a useful tool when someone is struggling. I have used it in the past to identify potential problems. It is very unlikely that too much protein is an issue for you, there isn't much evidence for this in people who don't have diabetes.

mrwalkensir · 30/03/2017 15:25

Another one here inspired by Hesdeadjim. My weight crept on when I stopped wearing jeans. As clothes kept on fitting round the waist, I didn't spot the blobbines developing. Think of the 28lbs as packs of butter and you'll be a lot more impressed with yourself

wombattoo · 30/03/2017 20:22

Hesdead Anytime my weight loss stalls (which yours doesn't seem to have done) it is because I slack off on the water. Not drinking enough also weakens my resolve against carbs. You can do this. koko

TodaysFishIsTroutALaCreme · 30/03/2017 20:28

I had a Chinese takeaway tonight. Please can someone advise if my food choices were ok.

I had crispy duck (No pancake, no hoi sin) And chicken foo young (No fried rice)

I chose these because I thought they might be the best of a bad option. The foo young just seemed to be a omelette with chicken and a few veg. There was no sauce as such.

I have been 100% focussed on bootcamp despite having the worst two weeks of my life. I just hope I have not blown all my hard work in one night.

BIWI · 30/03/2017 21:37

Today - I think you made wise choices. Hopefully you enjoyed them as well?!

@Hesdeadjim - just one thing I'd say to you - and please don't take this the wrong way - please remember that you've lost a lot of weight so far. Please consider other posters here who haven't been as successful as you have been.

It can be a bit demoralising for other people to hear someone who has lost such a lot, worrying and - tbh, moaning! - that they haven't lost enough/as much.

Brilliant. Thanks BIWI I bloody loved it.

AIBU to have only just realised that I can have a fry up Blush

BIWI · 30/03/2017 21:52

Yes you are! Eggs, bacon, sausages (low carb of course!) and mushrooms, perhaps with a tomato - is the food of the gods!

Evening all. I'm kokoing.
My weight has been up and my boobs have felt like watermelons about to burst for the last couple of days.Shock Grin Guess it's the totm, better get a whoosh soon.
Had chilli tonight. I was having my monthly pamper session after work (wax and pedi), so texted DH asking him to whizz some cauli to make rice to go with it. Got home to cauli mash... I think it's fair to say he doesn't read my texts properly. Chilli does, however, go surprisingly well with cauli mash. Grin
I'm drinking too much coffee and not enough water at the moment, but I'm trying to hang in there until tomorrow night, when I'll then have 9 whole days off.
Off out to dinner to my favourite restaurant on Saturday for my birthday which was in February, so may go a bit off piste then, but planning on keeping on it otherwise.
I am determined to get to the end of bootcamp this time.
Sorry, that was long and very self centred, just needed to waffle a bit.

Well done everyone else for kokoing - we CAN do this.

TodaysFishIsTroutALaCreme · 30/03/2017 22:07

I LOVE this WOE GrinGrin

CaptainBraandPants · 30/03/2017 22:15

Todays Me, too. Grin

SummerSazz · 30/03/2017 22:32

I didn't weigh this week as have been overseas with work. I've managed good low carb choices, lots of water and even swum twice but as most of my time has been spent in hotels, airports and planes I have had vino and little dishes of nuts rather too often....

Will weigh tomorrow to assess the damage - I definitely feel rather more blobby than when I left. Boo.

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 30/03/2017 23:15

So stalling again around 212 to 214 so going to have an evening doing diddly, have a lots of water and an early night.

I have noticed on Saturday's when I have my longest sleep of the week of 8ish hours I lose 2lb.

Also noticed previously if I cut too many calories and do a 10 km a night walk I didn't lose much.

But having gone from 289 to 204 to 238 to 214 in the last 18 months. I know it works, if I give the body enough to work with, without scaring it with lack of food and water, it will shed the weight.

Just gotta lay-off the beer and carbs on holiday/Christmas/travelling with work.

Hesdeadjim · 31/03/2017 07:49

BIWI sorry Sad

boatgirl81 · 31/03/2017 08:08

Hesdeadjiim, I think it is just so hard sometimes to see all the good that you have already achieved. At the moment my weight loss seems to be one of the only things I talk about, I must be driving my husband mad but I just want to be slim again. Not sure if it is the right thing or not by I weight myself everyday and get annoyed if I don't see a slight change daily, in my mind I know it is ridiculous but I want to see those pounds shift so much.

Does anyone really struggle with the weekends? Traditionally it has always been my time to have a curry, a few beers, poppadoms etc and I know I could do a low carb curry but I can't seem to stop the association with beer yet so would just feel deprived!

ASDismynormality · 31/03/2017 08:19

Grah0SoontobeaFatty 289 the 204 is amazing. Really inspirational, shows how well this WOE can work.

Kleptronic · 31/03/2017 08:39

I hear you boat my weekend downfall is Prosecco!

Hesdeadjim · 31/03/2017 08:49

Sorry I feel a bit rubbish after your comment BIWI and I want to reply.

I've lost quite a bit because I've got a huge amount to lose, it comes off much quicker when you're this size so if my posts have made anyone feel crappy, don't. Be thankful you didn't get yourself to my size in the first place.

As for 'moaning', sorry but I think that's a bit of an inappropriate thing to say considering this is a place people come for support and you're in a position of authority. That made me feel humiliated about the fact I've asked you guys for help and it's come across as moaning, or that when I have asked for help that's what you thought of me.

It's made me embarrassed about asking for help in the future which is upsetting because this thread has been a massive source of support for me.

If you meant it in jest, it can be so hard to communicate tone online so I'd respectfully suggest prequalifying comments like that.

You clearly felt there was an issue that needed addressing which I've taken on board, but it would have been better to raise it over a private message rather than making me feel publicly humiliated and too embarrassed to post again in fear of upsetting people.

Sorry.

Copperas · 31/03/2017 09:02

Hesdeadjim please dont feel bad - I've been following these threads because you particularly have been an inspiration to me. Chin up, gal: don't let that self doubt creep back in. Its not called bootcamp for nothing (which is why I'm lurking, not on it)

Veryflummoxed · 31/03/2017 09:13

Hesdead please don't feel humiliated. BIWI gives support, she also wields a big stick. I know that her stricter posts are as necessary to me as her supportive ones even if it does sting sometimes. And yes weight loss does slow as you have less to loose. However remember that it also shows more: so if you're checking measurements, clothing, looking in the mirror a pound of can be just as satisfying as five pounds off once was. KOKO. Flowers
