Morning all. Sorry for the later than usual thread, but I'm away at the moment/1

Anyway, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

As we've now completed the first two, more strict, weeks of Bootcamp you have a choice. You can move on to Bootcamp Light, (rules are on the spreadsheet tabs), which essentially means you can add in a few nuts/seeds, and some fruit (berries, and strictly in moderation), and you can have alcohol occasionally.

However, if you haven't really done Bootcamp strictly enough, or you cheated, or just because you think it's going well, you can stay on Bootcamp. (If you do, though, please make sure your carbs are mainly coming from vegetables and salad, to make sure that you're getting a good balance of nutrition)

Alternatively, you can do Bootcamp during the week but Bootcamp Light at the weekend. The choice is yours.

However, there is one thing I have to warn you about. Weeks 3 and 4 are notorious for little or no weight loss. If this happens to you, please don't panic! Just keep on keeping on and things will start to move again.

After initial big losses in the first couple of weeks, you can't feasibly expect to see that continue, and you should that weight loss settles down at around 1-3lbs a week, depending on how much you have to lose.

Good luck all! Flowers

Evening all. Okish day I think.

B- two eggs fried in butter with a slice of beef pastrami. Creamy coffee.

L- Courgetti with lamb curry. Green tea.

D- seekh kebabs with a slice of cheese. A bit small but all I fancy.

About 2 litres of water so far.

A bit meat heavy today.

bettyblueeyes83 · 31/05/2016 20:28

Up a random 2lbs this am (daily weigher). Really hope to see some downward movement on the scales soon, I'm failing to make any further progress than I did in the first week and it's making me feel like I'm doing something wrong, although otherwise I feel good.

B: FF Greek Yoghurt with splash of cream, vanilla powder, tsp of flaxseed
L: two hard-boiled eggs, feta, half an avocado, rocket, baby spinach
D: smoked mackerel fillet, fried halloumi, rocket/spinach, dressing made from mayo, Creme fraiche and olive oil
S: large whole milk cappuccino (had this as a treat instead of usual Americano with cream as it was my 10th free coffee, big mistake when I looked up the carb count!)

lisbapalea · 31/05/2016 20:37

Really good day food wise but not enough water:

B - ff yog & dble cream with berries
L - went to a zoo and feared the worst but lucked out with a ham salad with extra grated cheese, loads of mayo and a mayo heavy home made coleslaw
D - sausages with an oven roasted flat mushroom with butter, broccoli and green beans
S - a couple of squares of 85% dark choc

Guzzling loads of water now to make up for not enough during the day so will no doubt need a wee in the middle of the night!

Evening all! I've been really hungry this evening and so had a few left over pork belly slices (eek!) before my dinner of meatballs but I'd run out of courgettes so had them with salad. I am now totally stuffed and feel bad for over doing it on the pork Confused

I have bought ingredients to make butter chicken and Linda's taco seasoning for some mince that I need to cook tomorrow. We're all about the butter chicken on this thread!

B - leftover chicken breast with bacon, baby leaves and spinach, fried egg on top, tea w soya milk
L - on the go - pret egg an spinach protein pot and M&S manchego cheese wrapped in prosciutto (very nice!)
D - pork belly, meatballs and salad

Now i have read that the urine dip tests aren't all that reliable when checking ketones but I thought I'd have a go today since I have some in the tardis that is my medical room. It showed up +++ dark for ketones, is that good?

Also, I'm trying to plan ahead and DS is in a hospital in London for a week next month, it's 4 hrs away from home and Dd and I will be staying with him. I want to stay on boot camp but I'll be at the mercy of the v.expensive hospital cafe (think £5 for 2 slices of toast and a coffee!) , no parents facilities on the ward. I'll take a few water bottles to fill up at the fountain and I know I can get eggs and bacon and mushrooms for breakfast, lunch I'm guessing I'll have to have salad with eggs and ham or cheese but dinner will be a challenge. I can't think of anything non perishable that I can pack in our bag, normally I fill a bag with crisps, flapjacks and cakes and fruit for when I can't afford to buy food everyday. Blush

Right, following the advice yesterday I have tried to increase my fat. I still don't feel absolutely comfortable about it despite having read all the information about LCHF but have decided I can always think about it again at some point in the future.

B- 2 eggs and splosh of egg white scrambled with cream and butter, 1 Heck sausage
L- 1 roast chicken leg, prawns in marie rose sauce, salad leaves, tomato, radish and butter with salt
T- Leftover barbecue meat, cauliflower cheese and microwave veg pack (kale, broccoli, mange tout, daikon radish and carrot)

Only cheats were a bit of milk in tea (I love builders' tea and can't drink it without a tiny bit of milk) and 8 almonds
I am on holiday soon so really want to get a good couple of weeks in before then

readyforno2 · 31/05/2016 21:20

Another meat heavy day! But feeling all better and appetite is catching up with me.

B: BPC
L: Lettuce wraps wth beef slices and cheese
D: Lamb kofta with salad

I might not have lost much this week but I feel better and am noticing small changes in my body. All good stuff and fingers crossed it continues!

trixymalixy · 31/05/2016 22:13

Today was a good day, but I felt hungry in the afternoon and hadn't managed to get some supplies at lunchtime. I wonder if it was due to having some wine last night or not having enough fat during the day?

B boiled eggs
L prawn and avocado salad
D chilli with cauli rice, cream and cheese
S I had a bit of butter as most of the day was too low fat I think.

trixymalixy · 31/05/2016 22:14

Oh I also ran 5k at lunchtime and played 2hours of tennis tonight, so hopefully burnt some fat!

dataandspot · 31/05/2016 22:24

BIWI

If weight loss stalls in weeks 3 and 4 do people have big losses as if weeks 3 and 4 weight is coming off in a lump or does weight loss just re start?

BIWI · 31/05/2016 22:52

Weight loss should return, but at a lower rate than before, so from week 5 onwards you should see a loss of 1-3lbs a week, depending on how much you have to lose.

Sorry everyone, have been pretty absent today as have just had so much on.

sneaks back in

Hello! Had a small snafu on Saturday - I was already BC lite and had some planned LC drinkies with my sister - trouble is that although I have no problem drinking vodka soda apparently drunk gcal has absolutely no impulse control around carbage snack foods when inebriated. Safe to say I felt awful on Sunday and daren't weigh. Back on it on Sunday with a big fry up but forgot the new thread had started and missed it.

Am back to BC and will stick to it properly. Still a bit more hungry today but not craving carbage.

BPC
Fried avocado in butter with bacon
Chicken thigh, mushrooms, garlic, chilli, butter, cream sauce with courgettie
Ham and butter roll ups with lettuce
Coffee with cream

Gcalgske · 01/06/2016 01:25

3perfectweemen in reply to ribs question probably not. Most Chinese restaurants will marinade meat in cornflour or something else carby. Best ask.

Gcalgske · 01/06/2016 01:30

Re. Butter chicken, you are right it's a lot of onion and tomato. Swap for shallot and reduce tomato if you are worried (i'd probably 1/2 it and add some stock) or just have it as my slightly more carby meal that day and have something very low (salad leaves etc) with lunch.

glenthebattleostrich · 01/06/2016 03:32

Why didn't I listen to the people who had issues with the fake rice / noodles. Awake with trapped wind and feel like someone is squeezing my guts :(

lexloofah · 01/06/2016 07:28

titsalina there's a few cracker recipes on the recipe thread that you could make and take to the hospital then get some butter with one of your canteen meals to spread on them later in the day or take a jar of peanut butter maybe. Hats off to you for sticking to it under difficult circumstances.

lasttimeround · 01/06/2016 07:38

I got caught on the hop yesterday during a slightly unplanned shopping trip. Ended up buying an atkins shake. I'm trying to avoid fake carbs and sweeteners and not eat foods that a replicas of carb foods. Besides yucky shake - all chalky

Otherwise my chicken liver pate is great. Lovely snack alternative to cheese. If you make it yourself there's no hidden carbs and it's easy. Just liver and butter and seasonings. But I guess you have to like liver pate. I adore it. It's such a treat as it's so fat I usually avoid it.

Happy Wednesday everyone

Mookbark · 01/06/2016 07:54

I have pooed. In fact, it was a veritable poonami.
Sorry, TMI. As you were.

WanHeda · 01/06/2016 07:56

last I love homemade liver pate, I need to make some again! Shame that I can't make my homemade chutney to go with it Grin

Going out for lunch today, but the place doesn't have their menu online! I like to be prepared and work out before hand what I can have - argh!

WanHeda · 01/06/2016 07:58

Tits, I hope your DS is ok. Good luck with staying on track while he is in hospital, hats off to you. You could stock up on things like babybels, pepperami, and other non-perishable foods. Is there a supermarket nearby that you can pop out to?
