If you're interested in joining us, sign up here. Bootcamp lasts for 10 weeks, and starts with two strict weeks, before you move on to Bootcamp Light for the remaining 8 weeks.

You aren't allowed to eat:

potatoes
pasta
rice/noodles
bread
sugar
flour

And for the first two weeks you can't eat fruit or drink alcohol

The idea behind Bootcamp is that whilst it should be strict (and therefore, hopefully, work!) that it should also be easy - therefore there is no weighing or counting of anything. Just ten rules that you need to follow.

So if you're interested - put your name down here!

I'm in! Did the last bootcamp, but stopped as I was spending too much money - however I'm so fat now from eating cheap carbs that I have to go back! Smile

I'm in x

I'd like to join. I've done Atkins in the past and it did shift my sugar cravings. I'm still a stone more than I was before my baby was born, and still have around three stone to shift in total. Bring it on! Thanks BIWI.

Do you fly with Virgin Atlantic? I always order their gluten free food and I haven't been disappointed. Apart from the GF bread roll I got every time it was okay carb wise and the portions aren't massive either.

BIWI · 29/04/2014 09:54

I'm aware that it's a bank holiday on Monday, by the way - so if people want to make their official start on Tuesday that's OK too.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 29/04/2014 10:01

Already underway here

RedlipsAndSlippers · 29/04/2014 13:59

Thanks BIWI and Jimmy, feeling quite positive about the whole thing now :) Some of the recipes look lovely!

I am flying with Gulf Air, who skimp on food generally . I have tried gluten free on Emirates and Qatar and both were ok.

RoaringForties · 29/04/2014 15:11

Brilliant, can't wait to banish the carb creep since the last bootcamp.
thanks Biwi

I'm in too - I lost several stone low-carbing a few years ago but with one thing and another I now find I need to lose them all again, along with the friends they have picked up along the way.

I've started in earnest today having shopped. Looking forward to salmon with coriander mayonnaise and spicy stir fry veg for tea. Can't waitGrin

CockBollocks · 29/04/2014 17:36

Well I'm with you pregnant I'm on day three.

StuntNun · 29/04/2014 18:32

Mail order pork scratchings for Maryz.

BIWI · 29/04/2014 18:34

Don't M&S have those individual portions of cheese, Maryz? They're really useful when I'm travelling - I often grab a couple of those.

Jesuisunepapillon · 29/04/2014 18:36

Thank you Lhamo09, I'm very proud of myself!! Just so hopeful I can get the last stone and a half off.

Have started here already too. Eggs for breakfast (had a custard apple too, but I'm not giving up fruit. It was amazing), mackerel and salad for lunch and have some roast chicken for supper. Have food being delivered tonight and have treated myself to a few things like bacon and some avocadoes. I definitely think going back to your favourite treats is a good thing when you're trying to get stricter.

Asda does good pork crackling for about 2 quid so worth getting if you have an asda nearby. It is great for staving off pangs though you do need the crackling one and not the airy puffs of crackling that you get on pubs.

BIWI · 29/04/2014 19:39

Maryz - if you're having to prepare to snack that much it would suggest that you're not eating enough! Or not eating enough fat/protein at mealtimes.

petalsandstars · 29/04/2014 19:40

Stuck on the last stone to go with ww so signing up for something different. Also breastfeeding though so will "light" be explained?

What about packets of nuts? Obviously not for the first two weeks of Bootcamp, but after that you could do it - almonds and macadamias are best.

I know. The world is definitely not made for low carbers. But it does give you an insight into why so many people are overweight!
