Morning all!

I see we have almost 90 brave souls signed up this time. Welcome everyone, and to the lurkers at the back.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

The list is alphabetised, and all you need to do is to add your weight next to your name. Don't do anything else or touch any of the other cells! If your name isn't on the list for any reason, add it to the bottom of everyone else's names, and the lovely Sayrra will re-alphabetise the list later.

If you don't want to put your actual weight, you can index it - i.e. your starting weight is 100, and every pound you lose is one. So if you started today at 160 lbs, and in the first week lost 7lbs, then next week you'd enter 93.

Also, don't feel that you have to weigh today - you might prefer to make another day of the week your weigh-in day. Up to you - but the spreadsheet is there as a resource to help you track how it's all going.

Re weighing, if you can, weigh first thing in the morning, naked, and before you eat or drink anything else. Don't weigh later on in the day, as all you're doing is weighing yourself plus whatever you've had to eat or drink. And use the same scales. Remember, it's not the actual weight that the scales tell you, more the weight that you've lost that counts.

Some people prefer to weigh every day - I'm one of them, as it helps to keep me focused - and some prefer to weigh once a week. It's up to you which you prefer. Bear in mind, though, that if you weigh every day you are very likely to see the scales fluctuate, which means that they may go up for no apparent reason. This is totally normal, as your weight can fluctuate on a daily basis (especially if your period is due). But psychologically it can be quite difficult - so if you don't think you'd be able to cope with this, then weekly weighing is for you.

I'm going to start a questions thread now as well. In the first few weeks of Bootcamp the chat thread can move very quickly, and it's easy for posts to get missed - so if you have a particular burning question, it's probably best to post it on the dedicated thread. And if we can all keep an eye on the questions thread, rather than just me, we can get everything answered quickly!

Not hungry after my emu leg lunch, so have had a decaf bpc for my tea just to keep me on three 'meals'

I would normally be on wine night tonight, but feeling under the weather so at least i dont have to worry about refusing the wine!

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 21/01/2016 20:04

Ive seen an allowed list of veg and carrots was on it!!

I did see it was 6g of carbs and the list said concentrate on veg 3G and under so I only had a small amount. Are they totally banned then?

RomiiRoo · 21/01/2016 20:26

Evening all,

I am in bed alreadyBlush. But done better on the water today, easily over 2L, possibly 3. No exercise though, which needs to change.

Food wise, I reacquainted myself with my spiraliser to have courgetti for lunch - being back on the thread is helping me remember the things I used to do; and the company makes me motivated tooGrin - for getting back on track with the weight, that is, not much else, I am very tired but this is not BC related.

I don't have a microwave. I remember my oven broke one BC and it was pretty much salads all the way. I can't check back whose cooker broke as on phone, but hope it is fixed soon!

Hello patapouf, good to see you!

LexLoofah · 21/01/2016 20:27

FelicityFunknickle · 21/01/2016 20:38

I know BIWI
I was going to have cold leftover sausage for breakfast tomorrow Blush
Turkey and rocket for lunch and roast chicken and broccoli for supper.
Any better? I didnt want to let the sausages go to waste. Maybe I should take a hard boiled egg to work instead.
I might try to find some of tjose pork scratchings VagueIdeas. I do like crackling, and some scratchings are nice for a treatbut I can't bear the Mr Porky ones. They really smell too.

BIWI · 21/01/2016 20:40

Make your own scratchings - just buy a decent sized piece of pork and roast it, then save the crackling for yourself!

Do you mean just today BIWI? Or do you think my meals generally have too much processed food?

VagueIdeas · 21/01/2016 20:50

I've never successfully made crackling save for a few bits around the edges of the skin. But I do have an oven that never reaches the temperatures it says it does.

AuntieMaggie · 21/01/2016 21:07

Gcalgske I low carb for pcos and insulin resistance too Smile Well I did until I got pregnant and couldn't eat meat or veg without being sick... baby is now 18 months and I've attempted to get back on track a few times but struggled.

readyforno2 did you lose that weight LCing?

Didn't eat til 3pm today (bloody toddlers!) and then had scrambled eggs and leftover chicken. Dinner was gammon, mushrooms, green beans and tomatoes. Struggling to drink.enough on "mum" days (not at work) cos ds always wants my drink!

I've had chocolate tonight! Blush And, tbh, I don't feel guilty. I started BC Two weeks early, so feel I can have a bit. I'll pretty much stick to BC the rest of the time.
I have a monthly wax and pedicure session and whilst I sit with my feet in warm bootees, the woman who does me gives me a lovely (black) coffee and a little chunk of dark chocolate. It feels like my only truly "me" time and I look forward to it. Can't wait for next month. Grin
Everyone seems to be doing so well and it's great to read all the meals. I forgot I had pork chops in, so we had pork rarebit tonight with roasted veg. Very yummy. I'm full now, so that should be it for the day. My appetite is definitely reducing, I haven't felt the need to snack except for the chocolate at all today.

ICJump · 21/01/2016 21:42

Moorbank that sounds heavenly.

readyforno2 · 21/01/2016 21:44

Auntie
Kind of. I started a lc plan myself in the January then joined the May bootcamp. I was doing a huge amount of exercise (personal trainer twice a week and aerobics twice a week) and did not stray at all. I was really motivated as I was getting married.
When I first started on the 5th of January I weighed between 16st 6 -16st 7. I got married on the 15th November and weighed 9st 3lb

fohamy12 · 21/01/2016 21:51

Wow, well done Auntie that's really inspiring!Smile

fohamy12 · 21/01/2016 21:54

Sorry, sorry meant Readyforno2 although I am sure Auntie you are inspiring too! Grin

lavenderhoney · 21/01/2016 22:00

I think I've got carb flu or a cold. Which is it? Shock I can't remember the last time I was ill or had a cold.

Symptom - feel like crap, headache, sore throat, sneezing, very tired. Not hungry. See below.

B- coffee with cream x 2
Lunch - sardines in oil
Dinner - cauliflower rice with butter, cheese, 2 hard boiled eggs

2 litres water.

I know it doesn't sound like much to eat but i feel full quickly and I don't get hungry between meals.

CrownofStars · 21/01/2016 22:02

Woke up crazy late. Grabbed a chunk of Wensleydale and 1 1/2 hot dog sausages as I ran past the fridge. Blush
Lunch was big leafy salad with avocado and chopped up ham with a lemon and oil dressing.
Snack when I got home was another chunk of Wensleydale and two slices of beef.
Dinner was creamy chicken and mushroom soup. Home made with proper stock.

I've got a miserably headache but I think that's possibly down to not drinking enough today. Will try to do better tomorrow.

readyforno2 · 21/01/2016 22:09

Thanks fo, but to be honest, it's too easy to get complacent. I'm back up to 12 1/2. Really disappointed in myself.

ChesterDrawers · 21/01/2016 22:16

Lex roule chicken was amazing, can def recommend!

Gcalgske · 21/01/2016 22:21

auntiemaggie I did the same - low carb gave me my precious DD (3 now) but I had a traumatic birth (PPH, sepsis) with nerve damage in my back and ongoing PGP and ended up with PTSD so it's taken me forever to get my motivation back.

fohamy12 · 21/01/2016 22:22

Been there done that and got the tshirt in size 14, 16 18 20 and 22 Ready , I lost 4.5 stone last year (feb to July) and put 3.5 stone back on (August to December) . Did this with slimming world even though I know starchy carbs aren't my friend. So back here. However although you have put weight on, you are still 4 stone less than your starting weight in 2014 and that's phenomenal!

momofgirls · 21/01/2016 22:57

Week 1 day 4
B boiled egg & asparagus
L broccoli and cauliflower with cheese sauce double cream / cream cheese.
D salmon salad with mayo, watercress sauce.

Jerm123 · 21/01/2016 23:23

Just had a brilliant snack.
One baby bell, exploded in a mug to form a disk of bread-like cheese.
Cream cheese spread on top,
Smoked salmon with chives on top of that.

I think I woul serve this to guests, whether LC or not
