Is this Mumsnet (a board for Mums)? If so, why do you allow men to post on here? Why can't they contribute to their own discussion boards.

This is an inclusive, welcoming site, that's why. Mums here are friendly and happy to talk to anyone. Except for you, you can just fuck off.

GeekIsGood · 30/09/2009 22:12

Forgive me for being judgy (heaven forbid!) but you sound like the kind of person who joins the BNP...

It's called Britain innit? Britain for the British!

These people can never spell or punctuate properly.

I've decided the OP has penis envy.

It's the only thing that explains the lunacy.

yes probably a von stinker..........

no fuck off there's a dear.

DailyMailNameChanger · 30/09/2009 22:15

This one always makes me laugh - I suppose you also think that McDonalds onlys serves "Mcs" then? Oh and they can only be bought by "Donald" - oh oh or perhaps that Gap actually sells gaps (maybe gaps to put between the garage and the garden wall or a nice contemporary gap to put between your cooker and your worksurface)?

Shall I go on? I can think of loads more examples of why you are an idiot

alwayslookingforanswers · 30/09/2009 22:17

awww bless 'em someone has set up a dadsnet - and OMG who'd have believed it - they have some of the same worries (just from the opposite perspective) as us mums

OP, did it ever occur to you that we might want men to come on here and post? I for one think it's always a good idea to get a different perspective sometimes, and male perspectives so often come from a completely different place than female ones, it's good to see the otherside.

Anyway, I don't know why I'm explaining this to you, you are obviously a loon.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 30/09/2009 22:17

V miserable. Am feeling very sorry for myself.

Last one before I go crikey

vonstingerrrr · 30/09/2009 22:18

ImGrandThanks - well done for advising the newbie dads. come on mum's with access / contact issues. this should be a mum's site. my daughter's ex has posted on here (as a woman). whatever the circumstances, men and women have different issues. This is mum's net............................... if you want it to be parent's net, then change the site address

Well, if it were mum's net, it'd be awful quiet. The sound of one mum talking, and all that.

"Go to mothercare and find the men with their nappies in hand ready to do the 2am and 4am feeds."

Well, dh certainly did all the nappies, and sadly nature did not endow him with the appropriate equipment to do the night feeds.

vonsting - hate to shock you, but there are women here who Do Not Have Children. In fairness, you ought to hound them out too. And me, as I would Never Ever describe myself as a mum. I'm a mother, I'll have you know.

I am a bit worried now, my name may make me come across as a man...which would mean I would be shunned by MUMSnet.

Maybe a namechange to JacquelineBauer?

Lol Auntie!

I've looked at a dadsnet some time ago. It was rubbish. This site is well laid out.

Really, are you worried a bloke will hear talk of fanjoes and jiz all over his screen, shorting the circuits and causing localised power cuts? Can't see why else you'd be worried.

There is no way to police the gender of internet posters anyhoo. If you want to be sure you're talking to a laydeee, talk to your friends!

Snorbs · 30/09/2009 22:21

Vonstingerrrr, this section is marked "lone parents". Are you a lone parent? If not, why are you posting here?

Kewcumber · 30/09/2009 22:21

why does it matter so much to you? Men aren't a different species and as long as they behave nicely and put the toilet seat down we voted to let them then in just before you joined. We also voted to keep the name Mumsnet as Parentsnet is a bit a mouthful.

You should have joined a little earlier you could have voted too.

I voted to allow men in because I'm raising a son on my own and I don;t see men as either the enemy or as something we feeble women need protecting from online.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 30/09/2009 22:21

Sorry, but this is dad's net
