Morning all!

I see we have almost 90 brave souls signed up this time. Welcome everyone, and to the lurkers at the back.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

The list is alphabetised, and all you need to do is to add your weight next to your name. Don't do anything else or touch any of the other cells! If your name isn't on the list for any reason, add it to the bottom of everyone else's names, and the lovely Sayrra will re-alphabetise the list later.

If you don't want to put your actual weight, you can index it - i.e. your starting weight is 100, and every pound you lose is one. So if you started today at 160 lbs, and in the first week lost 7lbs, then next week you'd enter 93.

Also, don't feel that you have to weigh today - you might prefer to make another day of the week your weigh-in day. Up to you - but the spreadsheet is there as a resource to help you track how it's all going.

Re weighing, if you can, weigh first thing in the morning, naked, and before you eat or drink anything else. Don't weigh later on in the day, as all you're doing is weighing yourself plus whatever you've had to eat or drink. And use the same scales. Remember, it's not the actual weight that the scales tell you, more the weight that you've lost that counts.

Some people prefer to weigh every day - I'm one of them, as it helps to keep me focused - and some prefer to weigh once a week. It's up to you which you prefer. Bear in mind, though, that if you weigh every day you are very likely to see the scales fluctuate, which means that they may go up for no apparent reason. This is totally normal, as your weight can fluctuate on a daily basis (especially if your period is due). But psychologically it can be quite difficult - so if you don't think you'd be able to cope with this, then weekly weighing is for you.

I'm going to start a questions thread now as well. In the first few weeks of Bootcamp the chat thread can move very quickly, and it's easy for posts to get missed - so if you have a particular burning question, it's probably best to post it on the dedicated thread. And if we can all keep an eye on the questions thread, rather than just me, we can get everything answered quickly!

Milkmilk there are bootcamp friendly pizza recipes. BIWI as a faux pizza recipe that I seem to remember is good. PLus there is cauliflower base pizza. Perhaps go have a hunt the recipe thread for them?

Patapouf · 22/01/2016 17:27

Don't do it milk you'll be so cross with yourself if you do and you'll be doing all your hard work this week. What alternatives could you make for dinner?

milkmilklemonade12 · 22/01/2016 17:27

I've been going since 5th Jan so I think the exciting newness of it all has worn off a little, and now I want TREATS!!

I had a pepperami at my desk and there is shepherds pie for tea. I have to pop to Waitrose on my way home for more veg though; that's my downfall tonight... Too much temptation!

Wombatinabathhat · 22/01/2016 17:32

Have a look for the pork crackling in Waitrose and it is lovely. So much nicer than M&S and the packets

StuntNun · 22/01/2016 17:52

Nigella if you're hungry in the evening then it could be that you aren't eating enough during the day. Try having a mid-afternoon snack.

Felicity I buy the Awfully Posh pork scratchings from Amazon. They only contain pork and salt unlike the Mr Porky ones which have dextrose, MSG etc. in.

Viking my DH makes me almond milk lattes from time to time. I like them. Hazelnut milk lattes are even nicer.

NaturalBlonde I've been LC for three years and I still get the whooshes (I'm losing weight for the second time after pregnancy). In fact I'm waiting for one now as my belly has gone all squishy.

Vague you could ask for a double cheeseburger without the bun. I got one once in Burger King - only problem was that it was difficult to eat as they didn't have any knives and forks!

MilkMilk try the Fathead Pizza. It's amazeballs.

Mookbark · 22/01/2016 18:00

Well, the unpleasant clerical task I had to do today is almost completed. I didn't drink as much water as usual though, so will have to drink more this evening.
I think craft activities go well with LC, can't remember who said they were doing something as I am on my phone, but I crochet and it really is difficult to eat and hook at the same time Grin
Stay strong this weekend everyone
Btw, babybel in the microwave. Shock my new favourite thing.

DiscoDancer · 22/01/2016 18:08

Really fancy something sweet- any ideas?!

antimatter · 22/01/2016 18:13

IME if you feel kike something sweet Disco that means you had too many carbs in the last 48 hours. Have lc fatty snack to curb it!

Mookbark · 22/01/2016 18:17

My DH brought home a christmas hamper which had been left in one of their other offices for him since before Christmas! So, DC have been tucking in to naice biscuits, toffee, fudge and chocolate! I had a sugar craving, but had a microwaved babybel and it did the job. I find that an almond milk spicy chai latte feels like a sweet treat, too, so I often have one of those to curb the carb cravings.

FelicityFunknickle · 22/01/2016 18:25

milkmilk I'm struggling today too.
This rotten cold and a ton of work stress makes it feel impossible to avoid friday night wine. Sad i also feel really fat and like there is no point in trying.
But I am going to push through. I know this woe will work and the results will happen. I think I will feel much better and able to carry on tomorrow.
I would love a run tbh but I have phase two of the decadant chocolate cake to complete tonight.
I too have been having sweet cravings. I wonder if it is related to the nurofen I have been taking. i never normally take stuff for a headache but once each day since Wednesday I have had to knock this headache off so I can keep working. I expect they are sugar coated. I hope I haven't scuppered my weight loss chances.
Sorry for the whiney monologue.

FelicityFunknickle · 22/01/2016 18:35

Today's food

Breakfast: BPC and two cold sausages (posh ones so I think LC)
Lunch: turkey and rocket with pesto and olive oil dressing
Snack: cheese string
Supper: 3 egg omlette with cheese and avocado. Total ff yogurt.

I like the salted caramel green tea, and the almond milk chai latte and cinammon tea.
Really need to get through the tricky bit.

mustbemad71 · 22/01/2016 18:36

Keep going milk and felicity! I've had a shitty day too and could murder a glass of wine but I'm sticking with posh fizzy water and lemon slices instead. We can do it! Smile

FelicityFunknickle · 22/01/2016 18:38

Yes we can mustbemad
Hang on in there.
I migt have a treat of shower and some telly.

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 22/01/2016 18:39

Ive still got ketones in my wee!

Today's food;

B. Greek yoghurt
L. Ham salad
D. Courgette fritters and pork.

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 22/01/2016 18:42

Is cauliflower rice nice? Ok? A bit odd?

I'm not keen on cauliflower though I think it's partly the texture I don't like.

Equiem89 · 22/01/2016 18:47

A glass of wine would be good, but no where near as good as reaching my goal weight. I know that's cheesy but wine, a bar of chocolate etc really isn't worth it

readyforno2 · 22/01/2016 18:50

I love cauliflower rice who, it's so versatile and easy. One of my go to comfort foods is egg fried cauli rice.
Although in saying that, I love cauliflower so may not be the best person to comment.

B mushrooms, courgette and shallots fried in butter with double cream
L salad with loads of mayo and 2 boiled eggs
D chicken, shallots, green pepper, courgette and bacon fried in garlic butter with more cream. Mashed turnip on top.

Maybe a ff yog later if I fancy a snack.
3l water and 1 coffee with cream

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 22/01/2016 19:05

Egg fried rice sounds nice, will give it a go.

BippityBoppity · 22/01/2016 19:12

Can I sneak in now please? I actually started on Monday but today was the first day that I had access to scales. I have previously lc'd under another name a few years ago and was very successful, but a load of shit in RL has gone on so now I'm right back where I started, plus a bit more.

Today I've had
B - two boiled eggs, spinach and a babybel
L - Spinach, chicken and egg mayo with bacon mixed in
D - lamb doner from the recipe thread, with spinach (again!), cucumber and a tiny amount of tomato and a garlic mayo

I've had about 1L of water so far, but need to drink quite a bit more. It's something that I struggle with - due to the nature of my job, I sometimes can't actually go to the loo for 6+ hours so I can't drink lots in the day until I've retrained my bladder to hold a bit more Blush

Could some kind soul please add me to the spreadsheet - I'm 226 lbs Blush Blush

DartmoorDoughnut · 22/01/2016 19:16

BIWI I'm sorry I did some baking with my toddler this afternoon to make my DH some fairy cakes to celebrate his graduation tomorrow - did a PGCE, almost killed him through stress, thankfully decided against teaching as a second career! - in any case I've eaten 7 Blush I feel stupid as Sad

DartmoorDoughnut · 22/01/2016 19:17

I swear I'm back on BC strict as a strict thing tomorrow ... unless I'm not allowed?!

feekerry · 22/01/2016 19:31

I am (was!) the biggest wino going and it has been hard (doing dry Jan so been dry since the 1st) but for once in my life I am determined to stick to this. End of boot camp strict will tie in nicely with end of dry Jan and I will enjoy a couple of glasses knowing that I have actually earned it.
It is hard sometimes but the difference in my stomach shape is amazing (split muscles since 2 cs plus hernia and trapped fat). And I am on pred steroids and still losing weight! That makes me stick to it!!

Mookbark · 22/01/2016 19:43

Friday nights are hard, aren't they?
I ordered some star Kay vanilla and orange extract from Lakeland and they arrived today. I am looking forward to trying them (separately) in Greek yoghurt. Might try a little bowl of each tonight as my treat.

antimatter · 22/01/2016 19:51

Dartmoor unless something changed last time I was on the bootcamp I think we asked everyone not going into the details of where they slipped. It happens sometimes. I remember the vomments then were based on "lets not write about temptations" just be kind to each other.

DiscoDancer · 22/01/2016 19:59

antimatter I think my craving is more to so with the fact my brain knows it's Friday night SmileHad a babybel and having omelette with mushrooms. Had lovely chicken salad at lunch. Trying to be really really good.....
