Monty100 · 05/08/2010 23:45

i might say rise above it but i cant say i always have!

Monty100 · 06/08/2010 00:52

Those sodding teens are on the street again. Grrr! Three boys on roller blades and then next door's dd polled up and the noise has got worse. This is all new. They've morphed from lovely kids to lippy teens.

Next door's dd's voice goes through my teeth! She's 16 btw.

OP posts:
lou33 · 06/08/2010 01:07

go out and ask them to stfu, and if she gives you grief ask her if she would kiss her mother with that mouth, and offer to check with her to make sure

i wouldnt give a fuck at this time of night what any of them thought tbh

shove a rocket up their arses!

Monty100 · 06/08/2010 01:16

It's gone 1am and they've just gone in. Grr

I'm going to complain to their parents. This can't go on all summer.

I did go out when it was just the boys and asked them really nicely to keep the noise down as people were trying to sleep. I said 'why don't you go to the park'? and they said 'it's dark up there'. FFS, my heart bleeds. (the park is 2m away).

Then next door's dd polled up and I heard her saying 'well she can shut her windows innit'. (The boys were obv telling her I'd been out).

ffs I was fuming, but she is so lippy I had to bite my tongue. The mother must be away again (she was last time). I didn't say anything to her about the last time but I will now.

I have a FIRST TIME thread on AIBU.

OP posts:
Monty100 · 06/08/2010 10:55

Well, I turned off my alarm at 2am and didn't get up until 8.30. I hung around too waiting to see next door's mum, she came rushing out to her car, I guess to get to work so I didn't approach her. But I will later.

At work now. Angry

OP posts:
aseriouslyblondemoment · 06/08/2010 11:28

ohh monty you must be absolutely done inSad
and no wonder she legged it to her carAngry

Monty100 · 06/08/2010 11:44

I am done in and I'll be even worse this afternoon. Perhaps I'll go home early Grin.

Hmm she did kinda leg it. Her car wasn't there at about 9.30 when I came back from picking dd up but I didn't notice when I went out to the lads, and I never thought to look when her big mouthed dd joined in either. Grrr.

I wish Al would finish the stuff in my house so I could get it on the market. Sad

OP posts:
ninah · 06/08/2010 13:27

oh god sorry you are going through this too monty, the summer really brings out the nasty in the neighbours doesn't it
I bet the mother is trying to avoid you
I hope she is civilised when you do catch her, and gives her dc a good talkign to
the stuff with ours has been going on since we moved in, sometimes it's fine but other times it all comes to the surface
I hesitate to move as everything else is good and we hardly see them in the winter

Monty100 · 06/08/2010 13:35

Ninah - it's funny, I'd actually forgotten all about the event a couple of weeks ago until you mentioned yours, and then they came back.

I think Lou has the right approach but I am a wuss.

Anyway, Al has seen the mum down the road earlier and told her I wanted to speak to her. He wasn't there last night but he was the night before. I'm not expecting any sympathy from her.

I wonder if anyone would notice if I fell asleep at my desk. Grin

OP posts:
ninah · 06/08/2010 13:35

couldn't find your thread monty
but total sympathy let us know how it goes

ninah · 06/08/2010 13:44

ah, you're here!
this is it, i mean if ds behaved like that i'd be mortified and apologetic but these parents don;t seem to care - it's like dealing with another species, and you come off worst because they will always find a way to be nastier
every time something happens, like you, i want to move away! but not practical for us
i am a wuss too, or rather I don't mind having it out once but they will carry it on like a feud and that I don;t have the energy for

lou33 · 06/08/2010 14:21

omg i have just been offered free tickets for this

Monty100 · 06/08/2010 14:32

Ninah - me too! I'd be absolutely mortified.

Lou - that's fantastic! Grin
Are you going to be able to go???

I've just been stood at the photocopier, pressing the number for the coffee machine, and wondering why nothing was happening.

OP posts:
ninah · 06/08/2010 15:21

ooh lou! my sis saw him at a similar venue, was raving
like jools
monty! can you leave early?

aseriouslyblondemoment · 06/08/2010 15:21

at least you haven't accidentally photocopied your arse montyShockGrin
lou that looks fab are you all going or are you having a rare night out with dp?
alison moyet's a real blast from the past lol
we occasionally have probs here but the police cracked down a couple of summers ago and turned up with dogs to scare off the nuisance kids
just the odd random drunk now!
ninah iswym about tackling the mother as she sounds a nightmare but there must be something that can be done here?

ninah · 06/08/2010 15:24

or splattered that original contract with latte lol
I spoke to class teacher about the name calling and won't hesitate to nip it in the bud at school
out of school - avoid, avoid, avoid

ninah · 06/08/2010 15:25

I meant raving about it, in a good way lol
she's not raving in the least, she's v sensible

aseriouslyblondemoment · 06/08/2010 15:31

can you stop the younger son coming round?

ninah · 06/08/2010 15:54

they are out there kicking a football now
ds is always desperate to play with him and he is a nice boy
have said they can play but to stay round here
is fine as long as the brother isn't involved
anyone wondering heard from juicy? I was thinking about her the other day, it's usually a positive thing when rl takes over lol

aseriouslyblondemoment · 06/08/2010 15:57

not heard from juicy for ages but i know that she's been snowed under with studying
i would imagine that all's well thoSmile

lou33 · 06/08/2010 17:08

yes we are going and without the kids, whoopie doo!!!!!!

my sil called me out of the blue and said my brother and her company are one of the sponsors, and seeing as i live so close to the venue (about 10 mins in the car), would we like some free tickets

obviously i snapped her hand off, so will spend tomorrow making yummy picnic food, once this weird dizzy head thing i have today wears off

told dp and he (luckily) likes jh too, so we are now both v excited, though i just got told it is meant to piss down :(

still maybe i can sit under my brother's stall that is touting his business to keep dry

they said they had chairs for us :)

FairyLightsForever · 06/08/2010 18:59

Hello all, hope you are all having a good school holiday... we only have a week and a half before they go back to schoolShock
My DD is starting nursery school in 2 and a half weeks [gulp]

Sad and Angry at Monty and ninah's neighbours and ABSM's ds's school probs.

Have a fab time tomorrow lou.

waves to everyone else

Someone mentioned Thin Lizzy up thread... guess who's going to their gig in January... Grin

I'm hopefully off clubbing tonight, it's all 70's and 80's music, so I dance loads. And there may even be the odd nice man to flirt with Grin
