Morning all!

I see we have almost 90 brave souls signed up this time. Welcome everyone, and to the lurkers at the back.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

The list is alphabetised, and all you need to do is to add your weight next to your name. Don't do anything else or touch any of the other cells! If your name isn't on the list for any reason, add it to the bottom of everyone else's names, and the lovely Sayrra will re-alphabetise the list later.

If you don't want to put your actual weight, you can index it - i.e. your starting weight is 100, and every pound you lose is one. So if you started today at 160 lbs, and in the first week lost 7lbs, then next week you'd enter 93.

Also, don't feel that you have to weigh today - you might prefer to make another day of the week your weigh-in day. Up to you - but the spreadsheet is there as a resource to help you track how it's all going.

Re weighing, if you can, weigh first thing in the morning, naked, and before you eat or drink anything else. Don't weigh later on in the day, as all you're doing is weighing yourself plus whatever you've had to eat or drink. And use the same scales. Remember, it's not the actual weight that the scales tell you, more the weight that you've lost that counts.

Some people prefer to weigh every day - I'm one of them, as it helps to keep me focused - and some prefer to weigh once a week. It's up to you which you prefer. Bear in mind, though, that if you weigh every day you are very likely to see the scales fluctuate, which means that they may go up for no apparent reason. This is totally normal, as your weight can fluctuate on a daily basis (especially if your period is due). But psychologically it can be quite difficult - so if you don't think you'd be able to cope with this, then weekly weighing is for you.

I'm going to start a questions thread now as well. In the first few weeks of Bootcamp the chat thread can move very quickly, and it's easy for posts to get missed - so if you have a particular burning question, it's probably best to post it on the dedicated thread. And if we can all keep an eye on the questions thread, rather than just me, we can get everything answered quickly!

Having dinner at the in laws' today. I'm going to be refusing a lot!

Fruit juice
Wine
Soup
Roasted veg (bar courgette!)
Roast potatoes
Mint sauce
Gravy
Cake

I'll just have to make up for it with lots of roast lamb Grin

lavenderhoney · 24/01/2016 14:16

Turnip dauphanisse (sp) is very nice:)

Biwi I do have breakfast I just missed it off. I feel crappy still as well. Drinking lots of water, had a cup of tea as ds was driving me insane and I'm about to do some Pilates.p

B- low carb sausage and coffee with cream
L- left over lamb leg and some aubergine
D- pork belly with celeriac, cabbage

Dd said I looked slimmer and my tummy had gone down. Which is good although I think having had 2 cs I might struggle to get it back to its pre dc flatness.

BeyondBootcampsAgain · 24/01/2016 16:43

Cheese and mushroom omelette, just starting my fourth litre of water

BIWI · 24/01/2016 16:51

milkmilk in the context of a low carb diet, that's known as a carb re-feed - StuntNun will be able to tell you about that. However, I think it's something that you use to help you out of a stall, not

a) regular practice
and
b) certainly not in the first two weeks of Bootcamp!

Four litres of water? Impressive! I wish I was able to pee every half hour - my children just don't let me!

Patapouf · 24/01/2016 17:22

What's the verdict on itsu seaweed thins? They are 7.7g/100g but a packet is only 5g so 0.4g of carbs.

I'm not even 100% sure I like them, sushi seaweed tastes grim without the actual sushi bits.

When you have tune in oil, how much of the oil do you drain away? I could only stomach half of the oil mixed with mayo but the texture was horrid.

B: egg muffins and a bit of cheddar
L: tuna in oil with mayo, cucumber, lettuce and seaweed thins.
D: feeling too lazy too cook but I'm sure I'll end up with courgetti with king prawns and garlic and chilli with lots of butter if I summon some energy.

2l of water so far, 1.5lt to go!

VagueIdeas · 24/01/2016 17:36

I always drain all of the oil from tuna. I wouldn't enjoy oily tuna mayo, bleh!

You don't have to eat the oil if you don't like it! And if you're serving with mayo, then plenty of fat in the mayo.

Wow the thread has moved fast! I've been away for the weekend but have managed to keep LC-ing.

For 2 days my meals have been mainly meat and eggs with the only veg being mushrooms and green beans (and not very many of them). I've kept up with the water.

I think I need a quick shot of fat though - what's the best way? I don't have much in the house but I do have butter, coconut oil and delouis mayo!

B: salami and cheddar omlette with chopped celery. Bpc
L: small bite of cheese, one pork scratching (trying every bloody brand), coffee with cream
S: roast beef, tsp of horseradish, broccoli, celeriac dauphinoise, marmite gravy. Coffee with cream.
900mls water, 2 mugs herbal tea.

I have had to dodge crumpets, honey, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, real gravy, red wine and chocolate cake.
But tbh it really hasn't been difficult. I realise that out of that list the only things I really missed were the wine and chocolate. Besides, my previous woe has helped me gain 2 stone of blubber so I do feel quite determined.
Love this thread btw, thanks for all the support.

FelicityFunknickle · 24/01/2016 18:47

Oh the dauphinoise was effing lovely.

Any suggestions as to any other veg that I can spiraliz (sp) to make like pasta strands? I did courgette the other day. Worked really well. Don't fancy carrot. Anything else that works well?

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 24/01/2016 19:14

Greek yoghurt

Left over chicken tikka tandorri amd saag paneer

Massive beef steak and courgette and egg fritters

I may have a babybel shortly.

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 24/01/2016 19:18

feekerry

Check this out. Spiralizer veg

Patapouf · 24/01/2016 19:41

That's a good idea wand I bought a multipack of them and I'm not keen on a repeat of the tuna combo.

Phew Re: tuna oil! It was the last of the tuna in oil and I'll be sticking to the usual brine variety. I thought I was supposed to be eating the extra oil but it really was gross.

feekerry · 24/01/2016 19:41

Okay thanks WhoTheFuckIsSimon
Never thought of brocollie stem. That will be perfect!

Gcalgske · 24/01/2016 19:43

Creamy coffee, supplements
Bacon/tomato/shallot/cheese 2 egg omelette
Mashed swede with butter, chill, garlic and shallot, 2x chicken thighs with skin on, roast in olive oil.

A few BC lite things creeping in (but will not list as I know I started earlier than everyone else) today.

Patapouf · 24/01/2016 19:43

felicity the only edible pork scratchings are from m&s, I've tried them all! Sadly my local hasn't had any in for aaaages.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 24/01/2016 19:54

Slept all morning so food today has been:

B:Cup of tea, ff milk
L: Venison steak salad with a dressing involving mushed blackberries/redcurrants, oil, red wine vinegar, salt and pepper. Coffee with cream.
D: Roast lamb, roast baby turnips, cabbage, broccoli, meat juice gravy and soy flour Yorkies.

The soy flour is 16g per 100, and DH said he probably used less than 50g to make 12 Yorkshire puddings, and I had 2, so I reckon the amount of carbs were minimal...apart from the milk. Oh. I still don't think they would have been terrible, though - they were very small.

Gcalgske · 24/01/2016 19:54

stunt I did the microwaved swede today too. It's great!

LexLoofah · 24/01/2016 20:30

B - 'shrooms fried in buttery, scr eggs in butter
L - rinse and repeat from yesterday
D - pork chops (and the fat from 3 others), celeriac gratin (yum, used cream and water instead of milk), spring greens, roasted shallots and a roasted garlic clove

two packs of butter gone since Monday ... good job I have a stash in the fridge

BIWI · 24/01/2016 20:30

TooExtra berries? And flour? Neither are allowed on Bootcamp!
