Welcome everyone!

We have around 130 people signed up this time, so it's going to be a busy and fast-moving thread.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for you to enter your weight.

The lovely Sayrra manages the spreadsheet. Please don't mess with it! Just enter your weight and leave all the other columns/rows alone!

I'll start a questions thread to run along side this chat thread, so that you can post stuff there in the knowledge that your question will definitely be seen. (I can't promise to get to your questions immediately, but I will read and answer them)

And please, please, please - no matter how fast-moving the thread is, please read the whole thing and don't just post your own thing. You'll miss a lot of valuable stuff that way, and it also presumes that I (and other posters) are happy to keep repeating stuff.

But above all, very good luck everyone!

That's an interesting side effect whistle! I seem to have nothing weird happening with me, no strange periods, no super long nails, no LC flu. Maybe because I've been doing it for a while (although with a couple of carby days before LC began)

stilllovingmysleep · 18/05/2016 20:16

I mean before BC began

Xoticdreamz · 18/05/2016 20:23

Evening .
Good day today .
Two boiled eggs
Coconut chicken with spinach and mayo
Prawn curry and spinach
Snack some turkey and I have some olives for tv snack .
No creamy coffees today but looking forward to one tomorrow and have had lots of water .

Due my period soon I think so really hoping I don't get a sweet craving at that time .

raisedbyguineapigs · 18/05/2016 20:23

Thanks everyone who replied to my moan! I will do something but it won't be as big as we can't really afford another £100! I've got a week to get over it:-) I'll avoid the cake you're all right I'll still feel crap but will also feel doubly crap if I have a blow out. I may have a vodka and soda though!!

reader77 · 18/05/2016 20:31

I had a co-yo yogurt as a treat today

Billionnairewannabe · 18/05/2016 20:32

Day 3 - Well done to all those still here and keeping on ;) The thing I love about this WOE is the way it changes your shape. Can already see & feel it in the jeans which is very motivating! That means more than what the scales say.

Still streaming with cold so today didn't feel like eating
B - small ff yoghurt
L - small bowl tomato soup - 5g carbs prob too much but couldn't face anything
D - chicken curry with spring greens fried in butter

done about 2 l of water so far.

SayrraT · 18/05/2016 20:33

Coyo are delicious. I'm sure stuntnun posted a recipe to make your own on the recipe thread.

Quite a good day today

B coffee with double cream

L chicken and avocado salad with oil and mayo

D shepherd pie - lamb mince and shallots fried in butter with mashed celeriac, butter and grated cheese on top. Large portion of homemade cauliflower cheese on side

I have drank my water allocation too.

Also did a high intensity interval workout.

Tomorrow I'm having eggs for breakfast and a chicken salad again. I'm off out to catch up with an old friend tomorrow evening so reluctantly I may need to drink - debating whether to just say no and hold firm or if I should have one glass of wine. Thoughts???

Should be able to find something on the menu that works though. If I'm unsure I'll post a pic of the menu of the questions thread.

FinallyHere · 18/05/2016 21:19

Hi all. Glad to hear everyone's stories. Today's been good to me, not perfect but I'm feeling good on it.

Three sausages and one litre water at breakfast

Lunch provided (at conference) today entirely sandwiches, oh and crisps and tropic fruit salad. I looked over the whole spread and wondered what i could do (don't know these people very well). Looking up, I caught the eye of another lady I don't know very well, but had both mentioned low carb in passing. We skipped off to another location, for a bowl of salad (caesar no croutons and garden - lettuce, toms , cucumber) and hot dish no rice (mexican spiced mince). Not great but way better than sandwiches. Another litre of water throughout the day

Supper belly of pork slices, cauliflower and spring greens. The third litre of water now finished.

Suddenly this week, after nearly eight months eating all the carbs in sight and promising myself that i would get back on the waggon sooooon, just not yet, its all falling into place for me this week, starting bootcamp. Drinking water and skipping the carbs. It's as if a switch has gone off in my head again. I feel better in myself already, I think its too early for actual chemical changes in my body, maybe its just about being kind to myself and looking after myself. Thanks all, onwards and downwards. xx

Just lost a massive post - gaah

Anyway a summary is - all good today. Are we ok to eat coconut in first two weeks?

Statelychangers · 18/05/2016 21:31

Felt a bit grim today - woke up way too early.

B 2 eggs and lemon tea
L burger with bacon, onions, cherry toms, avocado, iceberg lettuce and homemade dressing
D Cottage pie with cauliflower & leek mash with a watercress salad
Snack one egg with mayo
Had a craving for the dark chocolate that's hiding in the cupboard...but I'm holding back

Whistle73 · 18/05/2016 21:32

Just wondered if anyone had dared to weigh yet? Is there a once a week rule?
I gave up sugar a month ago so to go low carb has only been a tiny step for me. I lost 6 or 7 pounds in that month so may not have lost any more yet so I'm not too worried about weighing every day.

BIWI · 18/05/2016 21:35

RaisinGirls

Firstly, where is your breakfast? First rule of Bootcamp is that we eat three meals a day for the first two week!

And second, the other important rule is 'no alcohol'!

Whistle you can weigh as often as you like!

Marking my spot essentially, following the thread. I'm new to low carbing but love it so far.

StuntNun · 18/05/2016 21:41

Sorry guys I'm having trouble keeping up with the thread as work is busy at the mo. Monkey I'm not convinced that you need to cut calories. I got to below 9 stone eating around 1800 calories per day of which at least 75% was from fat. There's a metabolic advantage to this way of eating which means you can actually eat more calories than you need and still lose weight. So my 1800 calories was equivalent to someone on a low fat diet eating 1500 calories.

RaisinGirls · 18/05/2016 21:46

Does coffee with cream not count as breakfast?!?! I thought with all that fat it would!

BIWI · 18/05/2016 21:54

Not really. Should be proper food I'm afraid! Certainly for the first two weeks.

OP posts:
SingToMeInFrench · 18/05/2016 22:02

B: two boiled eggs, spinach and chicken breast with skin on
L: pork, loads of LC veggies, cheese
D: chicken leg and thigh, skin on. More veggies.

3 L of water.

Feeling less bloated Smile

Keep going everyone!

nekobus · 18/05/2016 22:09

Finally caught up with the thread! Boy it's moving fast Grin not sure I'll be able to follow it all as busy with work and my DC 3 and 5 keeping me on my toes the rest of the time...

I've manage to stick with it for 3 days, feels good and have resisted my usual 85% choc in the evening and threw the kids leftovers in the bin!

Wombat I too had a fail with some spices - bough schwarz Chinese 5 spice, didn't look at the label as I expected it to be made of 5 spices. Nope. First ingredient: sugar! Have been googling to find one without sugar in, but annoyed about the few times I've liberally used it on my pork belly or crackling (50g carbs p/100 eek!)

Whistle I had a sneaky weigh in tonight and have lost 3 pounds but I've been LC on and off for a while, definitely off for the last couple of weeks so I expected to lose some as soon as I got back on it.

OneMoreForExtra · 18/05/2016 22:19

Well I'm a self-sabotaging carby test, but hopefully that's all out of my system now. I did notice my face/skin is brighter and my energy and focus is improving (before I fell into a bag of haribo) so it's all to play for. Well done everyone with better stickability than me!

OneMoreForExtra · 18/05/2016 22:20

Test = twat, obv to all except autocorrect...

glenthebattleostrich · 18/05/2016 22:40

Evening all,

Really good day today! The carb flu seems to have faded so I managed a short run (walk a mile up a very steep hill then run for 2 miles) despite only 4.5 hours sleep thanks to the monster child. And I cleaned the house on my day off.

Had horrendous sugar cravings yesterday and just wanted to eat. Ended up having prawns, 2 bags of pork scratchings and some cheese on top of the food I posted. But I didn't give into the sugar demon squarking in my ear Grin.

Today:

B coyo and tea with cream
L serano, salad, couple cherry toms, pork scratchings
T bolognese

Could have drunk more water and had a couple more teas so will cut that ba k tomorrow.

Monkey, so good to read about your loss. I want to loose between 40 and 50 lb so very inspired by you (and everyone else of course).

Night and see you all on day 4

Florene · 18/05/2016 23:05

StrawberryLeaf I'm sure it will work fine without the nuts, it was a very smooth sauce even with them - maybe try it without adding any water and see how it feels first?

StrawberryLeaf · 18/05/2016 23:25

Thanks florene Smile
