Sorry all - first day back at work and I had a horribly early start, so this is the first chance I've had to set this thread up. Blush

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Will be back later this afternoon to catch up!

What have you eaten already Dartmoor?

regenerationfez · 06/11/2015 16:33

Sorry Biwi I missed your message but your advice is always invaluable Flowers
B: Total Greek yoghurt 1 pot
L: I absent mindedly ate an entire pot of Smooth Brussels pâtéwith lettuce cups Blush. It's only 1.8 g carb for 100g so less than 3 for the 175g pot but I'mmassively full and I uncomfortable now!

D: Cod cooked in butter with shrimps and some random roasted veg from yesterday.

I have not had enough water again! but lots of cups of tea. I have soya milk at home which is low carb though!

DartmoorDoughnut · 06/11/2015 16:55

Pseudo thank you! I had scrambled eggs with some baked ham for breakfast and a baby's yogurt, for lunch I had squash soup and some more ham plus half an apple and have just had a snack of roast beef and some cherry tomatoes

DartmoorDoughnut · 06/11/2015 16:56

Oh and have just poured my 5th pint of water

PseudoBadger · 06/11/2015 17:16

What's a 'baby's yoghurt'? Also no apples allowed!
So what do you have in for tonight? I'm sure we can come up with something.
We are having chicken kebabs marinaded in a lovely oily marinade with plenty of salad, homemade coleslaw (just cabbage and a small carrot) and French dressing.

DartmoorDoughnut · 06/11/2015 17:37

Sorry! It's literally one of my DS's yogurt, a Little Yeo's raspberry one. I know no apples but my DS ate half and I couldn't resist! I'm thinking some sort of omelette tonight with bacon and leeks as shop will be done tomorrow so not got many options!

PseudoBadger · 06/11/2015 18:10

Ah, those yoghurts are far too carby as well. The only yoghurt ok for BC is full fat Greek - can you get hold of any?
If you put cream in the omelette mix and cook in plenty of butter that will be ok, can you serve with a salad?

EwanHoozami · 06/11/2015 19:23

Lidl do a superb 10% fat greek yog in a 1l tub much much cheaper than total.

me today:

B - fried eggs and ham
L - leftover salmon and celeriac salad
D - veg tagine, bit on the carby side as it has butternut in but I've been pretty good otherwise. And it smells amazing

Billionnairewannabe · 06/11/2015 19:34

Thank you BIWI and ThumbWitches! Optometrist just said I had "white circles around my pupils" which indicates "high cholesterol" so need to get it tested. No never been tested. I'll ask which type next week.

B- raspberries & ff yoghurt coffee with cream
L - mushroom soup
D mince with swede mash

On my last litre of water.

Gcalgske · 06/11/2015 19:38

Might have cracked my tea issue. With real milk is heavenly but too carby, with almond milk is ok but not what I'm looking for. Solution is a big slug of almond milk and a tsp of cream in a huge mug. Perfectly creamy/milky balance and still low carb.BrewGrin

DartmoorDoughnut · 06/11/2015 19:44

Don't like Greek yogurt but thanks for the thought! Only ate the yogurt as they need to be eaten by tomorrow lol. One omelette with extra butter and cream coming up!

Gcalgske · 06/11/2015 19:47

Dinner last night was aborted. I think I've another sinus infection brewing and feeling nauseous in the extreme. Nibbled some celeriac chips but couldn't face mince or asparagus.
Felt a bit better later and needed something fatty so made a quick chocolate / coffee mousse by melting 1/2 a small bar 85% choc (12.5g) in microwave. In a small bowl I mixed a tsp of littles Irish cream instant coffee granules with some hot water from the kettle to disolve. Then whisked both into 100g extra thick cream. Devine. I did feel better after eating something.

Today.

Coffee with cream. No lunch (nausea persists). Early dinner of yesterday's mince and celeriac chips. Might have some chicken wings later.

WhiffyBiffer · 06/11/2015 20:16

B: creamy coffee and buttery scrambled eggs done in the microwave with bit of spinach mixed in. Some coyo vanilla flavour

L: salad of lettuce, cold roast chicken, half avocado, bit of feta, spring onion, 1 sundried tomato (I know they're not LC but is one ok?) & real mayo. Some coyo for pud.

Snack: pork scratchings

D: 3 LC sausages, buttery garlic leeks & mushrooms, broccoli.

Read about Coyo on here. It tastes yum but am finding the vanilla one tastes quite sweet. Says no added sugar tho and label says low carbs....?

PseudoBadger · 06/11/2015 20:22

Sweeteners?

nekobus · 06/11/2015 21:00

Today:

B 2 hb eggs with delouis Mayo, coffee w cream
L cheese, veg soup (at a friends so not sure how carby the soup)
D cauli rice with leftover roast chicken, bacon, chorizo, veggies in cream
S smoked salmon and ff cream cheese

A few cups of tea with soya milk, almost 2L of water (getting there...) and a small white wine & soda

Have a good weekend everyone!

WhiffyBiffer · 06/11/2015 21:22

If in relation to the coyo pseudobadger no the label doesn't say sweeteners, just:
coconut milk (98%), vanilla bean paste (1%), tapioca starch, live vegan yogurt cultures.

Carbs per 100g 0.5g

It is yum and very rich! Just wondered where the sweet taste is coming from. Unless that thing has finally happened to me I've heard about and my tastebuds have changed?!

PseudoBadger · 06/11/2015 21:26

Must be!

Wombatinabathhat · 06/11/2015 22:10

Went out for a meal this evening. Tried to stay on track so I had fried hallumi. It was coated in flour Shock but it peeled off like batter with salad, followed by chicken and lamb skewers. I asked for the rice to be swapped for salad. I declined desserts despite my companions both having one, and half a glass of wine. I enjoyed it.
Have a good weekend everyone Smile
Oh, and someone asked me today if I'd lost weight and said my face looked slimmer Grin

ShebaQueen · 07/11/2015 09:12

Morning all, miserable day here but have already been for my speed walk, getting it in early as a busy day ahead.

Wombat, doesn't it feel great when you get a compliment like that!

Off to decide what to have for breakfast, have a good weekend everyone.

BIWI · 07/11/2015 12:44

Urgh it's a horrible day here - windy, cold and wet.

Off out this evening to a gig at the 02, with dinner beforehand at Jamie's. All organised and paid for by someone else. Have no idea what the food's going to be like, but looking forward to it.

Then have a really early start tomorrow as I'm off to Moscow for work. I'll be 3 hours ahead of you all, so I'll start next week's chat thread from there!

Past experience tells me that food choices are not going to be good - and I have no control over most of it Sad

Hi Dartmoor, those kiddos yoghurts are full of sugar. Hmm I know the impulse to 'use things up' I hate food waste too but they are really not good for you on this way of eating. I have found it really handy to discover that those little fromage frais yoghurts freeze really well, for use later in smoothies for the kids, or made into ice lollies.

DartmoorDoughnut · 07/11/2015 18:58

The ones I use have no added sugar or sweeteners Smile

DartmoorDoughnut · 07/11/2015 18:58

But loving him the freezer tip!

DartmoorDoughnut · 07/11/2015 18:59

The not him! Trying to do bedtime, sorry!

ApplySomePressure · 07/11/2015 20:36

B: creamy coffee
L: pork belly strip fried in butter with courgettes
D: pork shoulder with creamy leeks

3litres of water consumed Smile
