Morning all!

I see we have almost 90 brave souls signed up this time. Welcome everyone, and to the lurkers at the back.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

The list is alphabetised, and all you need to do is to add your weight next to your name. Don't do anything else or touch any of the other cells! If your name isn't on the list for any reason, add it to the bottom of everyone else's names, and the lovely Sayrra will re-alphabetise the list later.

If you don't want to put your actual weight, you can index it - i.e. your starting weight is 100, and every pound you lose is one. So if you started today at 160 lbs, and in the first week lost 7lbs, then next week you'd enter 93.

Also, don't feel that you have to weigh today - you might prefer to make another day of the week your weigh-in day. Up to you - but the spreadsheet is there as a resource to help you track how it's all going.

Re weighing, if you can, weigh first thing in the morning, naked, and before you eat or drink anything else. Don't weigh later on in the day, as all you're doing is weighing yourself plus whatever you've had to eat or drink. And use the same scales. Remember, it's not the actual weight that the scales tell you, more the weight that you've lost that counts.

Some people prefer to weigh every day - I'm one of them, as it helps to keep me focused - and some prefer to weigh once a week. It's up to you which you prefer. Bear in mind, though, that if you weigh every day you are very likely to see the scales fluctuate, which means that they may go up for no apparent reason. This is totally normal, as your weight can fluctuate on a daily basis (especially if your period is due). But psychologically it can be quite difficult - so if you don't think you'd be able to cope with this, then weekly weighing is for you.

I'm going to start a questions thread now as well. In the first few weeks of Bootcamp the chat thread can move very quickly, and it's easy for posts to get missed - so if you have a particular burning question, it's probably best to post it on the dedicated thread. And if we can all keep an eye on the questions thread, rather than just me, we can get everything answered quickly!

Hi everyone, having started last BC & lost a stone, I slipped a bit over Xmas but am now back on the LC wagon And feel so much better for it. Will weigh and add myself to spreadsheet later.

So far for bfast have had my version of a bullet proof coffee which consists of coffee, bit of butter and cream. Actually very nice and extremely satiating.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 19/01/2016 09:21

Well I have to say I'm jolly impressed with how the fritters turned out.

If anyone's interested, I used my julienne grater to grate half a small swede (they're tiny here, about the size of an apple), half a courgette, and some cheddar, then mixed this lot together with 2 eggs and onion salt. Added in the smoked salmon, chopped into small pieces, and then fried them in hot olive oil, turning them once. Took about 6 mins to fry, I think (maybe longer, just did it by eye) - and they're jolly nice! :)

BeyondBootcampsAgain · 19/01/2016 09:45

They sounds really good, thumb!

BIWI · 19/01/2016 10:05

Yum! Can you put that on the recipe thread, please?

Yep, no worries. :)

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 19/01/2016 10:31

I knew the miller light was bad, just found one in the back of the fridge.

Doesn't natural yoghurt just taste a bit grim? Is there anything you can add to it like protein powder or powdered peanut butter which is ok?

My bolognase was onion, mince, tomatoes and herbs. Spaghetti was the Spiralizer courgette.

I'd missed the no fruit rule. Blush

NigellasGuest · 19/01/2016 10:39

Thumb that sounds great, I'm going to try it!How's the eye?

Here's a link to an article about BPC. It doesn't seem that calorific to me?? But maybe more than one a day is a bad idea because of the caffeine?

www.independent.co.uk/life-style/food-and-drink/features/bulletproof-coffee-is-adding-butter-to-your-coffee-a-good-way-to-start-the-day-9717766.html

it sounds a bit of a mission to get hold of the special coffee beans, the special butter and the special oil - is there an easier version or does that defeat the purpose? I heard you could use coconut oil somewhere.

Could someone please add my weight of 193lbs to the spreadsheet? On an iPad and even with a Ss app I can't add it in. Thanks.

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 19/01/2016 10:48

Thanks wand will go yoghurt shopping.

VagueIdeas · 19/01/2016 11:00

I read up on BPC, Nigella, and really don't think you need special coffee and special coconut oil. Yesterday I tried it with instant coffee. It was fine!

ChesterDrawers · 19/01/2016 11:17

I use instant coffee too and Aldi unsalted butter in my BPCs along with my coconut oil and I bloody love it. I really don't think there any need for special coffee or oil.

I don't have one every day but do if I'm feeling peckish between meals or have an early tea and want to avoid eating in the evening (use decaff then though).

BIWI · 19/01/2016 11:23

It's not just the fruit though, WhoThefuckIsSimon - you need to look at the veg carb counter as well, plus accept that you should be eating high fat.

BIWI · 19/01/2016 11:24

Oh, and I add vanilla extract to my yoghurt. It's lovely!

ami9 · 19/01/2016 11:33

Oooops I completely missed the veg because having buttery food filled me up. I will add veg straight away (from the low carb rules list) Thank You x

lovelycuppateas · 19/01/2016 11:41

Have added you Simon Smile

DiscoDancer · 19/01/2016 11:51

With the BPC do you make it in a blender? Is it something I could make at work you think without a blender. Am feeling really hungry today and don't have any snacks with me. I order scrambled eggs from the cafe and tell them to make it with butter and mushrooms.

ChesterDrawers · 19/01/2016 11:57

You do really need to blend it Disco. It goes creamy and frothy like a latte when you do. Otherwise the oil/butter will just sit on the top and be quite unpleasant. I use a stick blender at home but in the past have done them in work with a mini milk frother type thing

milkmilklemonade12 · 19/01/2016 12:34

Could someone please add me in? I'm 185lbs and I can't seem to do it from my iPhone or iPad Blush

Just got up from night shift so not eaten yet, and actually; I'm not hungry. Tomorrow marks 2 weeks I'll have been doing this and I've dropped 10 lbs since. My friend over the road (we've been sort of 'doing it' together) has lost well over a stone!

Being then, as I'm not hungry... Do I have to eat? Doesn't this show that my body is living off its (apparently plentiful Wink) fat stores?

Oh and btw this is the Sainsbury's pesto I found. 1.9g carbs per 100g, really good layered on top of chicken breast, followed by mozzarella slices!! Fab quick dinner.

FelicityFunknickle · 19/01/2016 12:36

Obviously the spaghetti is a no no Grin
As is the Wine that normally accompanies it.

milkmilklemonade12 · 19/01/2016 12:38

felicity I know passata is better than tomatoes... I accidentally ate a curry with tinned toms in during the first few days and it didn't affect my weight loss, but everyone is different.

Equiem89 · 19/01/2016 12:46

Fage total full fat Greek yogurt is yummy.
I weighed myself today 10.10 :( I got down to 10.3 in November then went on a 2 week all inclusive holiday and then christmas and I've been a pig since. Ideally want to get under 10 stone but my ideal would be under 9.7

FelicityFunknickle · 19/01/2016 12:48

All inclusive is the work of the Devil.
Thanks milkmilklemonade
Btw just made one of those ridiculous lattes. One teaspoon each of coconut oil and butter. Mixed with stick blemder (take care, I burned myself with splashing coffee)
Delish.
