Next Bootcamp is going to be a slightly different one from the norm.

It's only going to be for 5 weeks, but it's going to be stricter than the others.

The plan is that the first week will be Ubercamp, which is a no dairy version of Bootcamp; weeks 2 and 3 will be Bootcamp and then weeks 4 and 5 will be Bootcamp Light.

If you just want to Bootcamp (rather than Ubercamp) you're still more than welcome to join!

Anyway, if you want to join in, sign up here.

Trashy You said mayo can fool you into thinking you are having sour cream with chilli, etc. Why don't you just have sour cream? I thought that was ok, I'm sure I bought some a while ago and it was very low in carbs

seagull70 · 19/07/2014 19:16

Are there some rules and some recipe ideas? There are so many threads, it's quite daunting?

Any pointers BIWI? Smile

HolgerDanske · 19/07/2014 19:16

I think Trashy is referring to eating during über camp (no dairy) or maybe one of the fasts people are discussing.

HolgerDanske · 19/07/2014 19:18

Seagull, there's a boot camp recipe thread which is very good.

Rules and info and lots of extra articles are outlined in the tabs on the boot camp spreadsheet

Scousadelic · 19/07/2014 19:19

Aha. Thanks Holger

I thought it was unusual for me to spot something trashy hadn't!

seagull70 · 19/07/2014 19:24

Thanks, I'm being dim but I don't know where the spreadsheet is?

StuntNun · 19/07/2014 19:28

THE SPREADSHEET

Late to the party ( I've got a bottle with me, and shame its water:)

CantEvenKeepAnOrchidAlive · 20/07/2014 08:56

I'm off to do my weekly shop in a bit, ubercamp shopping list in hand!

Can't wait to get started Grin

Lighthousekeeping · 20/07/2014 11:58

I'm just roasting a chicken which will have to last me until I get paid on Wednesday!

Lighthousekeeping · 20/07/2014 11:58

Ps mays spreadsheet is coming up, is that right?

Marshy · 20/07/2014 12:47

Hi, can I join? I'm very much a newbie to low carb, but have been easing myself in over the last week having decided last weekend that I am fed up with my gradual and persistent weight gain.

I think I've got on pretty well. Clothes are feeling a bit looser and I havent felt hungry at all. I think I'm probably not eating enough fat though and I did have some wine last night, but I had had a very low carb day.

today I've had scrambled egg and mushrooms for breakfast. i've just done a spin class, and will be having salmon fillet and salad for lunch with lovely dressing and avocado, then basic bolognese for dinner with cauli mash - this will be an experiment for me. Does that all sound ok?

Looking forward to getting started on next week. I've added my name to the list.

Just to let you all know, the spreadsheet won't be up and running until later on in the day tomorrow - the lovely Sayra who will be setting it up won't be able to do it first thing, so please be patient with us.

I also have not heard back from MNHQ about whether or not a new Weight Tracker will be ready for tomorrow morning, so it's all going to be a bit haphazard tomorrow!!!

OP posts:
Earlybird · 20/07/2014 14:08

Add me in too please.

Complete novice, but willing to give it a go as I've heard wonderful things about the diet. Think I will do regular bootcamp to start with though, and maybe down the line will feel brave enough to join you uber boot campers!

Welcome, earlybird!

OP posts:
Earlybird · 20/07/2014 14:26

Thank you Biwi, and thanks for being our organiser.

I've already got a few questions:

  1. Should I eat breakfast shortly after I wake, or can it wait until I'm peckish (sometimes 2 hours after waking)?
  1. I see artificial sweeteners are to be avoided. What about stevia and/or a small amount of honey?

TIA.

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 20/07/2014 15:07

Early I think most people say to eat regularly to avoid becoming really hungry and "cheating".

I don't know what the boot camp advice is for sweeteners, I assume honey will be completely out.

This will be a challenge for me, I love me some aspartme!

dollywould · 20/07/2014 15:24

I'd like to join, please. Again...

This time, though. I'll see it through to the finish line...

I have never dieted in my life. I am 5 stone overweight. Carbs are pretty much all I eat so this will be hard but I'd like to try.

Schro - thanks for your reply. Having read the full instructions more carefully, i see that honey is out.

I think one of the big challenges for me will be to drink the required amount of water. Can I add a squeeze of lime?
