I know! How can it have come to this so soon?!

SoF for you here

Hope you all have good results this morning, and here's to a good week.

Last two weeks of Bootcamp are going to have to be strict Bootcamp ones for me I think, after the last couple of weeks.

Good luck all

Thanks stunt, I'm logging everything (input myself) in to MFP to bypass the unreliable data. My macros are normally 5/20/75 so I've switched it up to 5/15/80 and cutting back on the dairy.

I have lots of health stuff going on (PCOS/IR, PTSD and the associated cortisol/adrenaline surges I think being the two most relevant) but I am feeling great on BC, lots of positive changes but sticky scales. I just need some movement along with the healing so trying to tweak.

Today:
Coffee with cream
Bone broth (beef) with shredded fatty beef (from making the broth) with buttered broccoli
Stewed sausages with leek, mushrooms and swede mash with lots of butter

Stunt thank you so much. Thanks for recognising that I have at least been relatively strict. I'm pretty sure I have significant water retention issues (my face and neck can look different throughout the week/month) and I have no idea why or what to do about it. I've been really honest on here about every drop that isn't keto that has passed my lips, so if I haven't said anything, I've been perfect.

Since 3 Jan my weight has fluctuated between 16'1" and 15'5". Lightest was 8 days ago, for one day, heaviest was only a few days ago. I am usually 15'10", 15'8" or 15'12" - it will remain the same for two days, then it will change for 3 days, then change again for 2 days and so on. All over the place, regardless of what I'm eating, drinking, exercising, stress levels etc.

So it just doesn't feel like I'm really losing much at all. Or if I am, if I will ever actually notice it.

I'll look into Ubercamp. Thanks again for your kind post.

PS In terms of the questions: I've had an ultrasound recently, and no PCOS. I have had a blood test in Dec and no thyroid issues, insulin resistance and am not coeliac. I have, however, had leaky gut and IBS for years now (and have been dabbling with Paleo since my dietician put me onto it in 2011). I have also been very active in the past (i.e. ran several marathons, playing netball, personal trainers, Bikram, BMF, hiking long distances, cycling to work etc) but never really slim since I was about 23 - always chubby. And have gained about 4 stone in the last 4 years since an injury stopped my active lifestyle. I'm also usually very tired, ever since a child (we laugh about my childhood excess desire for sleep, but it's a real liability as an adult). No idea if any of this has an impact, but there you go. No need to respond - you've written loads already. Maybe my body needs to heal before it will let it go (and I think a lot of it is water).

Nigella we all fall off the wagon. Just climb back on again. It gets easier over time. You are creating new habits in how you eat that will make it easy to eat low carb without even thinking about it.

Gcalgske 15% is as low as you should go for protein without losing muscle mass. If you're enjoying the food and you're feeling good then KOKO.

ShouldI it sounds like weight isn't a good motivator for you. How do you feel since going low carb? Do you feel healthy? Do you have more energy? Have your IBS symptoms improved? There is much more to this WOE than weight loss alone. Have a look at the Mark's Daily Apple website. Mark Sisson has a very holistic approach to his primal diet that might suit you. He encourages you to exercise in a certain way, get sunlight daily, ensure you sleep well etc. to get the maximum benefits. Personally I think that if you keep following Bootcamp you will get the results you want. Some people have to be stricter than others and your response to this WOE can also change over time. I personally had to go ultra low carb to get to my goal weight this time round. Otherwise I just spent all day snacking, low carb snacks yes, but when I went into ketosis then I didn't need to snack any more.

Shouldl I eat paleo and have lost 2 stone last year. I don't eat dairy or lots of cheese and fat. Dairy is not part of the paleo diet. Maybe you could go back to eating paleo (which is lowish carb) but which allows for more fruits, veg and small amounts of maple and honey. I can see myself doing this for life.
