Morning all. Sorry for the later than usual thread, but I'm away at the moment/1

Anyway, here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

As we've now completed the first two, more strict, weeks of Bootcamp you have a choice. You can move on to Bootcamp Light, (rules are on the spreadsheet tabs), which essentially means you can add in a few nuts/seeds, and some fruit (berries, and strictly in moderation), and you can have alcohol occasionally.

However, if you haven't really done Bootcamp strictly enough, or you cheated, or just because you think it's going well, you can stay on Bootcamp. (If you do, though, please make sure your carbs are mainly coming from vegetables and salad, to make sure that you're getting a good balance of nutrition)

Alternatively, you can do Bootcamp during the week but Bootcamp Light at the weekend. The choice is yours.

However, there is one thing I have to warn you about. Weeks 3 and 4 are notorious for little or no weight loss. If this happens to you, please don't panic! Just keep on keeping on and things will start to move again.

After initial big losses in the first couple of weeks, you can't feasibly expect to see that continue, and you should that weight loss settles down at around 1-3lbs a week, depending on how much you have to lose.

Good luck all! Flowers

Many thanks, Wombatto!

And not sure baby weight is always a doodle to loose, 3perfect. Credit where credit's due, I say…

Wondering about experimenting with the famous BPC tomorrow… Sounds really odd (butter in coffee, FFS???), but increasingly converted to all this so may give it a go. Presumably should be instead of breakfast rather than in addition to….. Hmmmm

LaserShark · 01/06/2016 19:48

Had surgery yesterday and did enjoy a slice of cake and cup of sugary tea afterwards. Now having to sit around for a week or so and am sticking to low carb but just want to eat constantly! It's a combination of boredom and feeling like I deserve a treat. I also want cups of tea but can't drink it without milk. And keeping up with the water is tricky as getting to the bathroom is a really arduous effort! I'm not attempt to lose weight whilst recovering but I really want to avoid gaining too much - I know I could easily put the stone I just lost straight back on again in just a couple of weeks if I gave myself free rein!

Wintersea · 01/06/2016 19:56

Glad you are through your surgery ok laser
Congrats on that fab weight loss 3perfect
Today I had coffee/cream then not hungry until 3ish when I wanted something hot and comforting as its so cold and rainy outside, so I had mashed cauli and salty butter
Just now had dinner- grilled salmon basted in olive oil with green leaves/avocado and cucumber/mint/garlic in total ff yoghurt (delicious!)

princessconsuelabannahammock · 01/06/2016 20:02

I have done previous bootcamps but have had an "ahem" while off! Would anyone care to critique my meals today?

B- BPC, coffee with cream, 2 rashers of bacon
L- bacon, avocado, cheese salad with oil and vinegar dressing. 4 cherry toms and an inch of cucumber.
D- Fish pie with cauli mash made with cream and cream cheese. Green beans baked in oil.
S- 5 tsps of peanut butter, an apple with cheese cubes.

I know i should cut the snacks out and they werent very good choices but i cycled and did kettlebells today so i just needed it!

I drank about 3l of water and numerous black coffees.

ClopySow · 01/06/2016 20:06

B coffee with coconut oil

L leafy stuff with roast beef, celery and stilton and a dollop of mayo

D cabbage, leeks and celery with cream and pesto and 2 chicken thighs with skin on. Hugely delicious.

WanHeda · 01/06/2016 20:13

princess - apple is a HUGE no!

BIWI · 01/06/2016 20:19

princess what on earth do you think you're doing eating apples?! Definitely not allowed on Bootcamp, or Bootcamp Light!

And you don't need to eat extra because you've been exercising if you're fat adapted (which you will be after a couple or so weeks of Bootcamping), as your body will burn your fat reserves rather than need extra carbs. That's just an excuse you're using.

Someone was asking either earlier in the thread or on the questions thread about eating legumes/pulses. Sadly they're not allowed on Bootcamp or Bootcamp Light, but when you reach your target weight, as well as introducing carbier vegetables, you can experiment with re-introducing these.

They are carby, but better options than pasta/rice/bread/flour/sugar!

Get well soon Laser. I posted too soon. Have just had a snack of more corned beef hash. (A little bit too comforting).

stilllovingmysleep · 01/06/2016 20:25

Hi all. So sorry I disappeared! I'm away on holiday for a few days. Delighted to say I've followed BC rules to the letter!! This usually is hard on holidays but I managed it so far. Back to London on Friday night.

NotdeadyetBOING · 01/06/2016 20:26

Anyone got any bright ideas for what I can do with firm tofu? Normally marinate in soy sauce and then have with lots of sticky Japanese rice, but…...

stilllovingmysleep · 01/06/2016 20:36

Is tofu allowed at BC?

NotdeadyetBOING · 01/06/2016 20:40

Oh, blimey. Maybe not. Hadn't checked. Just assumed - high protein and no carb so fine….. Prepared to be put back in my box!

BIWI · 01/06/2016 20:49

It should be OK but just check the carb count on the pack. And make sure you don't cook it with a sweet sauce! and definitely no rice

Hope you have a speedy recovery laser

Well done still, that is amazing, i always use holidays as an excuse to have time off from LCHf and of course always regret it afterwards. I am staying with a relative for a few days but going to be strict as she accommodates my WOE so no excuses really

BIWI so how was Copenhagen ? I am off there next weekend

Equiem Flowers sorry to hear you are having a tough time

bettyblueeyes83 · 01/06/2016 21:13

Just checking in, another good day although quite hungry all afternoon, hence almonds even tho I'm mostly staying BC - it was another cold one here and I think it makes me want to eat (carbs).

B: soft boiled eggs with asparagus soliders, tea with whole milk
L: smoked mackerel pate (I pinched someone's recipe on here - it was yum - THANKS) with cucumber and radishes
D: Rosemary sirloin steak with avocado butter and wilted greens (again from Real Meal Revolution cook book - amazingly nice)
S: Americano with cream in the morning, almonds late afternoon, a few olives and a bit of shredded cheese as I prepared dinner

I'm still drinking tea with whole milk, one or two cups a day max, could be stalling my weight loss...

kittykaz · 01/06/2016 21:17

Hello! I have started this today after seeing some amazing results from a good friend (a now very slinky good friend!). If it is not too late to join, can you add me to the spreadsheet please?

SociallyAcceptableCookie · 01/06/2016 21:19

Dinner tonight was in Nando's. Did someone here suggest the roasted veg there? Because the chargrilled veg on the menu is 11.4 g of carbs and the fino coleslaw is only 5.3 g. I love chicken leg with the skin anyway so I really enjoyed the meal.

reader77 · 01/06/2016 21:21

B- creamy coffee
L- some almonds
D- fried halloumi, a steak and some cucumber

Hardly any water. Crap day and there is a giant toblerone looking at me.

Gcalgske · 01/06/2016 21:33

Glenthebattleostrich Flowers it's agony
regularbutpanickingabit Worcester sauce is tangy and full of umami, splash tamari soya sauce, red wine vinegar. You won't miss it. Or mushroom katsup.
NotdeadyetBOING use spring onions, shallots or leeks in place of onions.
Home made Carbonara sauce is fine but be careful with konjac noodles, stick to a small portion every now and again or have it over meat, broccoli or courgettie.
Tofu can be OK depends on brand, try to get the smoked which has a bit of flavour of its own and fry it till crisp or you can marinate the plain in soya sauce (get a wheat free tamari - kikoman is only 2.3g/100ml) I then dredge in egg white and sesame seeds and fry. Chilli, lime juice, sesame oil and tamari is a good dipping sauce. Serve with steamed bok choi.

An ok day. Would have been my dear dads birthday (he passed in August, I got some great support from the bootcampers then but I did fall off the wagon Sad)
I went out for brunch with my hubby and daughter (pictured) at a v posh cafe. Was bliss. The sausages were excellent 90% meat and gave hubby (v grudgingly) the black pudding but had a sneaky taste. Coffee with butter in the afternoon (meetings for maternity committee stuff) then chicken tikka with saag paneer for dinner. Bit of 85% choc now.

Week 3 - Pre-summer Low Carb Bootcamp - the choice is yours!
nekobus · 01/06/2016 21:34

Step away from the toblerone, reader!

Hats off to those of you still managing to do BC while having surgery, looking after children in hospital and spending time away from home FlowersFlowersFlowers

I've had a day out with the kids (5 & 3) and I'm exhausted!

B - creamy coffee, a few bites of halloumi which was way too salty
L - picnic of celery, cucumber, a few cherry toms with pb and cream cheese, avocado, dressing and a hb egg
D - butter chicken from that link with (sainsburys ready made) cauli rice - lovely! Even DH who is not a curry fan loved it and I'm looking forward to leftovers... It was a lot of sauce probably could have halved the tomatoes
S - 2 puffed babybels, a little chicken and bacon in cream

I am having a gin and slim as my 2 have been a handful and I feel I need a treat Wink

nekobus · 01/06/2016 21:38

Sorry about your dad, Gcal Flowers

glenthebattleostrich · 01/06/2016 22:38

Gcal Thanks

Checking in. A v good day.

B coyo with 10 blueberries and teaspoon of chia seeds. Chai tea with cream
L slice prosciutto and pork scratchings (more a late afternoon snack)
D cod with kale (ate less than half as no appetite.

I just haven't felt hungry today. Ate at 7 am, 3 pm and 7 pm. Drank 3 litres of water and walked 17000 steps (whilst farting a lot, sorry tmi).

SayrraT · 01/06/2016 23:38

Just checking in. I am around but very busy week with the house. We have a week off and we are sanding all the floors. It's a nightmare!

Xoticdreamz · 02/06/2016 00:54

Positive vibes to those coping with lots of stress at the moment .

I had a lovely night away last night , ate out and had a naked cheeseburger with bacon , rocket and parmazan salad , garlic mushrooms and creamed cabbage and bacon . It was amazing . Bought some baby bells to make sure I didn't eat any of the free crisps and chocolate .
This morning breakfast was a but dissapointing , it was lorne sausage , tatie scone and black pudding along with bacon and eggs so I couldn't have the first three .

Anyway very pleased with my new tattoos although it was pretty painful and long .

Had some pate for the first time in ages tonight , so lovely , I should have bought some before .
