There are a few things to think about there, Notagainmun.
Firstly, the role that food plays for you when you're stressed. You need to try and disconnect the two. Or, make sure that you try and focus on low carb-friendly foods when you feel that you 'need' something.
Second, acknowledge that it's the lure of sugar. Sugar is highly addictive, so it is very difficult to move away from it. This is one of the key reasons why I stress that we shouldn't be eating anything sweet - even stuff that's artificially sweetened - in the first two weeks of Bootcamp.
There's research that has shown that the 'pleasure/reward centre' of the brain is the area that goes into overdrive when we eat something sweet, and this is very similar to how the brain response to drugs/alcohol too.
You need to consciously stop these behaviours. Why did you have those foods in the house, for example? Why couldn't you have had some nuts or cheese instead of the chocolate?
And finally - all of the kind or strict words from me won't make any difference ultimately. It's about you. You have to accept that you are in control of your body and what you choose to put inside it. So another question:
Do you not think you're worth it?
Self-sabotage is often something that we do because, for some reason, we don't want ourselves to succeed.
Visualise yourself thin. How do you feel? Is there any discomfort/unease about being like that?
