Morning all!

Hope all who are ailing are swiftly recovered.

And hope all of those who have fallen off the wagon can climb back on with agility and aplomb.

We still have three weeks left, so a chance to get shot of another few of those pesky pounds.

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

and here is the link to the Weight Tracker

Good luck everyone Flowers

I nipped out to our local Sainsburys for a couple of bits and found they'd reduced loads of meat. Woohoo! Lots of lovely bargains that will keep me going for the week.

Our retro dinner was gorgeous last night. Followed it with some lovely G&Ts to make the day complete Smile

Notsoskinnyminny · 02/03/2014 14:12

I've flown on the A380 and it was the uncomfiest bum-numbing flight I've ever been on and I've done a lot of long haul flights but the onboard cameras are fantastic especially on take off and landing. DH used the linked site to track us and was amazed our route went upto the artic circle rather than across Russia and its great when DD forgets to let me know she's checked in as I know when to stalk her twitterfeed - a selfie at Abu Dhabi McDs is all I need to know she's halfway home Grin

DS is too literal and obedient - I once asked him to take the lid off the recycing box and put it at the end of the drive because it was raining and I didn't want to get wet the next morning I found the lid at the end of the drive and his response was 'that's what you told me to do' Grin

After last night's disappointing meal I've just made prawn bhajis from the IPD cookbook, I cremated the first few but the rest have been demolished.

sweetiepie1979 · 02/03/2014 14:24

Hi all so that's the end of my week 1! Maybe lost pound that's it. I've been good but maybe too much veg. I've been in ketosis but only very lightly pink colour if I was more purple in colour presumably I'd be burning more fat. Should I be aiming for purple in colour?

BIWI · 02/03/2014 15:03

Don't bother with the ketostix - if you're drinking the amount of water that you should be (you have checked the rules, haven't you?) then they will only show pale pink anyway.

Roasted broccoli advice. I want to make it but without the Parmesan - will it be ok or should I not bother?

Piscivorus · 02/03/2014 15:53

It should be nice anyway Pseudo I don't like cheese so use just a tiny sprinkling almost like seasoning so I'm sure as long as you season it, it will be fine

PseudoBadger · 02/03/2014 16:00

Thanks! I'll report back

mirpuppet · 02/03/2014 16:00

I never put cheese on my roasted broccoli and it is DELICIOUS! Olive oil, broccoli and salt are the three essential ingredients.

PseudoBadger · 02/03/2014 16:06

Second question - will it work with purple sprouting?

BIWI · 02/03/2014 16:14

Can't see why it wouldn't! I love roasted broccoli.

OP posts:
Piscivorus · 02/03/2014 16:16

Don't see why not. I think I may have done that once.

Don't know if anyone has seen this Apologies for anyone who doesn't like Daily Fail links. Nothing we don't know but it seems like the pressure is building

CrabbySpringyBottom · 02/03/2014 16:34

Gator the Tony Attwood book is brilliant, particularly for how girls present differently. The developmental paediatrician who diagnosed her described it as 'our bible'. That blog I linked to is really interesting - I'd never heard of executive function either until I read that, but sooooooo much of it resonated with me (and applies to DD and DH too). Have you seen this thread?
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/special_needs_chat/1987301-Support-thread-for-women-who-suspect-or-know-they-have-ASD-traits-or-are-on-the-spectrum?

Notso I read that instruction in the same way as your DS. Grin

Doesn't sound like I'm missing much of an experience with the airbus then. Thumb that sounds awful!

My food yesterday
L - berry crumble and cream
S - gouda and tomatoes
D - squid puttanesca with courgetti
Shared a bottle of cava with DP and then quite a lot of red.
3 teas, >2L water

We've got pork belly slow roasting in the oven and the smell is absolutely gorgeous. On Sundays we have my friend's lurcher here and as my friend is vegetarian, he's not used to the smell of cooking meat. He won't settle down and keep following DP around grinning like a loon. GrinIt must smell so strong and irresistable to a dog's sensitive nose.

StuntNun · 02/03/2014 16:51

Pseudo I don't bother with Parmesan on the broccoli either most of the time. A bit of lemon rind sprinkled on is nice though hardly essential.

CrabbySpringyBottom · 02/03/2014 17:06

Damn you Pisci now I've just wasted half an hour guiltily reading the Daily Wail's sidebar of shame! Hmm Blush Grin

sweetiepie1979 · 02/03/2014 17:13

I just had a seafood platter and fear I messed up prawns salmon all sorts mackeral etc all fine but ate pickled herring and those little peppers that you get in jars that are spicy actually I think they are chillis... I was focussed on not eating all the lovely bread.have I mucked up?

NellVarnish · 02/03/2014 17:16

I just poked my head in to say a quick hello and hope you're all ok!

After my last bout of Carby Twatdom, I never managed to climb back on the wagon, and sort of gave up. :( Didn't come back on the thread as I didn't want to bring the thread down with my tales of woe, and was ashamed by my lack of willpower.

But Thanks to everyone who encouraged me along the way, and I hope it all goes well for you all.

mirpuppet · 02/03/2014 17:50

NellVarnish You can come back. I have and it easier as a fallen one than restarting all over again.

CrabbySpringyBottom · 02/03/2014 17:53

Nell it's not too late to climb back aboard!

Don't sweat it Sweetie (always wanted to say that Grin) - the pickled stuff is probably a bit too carby but assuming that you didn't eat your body weight in that rather than the fish... I wouldn't worry too much. The seafood platter sounds fabulous btw.

Just SMS...

DD is currently at 36,000 feet, with 4,401 miles until their next stopover, travelling at 470 kts (I really love that website!) and...

SHE'S GOING TO BE IN MY ARMS WITHIN THE NEXT 20 HOURS!! (barring plane crashes - don't want to tempt fate there)

I may have had a glass of wine or two already... Blush

WhooshFuckerFairy · 02/03/2014 17:57

Quick post just to wave to all - I never seem to be able to pick my phone up or look at Mn at the weekend, but still thinking of you all.

eva - absolutely with you there - I always seem to think of the best things to say very much after the event, so I try not to say too much when confronted. ( makes it very hard for interviews being a ' reflector'... well done you though for all that hard work

crabby - YANBU at all. shout at her when she is falling over, mmmm - helpful. If necessary - CARRY HER, but definately stand beside her and keep her safe...... what a twit ! I admire you Crabby for keeping so calm and adult about it with him.

pseudo I had purple sprouted broccoli with anchovies and no parmesan..... ( a la Crabby) - could have eaten it 20 times over - gorgeous despite being a bit burnt

Wellcome back Nell. its a WOE for ever for me and this is when we are practicing and if we make mistakes we have " virtual viper" friends to help us back.

Good luck in the morning team - I am happy in the knowledge that I could have done no more this week - I have ticked every single box - so if the f'ing w.fairy does not visit , then perhaps I am at the weight she thinks I need to be.....

one last thing.... after swapping from big pint glasses of water to a sports bottle - so I could diligently sip sip sip away....... I read in GH magazine that sipping aways gives us unattractive lip wrinkles !! can't win

Good luck team... --hoping that does not sound too corny !)

WhooshFuckerFairy · 02/03/2014 17:58

Ps - meant to say - have a lovely reunion crabby xx

BIWI · 02/03/2014 18:08

I'm excited for you, Crabby Grin

Welcome back Nell - we won't judge you! Most of us are guilty of wagon falling offing/

I think I've screwed up The Crumble... Last time I made it I found the topping a bit too powdery. So tonight I added a bit 20g more butter and processed the mix for longer and although not quite a dough, I reckon if I'd handled it it would've turned to dough. I hope it still tastes ok!
Broccoli was a hit with me but DP wasn't sure, but we've agreed I'll try it with 'normal' broccoli before he writes it off.

monkeyfacegrace · 02/03/2014 19:11

Help, is a big dirty doner kebab, minus the pitta, ok?

Suzymoo9 · 02/03/2014 19:41

Just popping in & trying to catch up with the posts - I am happy for you Crabby - not long to go: it must be so hard having you DD away.
Please give the lurcher some pork belly.
