Sorry all - first day back at work and I had a horribly early start, so this is the first chance I've had to set this thread up. Blush

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Will be back later this afternoon to catch up!

Thanks Lex, am ok really just a walking disaster zone at the minute. Difficult to deal with emotions I'd usually bury with food. Still hanging in there and not much longer til bed Smile

BIWI · 02/11/2015 21:38

Sorry you're having a shit day Chester. Want to rant talk about it here? It might help?

OP posts:
ChesterDrawers · 02/11/2015 22:29

Thanks BIWI, but unless you know an electrician, mechanic, dog trainer and marriage guidance counsellor, I think I'm pretty much fucked. Oh yeah, and if you could erase the memory of everyone who saw me go arse over tit in the foyer at work today, that would be great!

Gcalgske · 02/11/2015 23:06

Hugs Chester, hope things start to look up for you.
Biwi hope your holiday was great.
Sorry I've been MIA a few days koko'ing but grieving is weird and messing with my head and I've been feeling shit. Anyhow I've not really caught up on the threads. Onwards:

Food today:
Coffee with cream
Lump of cucumber, ham hock, mug ham bone broth with butter and star anise salt
2x chicken thighs with skin in olive oil, aubergine slices layered up with tomato, mozzerella, pesto and more olive oil and roasted.
Small bar 85% choc

Hyggeligt · 02/11/2015 23:15

Hello
I have had a horrid couple of weeks and only weighed today....5lbs off since the start date which I am pleased with as I have been off track for the past couple of weeks. We had a family bereavement and with travelling, staying away from home + general feelings it has been really difficult to chose compliant foods.
Back home today and I am restarting Boot Camp in earnest, it will be good to focus on something else I think. Not looking forward to feeling a bit grumpy + headachy in a couple of days, but looking forward to feeling better in myself again Smile

Gcalgske · 02/11/2015 23:22

Hi hyggeligt, bereavement sucks. Sorry for your loss. I'm in the same boat. Hugs X

Hyggeligt · 02/11/2015 23:33

Thank you Gcalgske, just read your post above mine - sorry for your loss too Flowers it's a very unreal feeling.
I hope this week is good for you, I had been really enjoying this way of eating, especially (oddly) green smoothies, I'm looking forward to starting to feel a little more 'well in myself' again having had very little control over the food around me/available for the last 10+ days.
My fridge is stocked with avocadoes, spinach, almond milk, fish and vegetables (polishes halo!)

CalmYoBadSelf · 02/11/2015 23:44

Condolences to you both Gcalgske and Hyggeligt Flowers

I have been reasonable today although not enough water. I find I get acid reflux if I drink a lot so have to tread a fine line but today haven't got anywhere near the line, let alone trodden it!

B: Boiled ham, creamy scrambled eggs
L: Chicken mayo, halloumi (I know I need more veg but was rushing out)
T: IPD moussaka, green beans
Few pork scratchings

halfthesize · 02/11/2015 23:53

Thanks for new thread, BIWI Thanks

Gcalgske · 03/11/2015 00:03

Thanks calm, are you on any reflux meds? I'm on omeprazole and find that I can normally lower the dose (or stop all together) once I'm properly in ketosis after a few weeks on BC and that oddly (counterintuitive because it's an acid) adding apple cider vinegar to my water helps. X

ChesterDrawers · 03/11/2015 07:15

So sorry for your losses Gcalgske and Hyggeligt, certainly puts my problems into perspective Flowers

Feeling a bit more positive today so hoping for a good one. Same plan as yesterday, no dairy, processed stuff or booze.

B: eggs, mushrooms, butter
L: tuna, avocado, salad, olive oil
D: pork in toms with courgette, mushroom, leeks, cauli rice with butter

BIWI · 03/11/2015 08:22

Sorry for all your woes, Chester, although I'm sorry I did Grin at the mental image of your trip! Flowers

And very sorry too for your bereavements, Gcalgske and Hyggeligt. Be kind to yourselves during this time - but just beware of the ease with which 'being kind' can lead to being very easily able to justify 'treating' yourself with too many carbs. But, you do what you need to do to get through this initial period. Flowers for you as well

Hi everyone.
Had a total nightmarish week last week which involved a leaking roof on top of so much other shit which could have derailed me. Anyway, although I didn't really post, I mostly stayed on track.

This week I have a fucking sickness bug. Have barely eaten anything since Sunday and couldn't go to aerobics last night Angry

Well done to all the losers, I have sts.

AuntieMaggie · 03/11/2015 09:30

Morning. Marking my place as I'm hoping to join you late at the end of the week if that's ok? I'm recovering from an operation and all I can stomach is toast at the moment and am not prepared for this woe yet... DP has his hands full with our 16 month old so not much help but once I'm back on my feet I'll be on it... just need to write up a meal plan and shopping list!

EwanHoozami · 03/11/2015 09:51

Sending out big love to all of you having such a challenging time at the moment Flowers

DartmoorDoughnut · 03/11/2015 10:02

I cheated on Sunday and have put 2lbs back on, so annoyed with myself! Started back BC yesterday and have the headache still, never cheating again!! Am recording all on MFP so won't repost lol

nekobus · 03/11/2015 10:04

Sorry some of you are having tough times, as someone upthread said, it really does put my minor problems into perspective.

Thanks for the sage advice, BIWI, I haven't cheated and yet put on a few pounds this week. I'm not going to let it derail me which is my usual form - sticking to the BC rules and hope for better results next week.

Bought some magnesium following recommendations on here, maybe that will get things moving too...

Today:
B - 2 hb eggs with butter, coffee and cream, tea and soy milk
L - salad w avocado, olives and mackerel
D - fish pie with cream/cream cheese sauce instead of usual bechamel and cauli mash on top
S - going to see if I can go without snacks today...

Good luck everyone and well done on those losses, it does help to see that it's working for most of us!

ChesterDrawers · 03/11/2015 12:23

Forgot to say that today I am wearing size 12 trousers that have been relegated to the 'one day' pile for about four years. I only tried them on because my size 14 looked like I'd grabbed them out of the baggy rag bag this morning and was very much surprised.

So feeling Grin despite all the other chaos that was getting me down yesterday - so worth overcoming cravings if you possibly can.

EwanHoozami · 03/11/2015 13:48

B - fried spinach and eggs
L - tuna and avocado w/ mayo
D - chicken liver, courgette and goat's cheese salad

2 coffees w/ almond milk so far

EwanHoozami · 03/11/2015 13:49

Hooray for size 12's Chester!

LexLoofah · 03/11/2015 16:11

Condolences to Gcalgske and hyggeligt Thanks

Same breakfast and lunch, roast ribs for dinner

regenerationfez · 03/11/2015 18:23

Flowers to gcalgske and hyggligt.

Well today I bought myself a 700ml drinking bottle that I intended to fill twice in the day, but didn't get round to it!
B: Total Greek yoghurt, coffee with cream
L: Was out and didn't catch lunch so went to Nandos and had half a chicken. Ordered chargrilled veg but pinched a sweet potato chip so naughty when I could easily have done without Blush and sparkling water
d: mackerel pate- smoked mackerel with cream cheese eaten with lettuce cups and moré sparkling water.

Lex what is hm lc cracker bread? I might have your dinner tomorrowSmile

CalmYoBadSelf · 03/11/2015 19:30

B: Ham and creamy scrambled eggs
L: Halloumi and a pack of pecan nuts
T: Baked cod, few chunks butternut squash, green beans and broccoli.

The cod was lovely and was a lc recipe. Mix 2/3 cup mayo with 1 finely chopped spring onion and 1/4 cup grated parmesan. Put fish in a flattish Pyrex dish, spread mayo mixture over top and bake at 200c for 20 minutes. It was yum and family all liked it too

ShebaQueen · 03/11/2015 19:52

Many congrats Chester, size 12 is fantastic!

Condolences to Gcalgske and hyggeligt, so sorry for your loss.

B=hard boiled eggs with mayo and a little avocado
L=roast chicken salad with oily dressing (oh how I love eating the skin from roast chicken, it's been banned on every other diet I've ever done!)
D=home made burgers with broccoli and blue cheese and side salad with yet more oily dressing

So much water I am virtually sloshing when I walk!
