starts here

why would you bin off gymboy before asking about it?

he may well just have been checking mail or hiding a profile or something, talk to him before you dump him

Not much to share - he's not free so that's that really!

Don't want to give too many details due to indentification. Let's just say I will come into regular contact with him due to one of my dc's activities.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 24/09/2009 14:26

oooh i think i am guessing. is he another "mans man" type thing?

sincitylover · 24/09/2009 14:28

sorry juicy you've got me stumped there. Having a blonde moment - can you be a bit more explicit - Doh

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 24/09/2009 14:57

footy???

lou33 · 24/09/2009 15:07

ah, not free kind of puts an end to that then

OP posts:
thesouthsbelle · 24/09/2009 15:18

i'd say the same as well tbh.

still nothing this end - apparently we were meeting tonight but not sure I want to know someone who can't even say how are u feeling even by text, he's had today off work as well to do applications for new jobs. then again am totally emotionally drained so might wait before deciding anything.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 24/09/2009 15:40

SB - you have had a shitty day. dont do anything harsh. just get to your bed nice and early. turn your phone off now so he cant reach you.. coz if he does you are guaranteed to be arsey with him if your in an emotional mood.

chalk it up to a bad day for both of you. you will feel better tomorrow.

thesouthsbelle · 24/09/2009 16:07

yeah I know. have switched it off, what's pissing me off more is we'd arranged for tomorrow night and he 'forgot' his hockey presentation, we'd arranged next weds after i've been to the flicks he was gonna pop in but he 'forgot' a concert in bournemouth. I just don't know waht to think at the mo, had rearranged for tonight as said I wasn't bothered really but wanted to try n squeeze one night together in b4 next week and nada.

lou33 · 24/09/2009 16:14

agree with juice, dont make any decisions when you feel shite, dont arrange to see him today, just relax and concentrate on you, he can wait

OP posts:
lou33 · 24/09/2009 16:16

i must admit the double booking would start to piss me off if it was happening regularly

wait til you are back up to full steam and decide what to do then

OP posts:
sincitylover · 24/09/2009 16:23

yes juicy you're right. No it won't be going anywhere - just in my head.

lou33 · 24/09/2009 16:25

nothing wrong with that scl

OP posts:
thesouthsbelle · 24/09/2009 16:28

yeah agreed nothing wrong with in your head! usually find they're a let down in RL if they're good in your head

it doesn't seem to be a reg thing - he did mention to me something or other about the concert on about our 3/4th date but tbh I was too busy ogaling playing pool with him to really listen. so it would seem it's a one off, which prob shows me being paranoid - but it's all a bit convient given the last few days/convos etc we've had esp as in his words this has been the first time there's been 'tension' between us.

sincitylover · 24/09/2009 16:31

no I know and not really my type tbh

lou33 · 24/09/2009 16:34

not always a let down sb

do you think that you are possibly adding 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5, if he has already mentioned the concert?

i mean if you are feeling a bit pissed off with him its easy to read more into it than there may be?

it boils down to not doing anything hasty again i think

scl why not your type?

OP posts:
thesouthsbelle · 24/09/2009 16:38

do u think lou?

yeah I know it's 5 really deep down - guess I have to remember men are well not women! don't think the same and I shouldn't have such high standards!

ahy scl - why is he not your type?

lou33 · 24/09/2009 16:43

i dont know but its a possibility

i know that if something bugs me then i find it a lot easier to make other things fit as well, iyswim

i have also learned not to make any decisions when i am below par, mull things over yes, but i tend to wait til i am in a less vulnerable state of mind now before i do anything

OP posts:
sincitylover · 24/09/2009 16:53

I never make decision or do anything rash when I have pmt.

Totally governed by the moon LOL

Would say my type are usually mid height, dark, well built geezers and a bit abrasive.

This one is a taller, chunkier, softer type (could still be a geezer though) - I think it's just the way he is with all the kids, he is also very calm and gentle. He just has a nice way about him tho still masculine.

No more fey types for me.

sincitylover · 24/09/2009 16:54

Just realised the description of my type is a bit well bleeugh will think about refining it on the way home!!

lou33 · 24/09/2009 17:22

lol @ refining

Just wanted to say hi, do you think someone could do a daily round-up or whatever? If you don't check in regularly it's hard to keep up, there seems to be a lot of action!

Have a date on Saturday for the first time since I split with loony weirdo ex 4 months ago and I'M REALLY EXCITED. He even texted today and said he'd chose a restaurant and book it. Of course, and I know from past experience, to feel positive at this stage is not necessarily a good thing. Also corresponding with a most interesting and gorgeous-looking guy but he lives 100 miles plus away. I vowed when I split with ex, who was 200 miles away, I'd never do long-distance again. But I'd love to meet this one.

How far away are all the men in your lives and how far do you reckon is too far? (ASBM, I know your views on this!).

lou33 · 24/09/2009 17:57

it's nice to have something to look forward to, enjoy being excited

i am about 90 miles from the one i am seeing atm, which is a bit tiring if i do it in a day

we are only able to eet up every couple of weeks atm, but we stay in daily contact

i dont mind it, it means there is something to look forward to and lots to catch up on

i think much further away would be quite hard wrt driving though

OP posts:
DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 24/09/2009 17:59

beachbum and irish are 20 mins drive if roads are quiet. 30 mins if its busy.

i drove 1 hr to meet someone. wouldn't do that again.

i would say tbh about 30-40 mins is my max... i have such little time free that its nice to be able to meet for a quick couple of hr through the week. whereas if they are 1hr+ away thats not possible and you are limited to wkd only meetings.

DONTtouchMUMSspecialJUICE · 24/09/2009 18:01

oh and sometimes excited is a good thing. and nervous. gives a added spark if you do get on.. but similarly an anti-climax if you dont.

notevenamousie · 24/09/2009 18:14

Soooo come on RJ, tell, how was last night and your special occasion undies?

sb - I think you get to join mine and eve's club of overthinking - at least I hope so, and that it's not something more serious. I hope you can keep focused on you feeling better.

Lots of "get well soon"s!

I am off long distance too now though that wasn't the only thing wrong with my recent disaster.

I am really stressed about work or more specifically the terrible commute I am having to do which is making me really tired and at times weepy. But I am looking forward to tomorrow night though how I get dd fed and to bed and myself looking presentable and some dinner on the go in an hour... I don't know!
