Morning all. Sorry for the later than usual thread, but I'm away at the moment/1

Anyway, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

As we've now completed the first two, more strict, weeks of Bootcamp you have a choice. You can move on to Bootcamp Light, (rules are on the spreadsheet tabs), which essentially means you can add in a few nuts/seeds, and some fruit (berries, and strictly in moderation), and you can have alcohol occasionally.

However, if you haven't really done Bootcamp strictly enough, or you cheated, or just because you think it's going well, you can stay on Bootcamp. (If you do, though, please make sure your carbs are mainly coming from vegetables and salad, to make sure that you're getting a good balance of nutrition)

Alternatively, you can do Bootcamp during the week but Bootcamp Light at the weekend. The choice is yours.

However, there is one thing I have to warn you about. Weeks 3 and 4 are notorious for little or no weight loss. If this happens to you, please don't panic! Just keep on keeping on and things will start to move again.

After initial big losses in the first couple of weeks, you can't feasibly expect to see that continue, and you should that weight loss settles down at around 1-3lbs a week, depending on how much you have to lose.

Good luck all! Flowers

Grin at accidentally ordering champagne.

I've just weighed myself and will not be eating pizza. Maybe a bite of DC's just for the flavour. I have excellent self control when I'm happy; it's when I'm despondent it all goes to pot.
And I am happy. All my clothes are starting to fit and I'm wearing a dress I haven't worn since last summer. I kept peering down it last night to check my boobs were still in my bra and not spilling out the top! 😂😂

CiderwithBuda · 05/06/2016 10:52

WanHeda - sorry about your news. Flowers

Cathemeral - hard one. If you can limit yourself to one slice I would maybe go for but really limit your other carbs. And be prepared that it might kick off cravings, cause bloating and stall your weight loss. If you are ok with that have a slice, enjoy it and get right back on track and drink loads of water. Something special that you can't avoid or as in your case won't be happening again is something I would be fine with.

I had a night out last night. Funnily enough it was with the girls who go to the circuits class I was going to and a couple of personal training clients of my friend. Night out was to celebrate them all coming to the end of a six week health and fitness challenge. Great evening and they have all done really well. I'm looking forward to getting back to circuits once my radiotherapy finishes.

Anyway - had checked out the menu online before and had planned what to eat and drink. Gin and slimline tonics. Goats cheese and salad for starter. Peri peri chicken and I swapped the chips for rocket and Parmesan salad. All good until my goats cheese came in breadcrumbs. I ate one piece. And then one friend wanted wine and all the others were on Prosecco so I had wine with her. We shared a bottle. First wine in almost three weeks. It was lovely and I really enjoyed it. So not a great night but not as bad as it would have been in the past.

Other food yesterday

Brunch- square sausage (Heck) with fried eggs, a small piece of bacon, half a tomato and some mushrooms fried in butter
Snack - Babybels and a slice of ham and some prosciutto
Dinner - as above

Scales are not being friendly but I know why. Too much dairy, small slice of apple pie, Prosecco, berries and now wine. Also three days of not enough water. And no bathroom action!

Today is a new day and a new start. Back on track. I'm not expecting any loss tomorrow. In fact this morning's weigh in showed a gain.

Have a good Sunday everyone. Steak on the menu here later which I'm looking forward to a lot.

StuntNun · 05/06/2016 10:53

What did the delivery driver say about the champagne Mook? At least you didn't order four packets of condoms! Wink

A tip for getting things moving if you're bunged up is a teaspoonful of coconut oil. I stir it into rooibos tea.

CiderwithBuda · 05/06/2016 10:54

Grin at the champagne! Funny!

CathemeralChild · 05/06/2016 10:55

Those of you who are a bit bunged up, are you eating lots of veg, especially leafy green stuff like spinach or posh lettuce?
It will fill you up, has less than 1.5 carbs per big bag, is rich in vitamins and minerals, and will provide the fibre you need.

And what's the received wisdom on eggs these days? DM always claims that eggs are binding and especially good after an upset stomach to firm you up again. Could too many bung you up, or is this just an old wives' tale?

I'm eating them everyday and am fine, but I'm also eating lots of fibre in raw veg and salad, and drinking all my water.

princessconsuelabannahammock · 05/06/2016 11:20

Just made the crackers from the recipe thread for a picnic later, they are OK but a bit crumbly but will be fine with lovely liver pate on top.
I was getting bored with my usual meals so been all over the thread and now have loads of ideas to add into our rotation of meals.

Got into a pair of size 14 shorts today, admittedly they are per una so massive but I will take it! Off on my hols in 3 weeks so need to get into my size 14 dresses now.

I went out with friends on Friday night to a Thai place and was very restrained - I had chicken satay, veg tempura and chicken and coconut milk soup. Obvs quite a few carbs there but I was mindful as normally I would say sod it and have a massive bowl of noodles or rice.

I have been doing weight training and 4 or so weeks in and I can see a massive change in my shape, I am still rather large but I don't jiggle so much.

Love this woe as I am losing weight and I don't feel like I am powerless over my previously ever increasing weight.

SingToMeInFrench · 05/06/2016 11:31

Currently at soft play hell, drinking a large Americano and have resisted DCs chocolate buttons. Normally I would have sneaked a few and thought "it can't hurt".

It's hard when the scales aren't moving in the desired way, but I keep remembering what BIWI and others have said about this week. I am losing inches, I can feel it in my clothes- wish I had taken measurements at the start.

Loving the photos too! I take some of those savoury egg muffins BIWI posted on a previous thread, with chillies and pancetta. They are nice! I was surprised!

CiderwithBuda · 05/06/2016 11:49

I usually take magnesium to stop the bunged-upness. Haven't been doing that last couple of days or drinking my water. So I suspect that's what it is in my case.

Princess - congrats on the 14s. I dream of 14s. Even Per Una ones!

BursarsFrogs · 05/06/2016 12:17

I love the accidental champagne. Grin

I've resorted to taking senna in the evenings. Magnesium, water, linseeds and veggies just weren't doing it for me...

My insomnia is clearly getting worse. I've been up from 4.30 energetically attempting housework and messing about with art supplies (without actually getting anything done).

princessconsuelabannahammock · 05/06/2016 12:20

Thanks Cider i was a size 22 a couple of years ago after DS was born. I have done a few of the bootcamps and tried and mainly failed to be low carb most of the time. In the last 2 years i have had a serious change in my outlook relating to food, my weight is very slowly on a downward trend. I put on 3 st whilst doing SW but had gestational diabetes whilst pregnant so now realise i am obvs very carb sensitive. Being able to eat and enjoy fat is a revelation.

It will be the first time i have been a size 14 since i gave up the fags 7 years ago ( except for a few very short months when i slimmed down for my wedding).

Binning the scales and going by how my clothes feel has been really helpful. I am sure with the weight training i have done i havent lost much weight but i am alot firmer and now have a waist - previously had been very hourglass shaped - pre kids! Just need to lose half a dress size in 3 weeks so will have a go at uber bootcamp for a few days to see if that can get me in the zone -also no tiny cheats or wine or dairy for the next 3 weeks, big sigh but it will be worth it!

Veryflummoxed · 05/06/2016 12:25

Cathermeral hope the sun shines for you. Eat fat before you go, glad your feeling happy enough to resist.

Mookbark sorry but you made me laugh. Grin

ClopySow · 05/06/2016 12:26

I actually made a mess of it for last week partly because i was so ill prepared at home. Not enough stuff in the house for lunches. Also because i've been on annual leave since wednesday. I'm so much better at staying in a good routine when i'm at work.

Definitely lacking in veg this week. Definitely lacking in water. And then my total arse up on the carb front.

Wintersea · 05/06/2016 12:45

Well I'm waiting at airport wondering what the scales will show in the morning! Food wise I have been okay - no bread or fries, picking croutons out of salads, etc but I have had a couple of gins (and there's no slimline tonic here) and a couple of glasses of wine. Really enjoyed it though and have walked loads so hopefully not too much damage done. Not had enough water as didn't want to looking for toilets all the time so must drink loads of water next week. Some great meal ideas on here. I've also been interested in the whole how much can you eat/portion size debate. I've never weighed my vegetables and can eat loads of cauli rice or a whole pack of asparagus so maybe I should start being a bit more mindful...

Mookbark · 05/06/2016 12:56

I'm glad my champagne escapade has amused people. Is this now where I confess that we have 7 bottles of champagne in the wine rack as this isn't the first time I have done this? ShockBlushI made the decision to do it this way after having a delivery of a single packet of cherry tomatoes once and paying £6.99 for the privilege. Two bottles of champagne gets me into the free delivery zone, so that makes it alright.Grin
Have got a shop coming tomorrow evening, with food in it, and nipped to the shop for food to last us until then. So, food today is:
B - halloumi and olives, 2 creamy coffees
L - chicken in Mayo with salad
D - roast pork, with yummy cackling, leek/celeriac mash, broccoli and baby sweetcorn (which I'd forgotten was ok carb wise until I saw someone else had it earlier this week.) Pudding of strawberries and clotted cream.
Good luck with weighing tomorrow. I am hoping to STS as I had a bad day Wednesday and it is TOTM.

PlayNice · 05/06/2016 13:32

Eep, everyone weighing makes me so tempted to, but I find I get way too obsessed with it and get really sad if I haven't lost as much as other people. I bought myself a new dress, though (andwrappeditup) to celebrate finishing another week, so I will have that tomorrow.

Today I had eggs for breakfast, soy and peanut tofu with cauli tabboleh for lunch, and may have steak for dinner.

Sadly, my tofu went really nice and crispy when I baked it, but then softened up a tad when I put the marinade on (then fried it). Anyone have any tips for this? Maybe a second bake would have been better to dry it out again.

MothershipG · 05/06/2016 13:35

Just off to Patisserie Valerie to meet friends, wonder if they have anything low carb? GrinGrinGrin

Fortified my self with brunch of l/c pancakes, bacon and eggs. So I reckon I'll be good with plenty of Earl Grey, black of course. Smile

MothershipG · 05/06/2016 13:37

Play Your dinner looks delicious, can you link to a recipe for the peanut tofu please!

PlayNice · 05/06/2016 13:46

It was really nice, and I only used the cheap silken tofu from the ambient section of the supermarket. Would probably be nice with chicken or beef too.

minimalistbaker.com/crispy-peanut-tofu-cauliflower-rice-stir-fry/

I used this recipe, but I put deseeded cucumber and tomato, coriander, parsley, mint, lime and radishes through my cauli rice, and cut out the honey.

Like I said, I didn't have quite as nice a result as she did, but perhaps that was the lack of honey or the cheap tofu. I also fried it with the beansprouts so perhaps my pan was too crowded. Either way, I'm going to try baking twice tomorrow with the other half. Good luck if you try it!

saffynool · 05/06/2016 13:46

Just had the most delicious lunch of bacon, avocado and a poached egg with a ton of baby spinach leaves - made sure I dressed it with the bacon fat!

Dp had the same and has suggested he makes carbonara with courgetti tonight. So maybe a slight bacon overdose but... it is Sunday Grin

CathemeralChild · 05/06/2016 14:08

I don't do anything with tofu, except dice it. I eat it straight as it comes.
I realise I'm weird. Grin
I like gin with sparkling mineral water, although it has to be decent stuff. You'll drink less anyway because if you've forked out a bloody fortune on Gin Mare, or Star of Bombay you're going to eke it out for as long as possible.
Right, I'm stuffed full of fat (mmm, mushrooms soaked in sesame oil) and am off to enjoy the sun and the bric-a-brac. No pizza!

Flisspaps · 05/06/2016 14:11

We went to a food fair this morning and somehow avoided trying the free booze and bread samples.

Had some lovely olives/tapas stuff and ended up spending £13 bloody quid on a tapas assortment - the stall rather cleverly didn't have the price up and their stuff was bloody delicious which was a recipe for disaster Grin

regularbutpanickingabit · 05/06/2016 14:59

Found this pic of my lunch out last week. Avocado, prosciutto, mozzarella and green salad. Absolutely delicious!

Finally had the tandoori lamb chops I was supposed to have yesterday, with a lovely raw courgette salad.

MothershipG · 05/06/2016 17:03

I have safely emerged from Pat Val having had an iced coffee with cream, no milk no sugar. The staff were very helpful!

Now I'm looking at your delicious food pics and it's making me hungry! Smile

PlayNice · 05/06/2016 17:32

It's so warm today! I made up a batch of mini FF yogurt ice lollies with vanilla seeds stirrer in for snacks. I think I remember that they worked okay before, albeit a little bit ice-y.

I also made up some fresh mint tea which I'm putting in the fridge to have as iced tea if this heat continues (which, now I've done all this, it doubtless will not):
