Wow! So much nattering that we've filled up the thread before the end of the week!

Here's the link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for tomorrow morning.

And, for the Weight Tracker I'm not quite sure what happens with this link I think that you will be asked to enter your weight for this week and then you will see your individual graph.

I hope you all had a good week last week, and very good luck for week 2.

I'm on day three of my re-entry into bootcamp. Bugger me, I forgot how much sugar rules me and I'm so cross with myself for having let the bastard back in over Christmas. I was clucking for something sweet after my (preposterously early) lunch but feel better for finishing half a pot of clotted cream Blush

Ah - fat, my lovely satisfying friend!

Keepon I am the voice of experience. Last Thursday I gave into PMT cravings for chocolate and have only just started losing again, in fact I'm only just back to where I was before the binge.

Was it nice? God yes. Was it worth a whole week of no weight loss? That would be a no.

As others have said treat yourself to some lovely LC stuff and try to best the cravings. I wish I had.

NotTwit · 22/01/2014 12:29

Ooer frisky cauliflower Grin.

I talked myself down from eating 'something sweet' on Sunday. At the end of the day I decided that whilst that something might be satisfying right there and then, just after (or even during) I would feel pissed off with myself and I would keep feeling bad until the next day when I weighed myself. And then I'd be really pissed off, because I would have put on weight. And still be really wanting more sweetness.

Good luck, tell those carby thoughts to feck off.

I'm also having issues with really wanting something sweet - cake or biscuits, not chocolate though, which is actually pretty impressive (MAsSIVE chocoholic)

But I've not done it - seeing the scales getting closer and closer to 12st is working as motivation for me, so I'm still on the straight and narrow (apart from the odd cherry).

B - cheese and mushroom omelette, 2 eggs and 2x cream
L - home made mushroom soup with extra butter and 2x cream
D - mince thing (minced beef with veg) and I had strips of courgette fried in butter instead of pasta. Others all had pasta. I added baby bocconcini (tiny mozarella balls) to the mince thing for extra fat, too.

And the best bit - so far, no latenight snack!

LittleMissDisorganized · 22/01/2014 13:02

keepon I am like that when ill. Seems to feel like I will feel ill forever... hang in there. I'm sure thumbwitch mentioned a low-carb hot chocolate that's probably bootcamp light maybe if desperate have some of that, all warming and soothing?

Chester that's real food for thought about the chocolate - crikey. I think of you as The Great Chicken Nugget Inventer, but you are also only human too.

I feel awful. Not going to whinge about it here as have written an essay Blush on the questions thread but right back to the worst of my withdrawal last week, plus diarrhoea. Urgh. Would crawling back to bed be very terrible?

Yesterday:
B: yogurt/cream/flax/vanilla concoction
L:"picnic omelets" - in muffin tin with mixture of cheeses and fresh basil. Leafy salad with vinaigrette.
T:chicken stuffed with mozzarella wrapped with bacon, sauteed leeks with pepper and nutmeg and tenderstem brocolli. Yummy.

EwanHoozami · 22/01/2014 13:50

PS I meant to say - huzzah for the success of the dolphin pose!

BIWI · 22/01/2014 14:09

There's a recipe for chilli on the recipe thread for whoever was asking - sorry, have just sneaked onto MN at work so don't have time to scroll up the thread!

Also, agree that roasted cauliflower is yummy and very easy to do.

Break into florets, drizzle generously with olive oil and season with sea salt and black pepper. It's also lovely with ground cumin and/or dried chilli flakes. Takes about 20 minutes in a hot oven - take it out when the florets are starting to char

We love roasted cauliflower. Smile

Thumbwitch · 22/01/2014 14:27

low carb hot chocolate was courtesy of NotsoSkinny in thread 1, I think.

Half cup water
2 tbsp cocoa (or in my case, raw cacao, not so nice)
cinnamon or other spice to taste
2 tbsp double cream
Heat together in a small pan, stirring continuously, do not allow to boil. Decant back into mug and drink.

I found that 2 heaped TBSP of the cacao was just too much - it's very raw and not a little bitter! So tried again with just 1 tbsp of cacao and a tiny dash of vanilla - much nicer.

holmessweetholmes · 22/01/2014 14:32

Have begun to lose again after my cheats at the weekend. I got a bit hung up on checking the scales last bc and got disheartened. Having read up more about the health benefits of lc I feel happy to just go with it indefinitely and just be glad of any weightloss that happens, however slow or sporadic it might be. Anyway, I feel lighter and slimmer (and more chilled out actually)

b: 2 egg omelette with a bit of cheddar, cup of tea
l: tuna and avocado salad with lots of oily dressing, black coffee
d: chilli prawns with courgette ribbons

Suzymoo9 · 22/01/2014 15:05

Checking in - I can't keep up with all the posts so easily as am at work during the day but saying hello.

Wondering when BC ends and we can add a few berries to our greek yogurts?

today
B - cheese & ham omelette cooked in butter (yum)
L - Cheddar, salmon, cream cheese with lettuce, tomato, cucumber & dressing of olive oil, white wine vinegar.
D - Cauliflower cheese with something, don't know yet. (Having written it down I think perhaps I am overdoing the cheese?)
Coffee with cream

Last night I found mustard, what a revelation!!!
I had no idea it was low carb, and added it to sauce which was gorgeous!!!

Roasted cauli sounds awesome too! Do you need to Pa? boil it?

And does anyone have any ideas of other sauces, I don't like dry food, and I'm getting a bit bored of cream and Philadelphia sauce. I know gravy is out, and tomatoe based sauces I live but was trying to keep away from tomatoes a bit x

GatoradeMeBitch · 22/01/2014 15:39

I had a packet of ham for breakfast, half a roasted chicken with peppers for lunch, and there are gluten free sausages in the slow cooker for dinner which I'll have with onions and cabbage.

Tomorrow I'm meeting my nephew for lunch at MacDonalds. He insisted. But they have a garden side salad, that will do.

I'm already noticing that sugar cravings are going. Sadly I'm also noticing the beginnings of bad breath... It can't be dehydration because I'm drank nearly 4 litres yesterday!

Lighthousekeeping · 22/01/2014 15:59

Is there a carb free gum out there? I'm annoyed that I only brought back only one packet of carb free mints from the states, I thought they'd be available here.

CalamityKate · 22/01/2014 16:00

Sort of Diane-y Sauce For Steak Or Anything Really

Mushrooms
Butter
Wholegrain mustard
Worcestershire sauce
Cream
Philly
Bit of garlic if you like.

Fry mushrooms in butter. Add garlic if using. Add a small dollop of Philly. Add small tsp WG mustard. Mix. Stir in cream. Add Worcestershire sauce - a couple of shakes or to taste. Pour over steak, chicken or whatever really.

Quantities are vague because I can never remember how much I used from one day to the next. It's pretty forgiving. If you like it thicker use more philly etc etc.

Lighthousekeeping · 22/01/2014 16:05

I'm skint until tomorrow. It looks like I will have to have a tin of fish and celeric chips for tea!

CalamityKate · 22/01/2014 16:05

I've really wanted cake today. And chocolate. And biscuits.

Was wondering why - thought I'd beaten the cravings! - then remembered that last night my friend had run out of sweeteners for my tea so I had two cups of one-sugar tea. Hardly tasted it but apparently my body remembers it....

Also another lb down today. Also I miscalculated and my period is imminent which prob explains the stalling the other day.

So feeling quite chipper today! Helped by having steak for lunch at the pub. It's shocking how much of a carnivore I am.

ChesterDrawers · 22/01/2014 16:17

My house smells like a greasy spoon. All the frying I'm doing is leaving its mark. I've had candles going all day and windows open intermittently but it's no good. Anyone got any ideas?

ChesterDrawers · 22/01/2014 16:18

Sorry, should have posted on questions thread.

ImATotJeSuisUneTot · 22/01/2014 16:24

WillieWaggledagger · 22/01/2014 17:29

imatot you can mash, chips, dauphinoise/dolphin pose...

BIWI · 22/01/2014 17:49

We are in week two of Bootcamp, and after this you can move on to Bootcamp Light.

Chester - you don't have to fry everything if it's making your house smelly! You can add fat to food, or do it in the oven.

Re roast cauliflower - no need to par boil, just chuck it in the oven
