Morning all. Sorry for the later than usual thread, but I'm away at the moment/1

Anyway, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

As we've now completed the first two, more strict, weeks of Bootcamp you have a choice. You can move on to Bootcamp Light, (rules are on the spreadsheet tabs), which essentially means you can add in a few nuts/seeds, and some fruit (berries, and strictly in moderation), and you can have alcohol occasionally.

However, if you haven't really done Bootcamp strictly enough, or you cheated, or just because you think it's going well, you can stay on Bootcamp. (If you do, though, please make sure your carbs are mainly coming from vegetables and salad, to make sure that you're getting a good balance of nutrition)

Alternatively, you can do Bootcamp during the week but Bootcamp Light at the weekend. The choice is yours.

However, there is one thing I have to warn you about. Weeks 3 and 4 are notorious for little or no weight loss. If this happens to you, please don't panic! Just keep on keeping on and things will start to move again.

After initial big losses in the first couple of weeks, you can't feasibly expect to see that continue, and you should that weight loss settles down at around 1-3lbs a week, depending on how much you have to lose.

Good luck all! Flowers

Sorry to hear you've had bad news Wanheda Flowers

I just remembered when I lived in USA years ago I used to have a cobb salad regularly when I are out, they were delicious chopped salads with blue cheese dressing. I'm definitely making this this week:

WanHeda · 04/06/2016 21:11

I have lamb chops marinating in a tandoori yogurt mix and a courgette salad, I will make sure to eat them tomorrow. Thanks BIWI.

PippilottaViktualia · 04/06/2016 21:14

Ok thanks. I've added my weight now, lost 7lbs. Very pleased especially considering I was lost nothing last week Grin

Fingers crossed for a low carb sympathetic chef on the rig Confused

magicalrealistmum · 04/06/2016 21:30

Hallo
a few hiccups for me this week, but back with more careful planning and a meal plan for the week ahead.
Off to shops tomorrow to stock up. I have a work dinner for week after next, no pud , gluten free and veggie request will hopefully mean low carb.
Catching up with the thread and going to have one more BC week from tomorrow.
KOKO and good luck everyone

Veryflummoxed · 04/06/2016 21:46

Well done Pippilotta.
Sorry Wanheda
Thanks StuntNun for the encouraging post now and earlier.

I did do the forgetting breakfast thing today much to my surprise so I had lunch at twelve, but needed a snack around four then dinner at eight.
I was mindful dishing up my dinner (which is the meal I tend to over fill my plate on) and did weigh. I was surprised to find I was under ten carbs for the day, including the cream and mayo. I certainly ate plenty. I too will continue to weigh for a while till I'm used to how much the different veg weighs.

Any way today was

Lunch celery topped with tuna mayo and cucumber

Snack. Olives and a coffee with cream. And
Dinner was chicken thigh, bacon, cauliflower, buttered spinach and mini roast swede

Sorry not as exciting as some of the food posted on here.

Regularbutpanicking that looks so good

StrawberryLeaf · 04/06/2016 22:24

I love seeing everyone's photos of their food! I'll add one for the first time, this was my cod with pepper and aubergine stew.

Out of interest I added my food today and my carbs are 75g! That's loads. I think it's the pepper stew, it had a whole pepper and a handful of cherry tomatoes. Also half a little bottle of fentimans tonic water.

WanHeda I'm so sorry to hear about the bad news. I hope it's something that can get better...
You have done well under the circumstances though!

StrawberryLeaf that cod looks great! Could you briefly describe the recipe?

Gcalgske · 05/06/2016 00:40

Flowers wan

Today has been fine, brunch (I got a lie in! Except the dd waking me at 7am for a pee, then I got to go back to bed for a couple of hours pissing about on the Internet sleep.) was roll ups of pastrami with mustard and butter around mixed leaves with a huge portion of sauerkraut.

Dinner was salad leaves again (a shelf in my green house collapsed so they needed eating) with roasted aubergine, shallots and cherry toms served with roast pork belly strips. Made a dressing of smoked salt, olive oil and ACV. Put a bit of oil over the aubergine but also periodically dumped the fat that was rendering out the pork belly over the aubergine. Oh my word it was lush.

Was craving Chinese ribs so have some braising away in the slow cooker in a liquor of ham broth, sugar free 5 spice powder, cayenne, smoked paprika and smoked salt. Will roast them tomorrow with a little chilli powder / erithritol mix (I feel they need a tiny tang of sweet to fulfill the craving - it's only 1 tsp over the batch of 10 ribs which will be 3-4 servings depending on my hubby scoffing some)

I LOVE smokies wan bit of melted butter, spinach and a poached egg. Bliss.

Stillloving I roughly followed this recipe;

www.atkins.com/recipes/caponata/316

Although I added some red wine vinegar, basil instead of parsley and found it needed quite a bit longer than 15 mins to cook properly and break down the veg.

Cod was just roasted then a bit of grated lemon zest on top.

Pengweng · 05/06/2016 07:31

I've added my weight as off camping today so won't have access to scales. 1.5lbs off so happy eith that as I've been a bit shit this week. Not eaten enough fat or drunk enough water. Will try very hard to stick to bc while away. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. X

Titsalinabumsquash · 05/06/2016 07:34

I made Meatza yesterday, so quick and easy and it was really tasty, I almost fooled myself I was eating a take away, it's another must do more of recipe. Smile

Everyone's pictures look lovely.

We had an Indian a few days ago and I thought I'd picked low carb option but we both woke up the next day feeling like crap and DP is still suffering with carb flu type symptoms so I think I chose wrong. Confused

WanHeda · 05/06/2016 08:28

Loving all the food photos, great for inspiration and it all looks delicious!

ClopySow · 05/06/2016 08:55

I've made a total arse of it in the last few days and my weight has gone back up.
Not enough water at all, i think far too much dairy and totally banned foods on thursday and friday.

Back to stage 1.

It's just shown me how much i have to avoid certain things. I've got such a sore bloated belly today.

LaserShark · 05/06/2016 09:26

Have weighed and sts but I have a great big dressing on my foot so that probably weighs about half a stone, right Wink. Measured my waist anyway and three inches down overall so am pretty pleased with that. Especially when considering I've barely moved off the sofa since Tuesday.

WanHeda · 05/06/2016 09:36

cloppysow, just get back into it, remember this feeling of crapness after eating carbs and use it to keep on track. I compare it to drinking too much, you know you will suffer a terrible hangover so no point in doing it!

laser - well done on the inch loss! That's amazing. Hope the foot is healing well.

ClopySow · 05/06/2016 09:41

I will.

The weird thing is, my inch loss has continued to be consistent, despite the scales.

I've also (tmi alert) been constipated for days. I guess as a result of the dreaded carbs.

Having a sore belly today has reminded me how i felt this way all the time before, but haven't had a sore belly at all since i cut out carbs.

CathemeralChild · 05/06/2016 09:53

I'm having a quandary. I've been doing well this week but today is the big day at our three day village fete. Which means the bakers in the village, who make the best bread I've ever had anywhere in the world anyway, set up their outdoor woodfired pizza oven. They keep it simple and use fresh ingredients.
You can see where this is going right?
It's once a year! If I don't have at least a slice I won't get a pizza that good again until next June.

But I don't want that carby headache again. Or to scupper my weeks work.......

Gcalgske · 05/06/2016 09:56

Try a probiotic to get you moving again clopy Flowers I hate the bungs

Planning a picnic today so I've boiled some eggs. I'll take some LC veg and Marie Rose sauce as a dippy thing and take a rib or two. I'll make OH and DD standard picnic fayre but no doubt they'll want mine (despite me checking a lot what they want to eat Hmm)

ClopySow · 05/06/2016 09:57

To be honest, i wouldn't recommend it.

I had a couple of small pieces of bread on thursday and some battered things on friday. I feel shit for it today and feel like i'm back at square one.

But...you may respond differently.

backonthewagon · 05/06/2016 10:03

I started BC a bit early. Week 1 I lost 8lbs. But since then weeks 2-5 I have been bouncing around the same 2 lb weight loss. Why is this? I have 1 more stone to lose.

ClopySow · 05/06/2016 10:07

Do you mean losing 2lbs a week since or going up and down?

Mookbark · 05/06/2016 10:31

Morning all. I have a NSV (non scale victory). When I took the dog for a walk yesterday afternoon, I kept having to stop to pull my trousers up as they kept slipping down. Grin
Back if you post what you are eating, then BIWI and those more knowledgeable than I, will come along and critique it. Usually it's more fat and water that is needed.
Cathermeral only you can decide if it is worth it. Could you stop at one slice? If so, the damage probably wouldn't be too bad. Or would you end up having a carb fest?
My internet shop has just come - two bottles of champagne. Blush I use that to keep the slot open and do the proper shop the evening before. Only problem was, I forgot last night. So, lunch and dinner today will be champagne Grin as there isn't any food in. Seriously, I'm annoyed as I will now have to venture out to a real supermarket. At least to tide us over until tomorrow, when I'll do another interest shop, but with food this time!
