Morning all. Sorry for the later than usual thread, but I'm away at the moment/1

Anyway, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

As we've now completed the first two, more strict, weeks of Bootcamp you have a choice. You can move on to Bootcamp Light, (rules are on the spreadsheet tabs), which essentially means you can add in a few nuts/seeds, and some fruit (berries, and strictly in moderation), and you can have alcohol occasionally.

However, if you haven't really done Bootcamp strictly enough, or you cheated, or just because you think it's going well, you can stay on Bootcamp. (If you do, though, please make sure your carbs are mainly coming from vegetables and salad, to make sure that you're getting a good balance of nutrition)

Alternatively, you can do Bootcamp during the week but Bootcamp Light at the weekend. The choice is yours.

However, there is one thing I have to warn you about. Weeks 3 and 4 are notorious for little or no weight loss. If this happens to you, please don't panic! Just keep on keeping on and things will start to move again.

After initial big losses in the first couple of weeks, you can't feasibly expect to see that continue, and you should that weight loss settles down at around 1-3lbs a week, depending on how much you have to lose.

Good luck all! Flowers

mook well done on the poopage Grin

Veryflummoxed · 01/06/2016 08:12

Glenthebattleostrich I tried the slim noodles for first time yesterday. I enjoyed them in the rich creamy sauce. dh didn't mix his in and didn't like them. Neither of us have any ill effects. Someone earlier in the the thread (I think it was Monkeyface but may have got that completely wrong) had ill effects but was giving them another go. Would be interesting to know if they got on OK the second time.

Veryflummoxed · 01/06/2016 08:29

And oh yes, congratulations Mook that really is cause for celebration. Grin

feekerry · 01/06/2016 08:41

Been at grandads funeral Sad in another country for nearly a week so no weigh in for me as want to use same scales. Back soon so will keep on.
Well done to all that lost x

Mookbark · 01/06/2016 08:43

Thank you for the congratulations my pooing is obviously on a par with Raedy's new job - proper congratulations for that Flowers
I managed to survive a day alone with the DC without resorting to carbs yesterday, so a definite win there. I'm leaving them for most of the day today. Out later shopping, followed by a wax and pedicure this afternoon. Smile I will drink too much coffee today, but will make sure I drink plenty of water, too.
Making something with mince this evening.

Mookbark · 01/06/2016 08:45

feek So sorry to hear that. Flowers Hope you are bearing up.

Titsalinabumsquash · 01/06/2016 09:16

Thanks for the suggestions,

I'm going to try and make the crackers and will take some babybell and pepperami for them.
I might try some oopsie rolls and make them the night before I go, apparently they last in an air tight container for 3 days.
Olives are a good idea, they sell little foil packets in Tesco so I'll grab some of those when I go.

If I don't stick to it while I'm there I fear I'll feel awful and have an upset stomach which isn't great when looking after DS and baby DD on a ward with v high hygiene and infection control measures in place for the children no immune system.

reader77 · 01/06/2016 09:31

I'm going to be out all morning and I'm not hungry yet so don't plan on eating or drinking much. I've got a little pack of almonds just in case I get starved all of a sudden but just had a coffee with cream so far.

My appetite has really changed. I feel I control it now rather than it controls me.

I've never been hugely overweight or massively over eaten but I'm definitely an emotional eater. It's nice to feel I'm in control of my body, I really believe my body can crave carbs when I eat them too much.

CathemeralChild · 01/06/2016 10:02

Anyone else fed up of keep having to wipe down the hob and tiles from all the frying? Mine is gas and has too many fiddly bits! Grin

StuntNun · 01/06/2016 10:03

Kummer if you're worried about the fat then you could ask your GP to test your cholesterol levels. Last time I had mine done my triglycerides (the amount of fat circulating in the blood) were really low. They should be below 2 mmol/l, mine were only 0.22 mmol/l. Very reassuring considering I was getting 80% of my calories from fat at the time.

Tits +++ on the ketone sticks probably means you aren't drinking enough water. For your hospital stay I would take nuts, peperamis, olives, pork scratchings, and if you take some olive oil and vinegar then you can get salad but put a proper dressing on it.

MaryThorne · 01/06/2016 10:04

I'm working from home today which should be a good test of how well things are going. Before I started LCHF, working from home had become my downfall when I was trying to lose weight by calorie counting as I always succumbed to whatever snacks I could find in the cupboard. Fingers crossed!!

MaryThorne · 01/06/2016 10:06

Cathemeral I tend to use a mesh splash guard over the pan which cuts back on splatter. Amazon sell them for about a fiver.

Wintersea · 01/06/2016 10:37

Morning all
Posting not reading as in s rush but I will read tonight!
Well scales stayed the same after my weekend away - followed BC mostly with just that one celebratory mean out, so pleased with that
Hungry now though, nothing in the house ok to eat and hv to wait in for a delivery!
Away again tomorrow for a few days (my life is not usually like this), which will be more challenging.
No idea about food today yet but yesterday I had
B coffee with cream
L ham, grated cheese and tomato
D steak with herb butter, green beans and salad
Not enough water - must remedy that today as working from home and don't need to play hunt the loo!
Hope everyone is doing okay!

ReggaeShark · 01/06/2016 10:53

CC I'm with you on the hob thing, despite using a splash guard thingy.

Yesterday I had
B: 2 scrambled eggs with butter and cream, creamy decaf
L: haloumi fried in olive oil with a bit of lime juice (allowed?) and Olives on raw baby Spinach leaves and a bit of Tatziki
D: horrid cauli pizza (nowhere near as nice as the IPD one I made years ago but I've thrown out my IPD books Sad) Left half of it
S: ham and mayo roll ups
H2O: prob more than I need according to the spreadsheet. Is this bad?
v small glass red wine

CiderwithBuda · 01/06/2016 10:59

I've just had a CoYo yoghurt. Very yummy. But.

£2 for a yoghurt???? One. Not a multipack!

regularbutpanickingabit · 01/06/2016 11:05

Morning!
CAn't believe how hard it was to face breakfast this morning and to eat dinner last night. I didn't actually finish either. My appetite has totally changed which I hope means I am getting fat adapted. Is that the right terminology?

B - leftover pork belly slices with fat juices and spinach
L - thinking scrambled eggs and cream with mushrooms fried in butter
D - have leftover chicken thighs and roasted veg with feta from last night. Delicious. Only there isn't enough for us all. Have another pack of chicken so am wondering if I buy more veg to do the same but maybe vary the chicken? Also have a pack of Black Farmer sausages to use up. Hmmm. Need to think.
S - don't know yet but still have celery as I didn't actually need it yesterday

regularbutpanickingabit · 01/06/2016 11:12

Please can I ask for ingredient substitute wisdom? Found this Nigella recipe for sausage and chicken and sage which sounds perfect but it has a TABLESPOON of worcestershire sauce and that seems to be a huge amount of carbs.
I know we are past BC but I would like to keep going on it for as long as I can and only go BC lite when I really have to.
I did a search and found someone saying that you could mix tamarind with stuff or red wine vinegar and fish sauce but I have no experience of those ingredients and no idea about quantities and flavours.
Here's the original recipe... www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/nigella-lawson/one-pan-sage-and-onion-chicken-and-sausage-recipe.html

WanHeda · 01/06/2016 11:16

I use mushroom ketchup in place of worc sauce.

eleven59 · 01/06/2016 11:17

I'm feeling grotty the last two days. Hungry, nauseous, craving sugar, wobbly, tired and headachey. Here's my food, anything wrong with it??

Yesterday
B eggs and bacon
L spinach, olives, ham and cheese
D cauli crust pizza

I also drank water and salt water (yuck)

Today
B 2 BPC salami
L 1 BPC eggs and bacon

Now off to shop to get stock cubes to see if that helps

Thanks for nut butter help. The one I've got is 5g carbs per 100g and it is declicious

WanHeda · 01/06/2016 11:21

The only thing I can see is heavy on the processed meats and maybe low on veg & fat?

Wintersea · 01/06/2016 11:23

Is the carb count for 100g though regular?
If not a tablespoonful will only be 15-20g so you should be ok (esp if the recipe is for 4 people)
Or am I being too lax?!

NotdeadyetBOING · 01/06/2016 11:45

Forgot to say - weighed myself yesterday and was 133 lbs - so decent loss for first week. Quite chuffed.

Have been generally good. A bit of cheating with strawberries and peas (not together, obv!). And just had an Atkins chocolate bar which I sure BIWI will be v. unamused by. BUT - had been swimming and just fancied a small treat.

Have looked back at MFP entries and my 'normal' daily carb count was scarily high - like 300g. So managing around 50g a day at the moment is astonishing in comparison.

Staring at some turkey and wondering what to do to it - will probably involved butter and creme fraiche….. Annoying about onions being so carby….

This WOE is a massive shock for me as completely opposite to everything I used to do or understood as healthy eating. But it's a revelation in a good way!!

boldlygoingsomewhere · 01/06/2016 12:03

I also struggled to eat three meals yesterday- just felt constantly full! Forced myself to eat some omelette for dinner but decided that I will only eat if hungry today. Had yoghurt for breakfast and just had couple of salami slices and handful of nuts and olives for lunch. Don't feel like eating more...

NotdeadyetBOING · 01/06/2016 12:36

Oh my good GOd. Just realised something amazing. I can have carbonnara, can't I? As long as I use those rubbery fake noodle things. What an utter joy and indulgence. Smile

MaryThorne · 01/06/2016 12:55

Or you could use courgetti Notdead Smile
