Morning all!

Hope all who are ailing are swiftly recovered.

And hope all of those who have fallen off the wagon can climb back on with agility and aplomb.

We still have three weeks left, so a chance to get shot of another few of those pesky pounds.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

and here is the link to the Weight Tracker

Good luck everyone Flowers

MrsHugh, with respect, that's bollocks. Grin

ChesterDrawers · 25/02/2014 21:38

Made the cauli pizza tonight. Was bloody lovely. So much so that I ate the whole thing - that's a whole cauli. Good job I am working from home tomorrow Blush

CrabbySpringyBottom · 25/02/2014 21:48

Bit of a catchup post...

Trashy you did make me laugh yesterday with your rant. Grin
So sorry again about your DS. I hope that this gives him enough of a wakeup call that you and your DP can reach him. Thinking of you and sending you lots of Bootcampy lurve vibes. Flowers

Welcome Stone Sammy and Sweetie

Love that sounds awful. How long have you been taking the tranexamic acid for. Could it be a side effect? Heavy prolonged bleeding will leave you feeling very depleted. I often get absurdly heavy periods and when I'm low carbing they make me feel pretty ill, tbh. If I'm bleeding silly amounts then I up the carbs a bit (obviously better to do that with berries, nuts, carbier veb etc, rather than cake and biscuits). Wink

Stunt I agree that those body fat calculators (and BMI measurements at all actually) should be taken with a big pinch of salt. As we get older our body shape changes and also our faces and overall distribution of fat. I think as we get near our goal weights we need to go on what we see in the mirror and feel in our clothes, rather than some arbitrary number we/someone has decided we should aim for on the scales.

LMiss sorry you're finding it hard at the mo. Antibiotics, as I'm sure you know, can do unpleasant things to our digestive systems and I've no doubt could make you crave certain foods. Sinusitis screws with your senses of smell and therefore taste, too, so you might well be craving textures. You're right - this too will pass! Flowers

Thumb get some frozen summer berries. Wink

Yay Hugh for your shining bill of health!

Stone some people on the spreadsheet don't want to put their actual weights so put 100 as an arbitrary figure and then subtract each pound they lose.

Athel 8 stone at 5'6" is much too thin, surely? Shock

I'm going to start listing my food intake again as it keeps me on track and accountable.
Yesterday
L - boursin and tomatoes
D - leftover roast chicken with stirfried veg; broccoli, mushrooms, pak choi, spring onion, ginger, spices and soy. Bloody tasty.
P - ff greek yoghurt with flaxseed, raspberries and cream
3 cups tea. 3L water

Today
L - spinach and rocket salad with chicken, crispy bacon, tomatoes, feta and alioli.
D - celeriac dolphin pose, leftover roast chicken with mushrooms and boursin, and roasted broccoli with a secret ingredient... Anchovies! The ones jarred in olive oil, not the vinegared ones. I've added them to meat dishes before and they give a lovely umami taste, not at all fishy. I heated them in some oil and mashed them until they broke down into a paste, then tossed the broccoli in it and roasted. Yum.
P - fruity flaxy yoghurt.
2 teas. >3L water.

prettybird · 25/02/2014 22:20

Oops. Blush I had an attack of the munchies tonight and might have inhaled eaten three a creme egg Blush

Better go and drink plenty of water! Grin

prettybird · 25/02/2014 22:24

Sorry to hear about your ds trashy and his dysfunctional relationship with his granny/your mum. All you can do is continue to love him unless and until he wants/will accept help. You obviously care so much for him - but he's got to be ready for change himself. It just be do frustrating for you that your mum (apparently) facilitates him.

sweetiepie1979 · 25/02/2014 22:25

Hi thank you all so much yes I had tandoori and dip and a tiny bit of ginger mirth sauce hope that was ok! I was in ketosis and it's only day
2 is that a good sign? I'll check again tomorrow.

SarahBeenysBumblingApprentice · 25/02/2014 22:42

Chester I need cauli pizza tips, mine was revolting!

Prettybird I shouldn't say this but I'm jealous. I've got chocolate eggs hidden in the garage waiting for easter and I really want to eat them!

Athel I agree with Crabby, surely that cannot be right? Actually, thinking about this - I'm 5ft 6.5 and last time I weighed 8st my periods stopped. I'd be more than happy with 10st at 5ft 6.5 (yes, that half inch matters Grin)

Self-indulgance:
I've just logged on to put my food down - I've got stupid struggling dieting head this week as DH is away and this is the time when I would normally emotionally eat. In addition the scales aren't moving and it's going a bit odd all round. I'm really not hungry for much at all.

B: red pepper and aubergine muffin, BPC
L: left-over moussaka and swede
D; 2 sausages and buttery leeks and pepper. 2 babybel and a square of chocolate.

Crabby tell us what you do with the anchovies! I have a tin that was supposed to be for a pasta recipe and I'm clueless as to what to do with it now.

ElBombero · 25/02/2014 22:55

Hope your ok trashy Thanks

EvaTheOptimist · 25/02/2014 23:14

Trash I hope you sleep well, get some strength.

Athel it sounds like things are looking up! Good luck with the packing. The silver lining could be... when I moved house, talk about a Whoosh, lost about 5lbs in a week! unfortunately that was because it was just so exhausting also put 3 of them back on the next week as I seem to remember but that's this WOE for you

MrsHugh wonderful to hear such great blood results.

I'm about to go on a work trip - where I will find it hard to be 100% lc as there are 4 meals out - and have found myself going slightly off-piste in preparation! We're only talking about finishing off a tiny slice of the kids battered fish and cramming my face with nuts this evening, but even so. I'm shocked at myself. I will try though - this does mean packing eggs so I can make myself low-carb breakfasts - not weird behaviour at all eh!!

MrsHerculePoirot · 25/02/2014 23:27

trashy so sorry to hear about your DS, hope you get some rest tonight.

daisychicken · 26/02/2014 00:31

{{{unmumsnetty hugs}}} Trash

Thumbwitch · 26/02/2014 03:11

Athelstane, that's pure shite that is. I'm 5'5 1/2" (so near enough 5'6!) and when I weighed 8st I looked undernourished, to say the least! Bones hanging out everywhere and concave boobs. NOT a good look. From what I remember, 7st 12 is the bottom of the healthy range for that height, so 8st is very close to the bottom of the healthy range!

What a very strange calculator thing - perhaps it's designed for supermodel measurements? Ignore it, anyway. :)

ChesterDrawers · 26/02/2014 06:59

Sarah did you squeeze the water out of the cauli after it was cooked? Apparently this is the key to getting it crisp. The website I used suggested doing it for five mins, which of course I did yeah, right.

I also cooked the base for 10 mins then flipped it over and did 10 mins the other side too before I added the toppings. So I all it was in the oven for about 30 mins. It was still a bit floppy when it was fresh out of the oven but by the time it had cooled a bit it was quite firm.

Seems to have knocked me out of ketosis this morning though so maybe a whole cauli in one sitting is too much as I didn't have anything else yesterday that could be responsible Sad

Never mind. Today's plan:
B: eggs, butter
L: prawns, avacado
D: corned beef hash, roast broccoli

I am 5'4" and was advised 8.9 stone on that site, which is what I was BC.
Am still being sensible, managed a decent crap yesterday Grin, still feel a bit bloated though Confused.
Hope every one is doing well.

Am returning to proper bootcamp, weekends included.

monkeyfacegrace · 26/02/2014 07:10

Morning all.
Fed up, Im stalling again. Have gone back up 1lb to 156.
Cant get it to budge.
Moan, moan, whinge, whinge Sad

I want a pizza with chips, ketchup and garlic bread Smile

RatherBeOnThePiste · 26/02/2014 07:13

Trash

Morning Brew

Feeling bleuuuuugh here and not sure why!

StuntNun · 26/02/2014 07:23

8st is definitely too low for 5'6. I'm 5'6 and I'm aiming for 8 st 10 lb to be my lowest goal. I recognise that might be unachievable but I'm 9 st 5 at the moment and definitely need to lose a bit more.

DurhamDurham · 26/02/2014 07:51

I'm only 5' 2" and I'm thin at 8 stone, it's the weight I'm happiest at. I think someone a good few inches taller than me would look very skinny at 8 stone. I hate being so caught up in numbers/digits, it's stupid really Sad

RatherBeOnThePiste · 26/02/2014 07:58

It really is Durham. I'm 5:8 and 9 1/2 stone was too low, all the ribs on my chest stuck out, as did my hips, and I had no arse or norks or shape at all. In clothes was OKish, just not underneath.

Not sure where I'm heading this time, but not there again.

AthelstaneTheUnready · 26/02/2014 07:59

Ugh.

Well it's entirely possible that either the website isn't quite right (it didn't ask for height), or my gin numbers weren't quite right - I panic at the sight of a number anyway.

I just did it again (with my tiny 5" wrists etc) and it still says I have over 26% body fat. I'm not playing anymore . Will just wagon on until I get to my original goal of 8 and 6lbs and re-inspect the jiggly bits then.

best wishes to all for a productive and pleasing Wednesday.

SayraT · 26/02/2014 08:14

Good morning everyone Smile

It was nice getting up this morning as its starting to get so light, I hate dark mornings and love nice light mornings and evenings. Think sunrise must have been about 7am.

Anyway, after my mars disaster that I am trying to forget I weighed 232 lbs but today I weighed 229 lbs so I am hoping that by next weigh in I will be back down to 227 lbs and then have sts this week.

B: Coffee with cream
L: Roast chicken drumsticks with celeriac chips
S: FF yoghurt
D: ?

Lovecat · 26/02/2014 08:29

Morning all :)

Had my courgette bolognese yesterday and so far it's stayed down, so I think I'm over whatever it was - thank God!

YY Sayra, it's so nice to get up to the light - especially as it's sunny darn Sarf today!

Trash I hope you had a better night and got some rest.

MyPrecious I can recommend linseeds on yoghurt. Hope you see some movement today (can't believe i just typed that!)

sweetie ketosis in day 2 is great! Good luck :)

Crabby that roasted broccoli with anchovies sounds lush, I will have to get hold of some anchovies and have a go. I took the tranexamic acid for 3 days last week, stopped when I got ill, so I don't know if it was related - could well be coincidence. If I'm still on next week I shall go back to the GP...

Reading some of your posts I don't think I'm going to go near that calculator! I have clothes that I know that when I fit them, I'm the "right" size for me, so I'm going to use that as a guide.

Plan for today is
B - yoghurt with linseeds & cream
L - corned beef swede hash
D - celeriac dolphinpose with chicken wrapped in streaky bacon & greens (probably sprouts fried up and 1 other)

morning losers!
Thanks trashy what a nightmare for you, hope you are ok
mypreciousring Grin

good to hear that everyone is keeping on keeping on, i have a 3 lb gain to enter on the spreadsheet - hardly surprising but am also back on the wagon and have managed to avoid temptation for 2 days now. (temptation for me is a couple of glasses of wine, followed quickly by a binge on whatever is in the DCs treat box...)

am fairly sure that i'm not in ketosis yet, but if i keep on eating LC by day then caving in at night i never will be. hence i found myself at 11.30 last night in front of the fridge scarfing down half a pot of prawn cocktail Blush

so today:
B: rest of pot of prawn cocktail, FF greek yog with cream
L: chicken salad with avocado, blue cheese and mayo
D: not sure, maybe mushroom omelette & wilted spinach?

oh and in other news, i made courgetti last night to have with the spag bol the family was having - it was fab! can't believe i haven't tried it before now!! planning to make crabby's crumble next - this WOE certainly works better for me when i have time to plan and prepare my food.

onwards and downwards! Smile
