Evening all!

Just getting this out there, so that everyone knows where to go/what to do in the morning.

Here's the link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I'd like to say a massive thank you and Flowers to Sayrra and Wombattoo who set this up and maintain it for us all.

PLEASE don't touch anything other than the cell where you input your weight.

If your name isn't on the list, just add it to the bottom, and it will be magically re-alphabetised to include you.

It's called the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness because of all the information and resources that are available to us. Look at the tabs at the bottom - the rules are there, along with the veg counter, and all manner of resources for you to read up more about low carbing.

If you can't access it, or can't input your weight, just add your weight to the chat thread, and someone will do it for you. (I believe it's difficult to do it from your phone).

But more than anything else, a massive good luck to you all!

All I can say to you is follow the rules!

It does work, but only if you follow them.

Good luck everyone.

There is a kinder bueno in the cupboard, calling my name. It belongs to dc - might have to go on school run early in order not to eat it. I don't even like kinder bueno - they are the rich tea of the chocolate world!

ASDismynormality · 09/02/2017 15:05

hesdeadjim, I've got also got a large amount of weight to lose. I was a bit skeptic of this to start with but four weeks in I have lost 16lbs and more importantly feel much less sluggish than I used to. I also don't feel deprived which is unlike any other diet. It's certainly worth a try,

Hesdeadjim · 09/02/2017 15:11

ASDismynormality that's a stone in a month!! Shock

I'm just going to take the leap of faith and try it. Can't get any worse really can it??

LongtimeLurkerNowPokemonHunter · 09/02/2017 15:37

BursarsFrogs · 09/02/2017 15:59

I'm feeling more alive today, and haven't been very hungry, so all good. I had counselling today, with some upsetting content, so I'm quite pleased with myself for not reaching for comfort foods afterwards.

Breakfast was some leftoever shepherd's pie from last night.
Lunch was a bit on the go, so I had an avocado and some co yo (yum!) and some tea with cream in.
Dinner will be pork loin steaks, broccoli with butter, and some salad.

I'm not a huge fan of pork belly slices. I read all the tips up thread, so might be brave and try them next week. For now, I'll just cook my loin steaks with butter...

Hesdeadjim welcome and trust us, it won't make you suddenly gain loads of fat. www.dietdoctor.com/ is a good site to read, I find, for all kinds of things low carb, if you're looking for backed up information. :)

wombattoo · 09/02/2017 18:07

Evening everyone
Welcome Hesdead and Longtime Jump right in and ask away if you have any questions.
Hesdead Do want adding to the spreadsheet? I noted you weight above
concrete I've added your weight

dementedma · 09/02/2017 18:18

Is there a recipe for the bacon and egg cups mentioned above? They sound nice and a change from hard boiled eggs for breakfast. Reporting less bloating, feeling lighter and the headaches now easier.

pk78 · 09/02/2017 18:21

Dinner tonight broccoli and cheese soup with a dollop of butter , salad and curried boiled eggSmile

StuntNun · 09/02/2017 18:47

Why would anyone think "a calorie is a calorie" regardless of its source?

Been lurking and now am biting the bullet, have followed boot camp
Rules since Monday. I didn't have scales until today so would someone please add me and my weight 13st 2 Sad to the spreadsheet.

Love this way of eating though so yummy!

Today B - cheesy scrambled eggs
Lunch roast beef with buttered cabbage and swede
Dinner pork loin steaks in a creamy mushroom sauce with broccoli

Trying to check in daily from now on as it holds me accountable ....

mistywillow17 · 09/02/2017 19:00

I've found today a lot trickier as I don't work on Thursdays or Fridays and have spent the day with the toddler - it's difficult to break the habit of sharing/finishing off his food, and I've just caught myself in time a few times today. I've not had enough water either, so trying to make up for that now.
But I do have a nice chicken roasting in the oven, smelling divine, and I can't wait to snaffle all of the crispy skin, so that is cheering me up!

Lucy7400 · 09/02/2017 19:05

Ok, so kit kat aside Hmm I have had:

B Halloumi fried in olive oil and olives
L 2 barnseley lamb chops with brocolli
D - yet to have. Going out for dinner so will do my best Confused

Snacked on a few bits of mozarella.

I will not drink wine, I will not drink wine, I will not drink wine.Halo

Patapouf · 09/02/2017 19:22

B: McDonald's sausage and egg mcmuffin with no muffin. 3 g of carbs so not the disaster I thought it would be. I left my breakfast/lunch bag in the fridge and this was the only thing within 2miles of my office.
L: Chorizo, halloumi and 2x mushroom & leek egg muffins. Fortunately finished work early so only had to wait until 3 for lunch.
D: celeriac chips with homemade Angus burgers and mayo.
3L of water so far, 500ml to go.

KOKO everyone Flowers

playmobilpeacock · 09/02/2017 19:25

I find it so hard being at home all day too Misty.

I cook 3x a day, 7 days a week for two young children and that's a lot of temptation! I will resist.

I had the last of the beef stew rolled up in lettuce leaves for lunch. This also makes a great alternative wrap for chicken fajitas.

Dinner was low carb bolognese with courgette strips. May need to have some yogurt in a bit.

Youcandoit36 · 09/02/2017 19:46

How do you guys put flavour in your food.

Today I had

2 boiled eggs, cucumber and goats cheese

Lunch: tuna mayo

Dinner 100g steak strips, cauliflower rice, broccoli and mushrooms

Snack- small cube of cheese.

Is this ok? Haven't done low carb before and don't really get it yet

Youcandoit36 · 09/02/2017 19:47

Sorry I should also say I am.pescatarian so I am trying to eat the lowest carb quorn foods

BIWI · 09/02/2017 19:47

@Lucy7400 We're only on day 4, and you're cheating and eating chocolate already?

And you're about to go out and drink wine, aren't you?

Seriously - you really need to commit to this WOE or it simply won't work for you.

You can't compensate for cheating on a low carb diet like you can on a low calorie diet.

I've been sooooo good all week. 4lb down since Monday. But, forgive me BIWI, for I have sinned. I've just eaten 1 tiny square of a bar of Cadburys caramel. In my defence it is a 200g bar, so it could be much worse. The guilt however is horrendous Sad.

Imissmy0ldusername · 09/02/2017 20:10

Working from home today - made it a lot easier to get decent coffee into my system - this is a good thing, although DH took shelter at about 9:30am because I was as hyper as when I'd had a fair few beers in the past!

So, breakfast was a pile of different seafoody bits, lettuce and mayo, lunch was roast chicken mayo & lettuce. Tea was pork belly slices with broccoli & baby corn. I think the plan for the next few days is to gradually increase the portions of veg, as I wolfed down the broccoli. I reckon I could have just had the veg this evening, to be honest.

I've lost track of the amount of water I've drank - but it's well over the 3l mark.

Musicianofbremen · 09/02/2017 20:10

I found today a lot better.

I hope I am over the hump now. Also I busier and didn't run so didn't have the hunger associated with that to deal with.

Could finally face eggs for breakfast woohoo.

B: scrambled eggs with double cream on whilted greens and black coffee
L: chicken and vegetable soup. Very brothy. Delicious.
D: lasagne made with the courgette sheets and ricotta cheese instead of white sauce. A bit runny I think I will do the courgettes in the microwave a bit and then dry them next time.

Snacks have been pork scratchings, a babybel and my whipped yoghurt/cream goop.

Grin Imiss...

Coffee is my last vice for sure.

SummerSazz · 09/02/2017 20:12

Done all today

30 day shred before work
L - chicks (skin on) with mixed leaves & toms, mayo and grated cheese
S - chicken tikka pieces
D - salmon with a ton of spinach and homemade coleslaw, 3 tablespoons of FF yoghurt

Making a korma tomorrow night - 11g carbs and is delicious. I may splash out and have a poppadom (3.4g carbs) Grin

NapoleonsNose · 09/02/2017 20:17
