I know! How can it have come to this so soon?!

SoF for you here

Hope you all have good results this morning, and here's to a good week.

Last two weeks of Bootcamp are going to have to be strict Bootcamp ones for me I think, after the last couple of weeks.

Good luck all

nigella yes that should work as is essentially what I did a few weeks ago when I pot roasted a shoulder, then took the fat off and crackled it while the meat rested so the only difference is my fat was hot and a bit wet when it went in and yours will be from cold. It hardly took anytime at all in a really hot oven, worth a shot. Make sure it is scored, dampen a little and rub with some salt.

Gcalgske · 16/03/2016 14:46

Nigella if it's just fat it won't make crackling, crackling is the fat and skin. You can twice cook (or thrice even) cook cracklings well.

NigellasGuest · 16/03/2016 16:25

It has skin on still I think-
I will give it a go!

nekobus · 16/03/2016 16:30

Thanks for the chia tips nigella and wand! I'll try out the pudding in a ramekin tonight Smile

WhatDat · 16/03/2016 17:14

B: Salmon, boiled egg and cream cheese
L: Roast chicken thighs with skin
D: Belly pork and cabbage

Gcalgske · 16/03/2016 18:06

Today
Creamy coffee
Small piece pork belly and some crackling
Chilli with avocado and cream cheese

NigellasGuest · 16/03/2016 19:12

my crackling is hard as granite! how do I split it up into little bits like scratchings? A hacksaw?

NigellasGuest · 16/03/2016 20:34

well obviously I'm an idiot - I just snapped it with my fingers, having faffed around unsuccessfully with a massive knife Blush

Gcalgske · 16/03/2016 20:43

I normally punch it (oven gloves still on) very therapeutic

Gcalgske · 17/03/2016 10:35

Plan for today.
Creamy coffee (in hand)
Green smoothie, small piece pork belly.
Left over chill

NigellasGuest · 17/03/2016 10:51

what's in your green smoothie, Gcal?

nekobus how was the chia pud?

I was in Waitrose last night and they had two LARGE ramekins on sale for £3 the pair. I was that close to putting them in the trolley, because my thinking was, ooh I can make bigger puddings. Luckily sense won out and I didn't buy them. That kind of thing is exactly how I end up on a slippery slope to over-eating again. Smaller ramekins make quite sufficient sized puddings for me, so why sabotage that? It was a good deal for Waitrose though!

Gcalgske · 17/03/2016 10:57

Any recommendations for a brand of MCT oil? I'm wanting to try it again... Loss has been slow, (as always) so I'm going to do some tracking and I'm always low on fat. Don't like fat bombs (plus I'm never really hungry enough to snack) so I think I'll add a BPC back in.

ChesterDrawers · 17/03/2016 12:42

Had a sugar wobble on Tuesday but still KOKO. Feel like I have too much stuff going on in my life at the minute to completely focus on BC. I know it's an excuse and I need to stop the self sabotage but still...

I have made the nicest broccoli soup ever. Initially it went a bit wrong and had nasty hard bits it it old broccoli from the bottom of the fridge so I sieved it and spent bloody ages pushing it around so I still got most of the good stuff. OMG, it's amazing - creamy cheesy, thick and so smooth.

So yesterday:
B: Few chunks of Danish blue cheese
L: Aforementioned soup
D: 4 Blush LC sausages, Swede mash with butter, roast broccoli, glass of red wine

Today:
B: eggs, butter, cheese, cream
L: more soup of loveliness
D: Salmon in parma ham, swede chips, aubergine, mozzarella and tomato stack (if it comes out as it should in my head)

Have got back into exercise this week after my month-long cold so went to gym on Tuesday and ran four miles yesterday. Gym tomorrow then hopefully something else over the weekend.

BeyondTellsEveryoneRealFacts · 17/03/2016 13:05

Mmm, gorgeous lunch
Minted pork chop (what weirdo thought to put mint on pork?! But it works!) with mushrooms, mange tout, babycorn and shallot, fried in garlic butter. Yum yum yum.

nekobus · 17/03/2016 13:32

Well done for stepping away from the ramekin bargain, Nigella! I have enough left over gu pots to last me a while Smile

Just tried my first chia pudding - thanks for recipe ideas. I made it last night then decanted some to take in packed lunch today. Flavours were good (cocoa, coconut, vanilla) but I'm not entirely convinced about texture... Was a bit too frogspawn-like but may grow on me!!

Gcalgske · 17/03/2016 13:36

Sounds yummy beyond :)
I have a lovely roasted pork belly with cauliflower tabbouleh recipe which has loads of mint in but I'd never thought to mint a chop. Might try that next time.

Gcalgske · 17/03/2016 13:46

Nigella it's
100g cucmber
Stick celery (around 60g)
Handful spinach (around 30g)
5g ginger
1/2 avocado (around 60g)
250ml almond milk
10g coconut oil
1 tsp ACV with the mother
Salt
Pinch cayenne to taste

It's really silky, like a cold avocado soup.

NigellasGuest · 17/03/2016 14:10

I will give it a go, Gcal
I guess I could warm it, and call it a soup!
I don't know any MCT brands but it has aroused my interest so could you kindly tell me what the benefits are?

nekobus I guess you have to already like rice puddingy type things (which I do) - agree about the frogspawn!! Just tell yourself it;s jelly.

lexloofah · 17/03/2016 17:22

might try that mint and pork combo beyond, thanks

16:8 day for me as had to have an early lunch due to an apt at which I had 2 cups of tea....

B - cuppa
L - 3 soft boiled eggs in a cup with butter, lc bun also with butter
D - just had cauli pepperoni pizza that I made a few weeks ago and stashed in the freezer, re-heated from frozen perfectly - a good option for those nights when you need something very quickly, had it with spinach with o oil and acv

saw dark choc made with stevia instead of sugar today, 18.7g per 100g, tastes OK, not as good as lindt 85%, will see how it affects me, think I now have a headache coming on

WhatDat · 17/03/2016 17:29

B: 2 hard boiled eggs and Babybel
L: Roast chicken thighs
D: Dry chicken tikka baked in oven with hm tsatziki and salad

and a few biscuits at work. Sorry, sorry sorry Blush

BIWI · 17/03/2016 20:34

No need to apologise to us! But you might need to apologise to yourself ...

WhatDat · 17/03/2016 20:34

I know. It was foolish

Gcalgske · 17/03/2016 21:37

I'm being very strict with not having too much protein and getting enough fat today so didn't have chilli, had a boned skin on chicken thigh with chorizo, butter, asparagus and a wee bit tomato passata sprinkled with mozzerella. Was yum.

StuntNun · 18/03/2016 06:59

Woohoo the scales dipped below 9 stone today! 8st 13lb 13.8oz to be precise! So I've reached my target weight. Last time I was this weight was August 2014 and I was just about to find out I was pregnant with DS4. He will be one on Wednesday and I have officially lost the baby weight. This WOE really works. Thanks BIWI, you're an inspiration and a great support.

nekobus · 18/03/2016 10:07

Well done stunt! Love to see the graph Smile

I did a sneaky mid week weigh in this morning and have had a mini whoosh - 3.8 pound off since Monday!! It's been an odd week, period arrived after a few days of being really grumpy and short with the kids and have had a few days where I've either had a late breakfast and not needed lunch or just not been hungry in the morning so think my total calories in has been reduced.

Just got to survive this weekend, we have family staying plus it's DD's 3rd birthday and we are entertaining at home with lots of buffet/party food and cake
