unless i'm being thick and cant find it.

lou - go on send me a pic of dark horse i'm so nosey.

ninah - i think thats really rude of your friend. if she didn't have anything nice to say she shouldn't have said anything at all.

i think its more the way he behaves rather than the way he looks, gah i dunno!

he has moved some more furniture for me and done my kitchen lighting as well

i am going to drop him to the station soon

lostinthecitylover · 26/05/2009 19:09

yep rj - treat em mean etc

The trouble with me is I know if I sort of think I've got the upper hand lookswise or any wise really I might get bored. I think that's rather juvenile of me really but I suppose you can't change your basic personality.

I suppose the ideal is a mutual appreciation. I have never found that yet though.

lostinthecitylover · 26/05/2009 19:12

Im having a few slight niggles with samename - what he was wearing yesterday - gawd I am shallow I know.

Isn't it a bit soon to be having such niggles?

I do know though that he has some with me - not fixing up a satellite dish for example and my driving.

Maybe the starry eyed thing wears off as you age.

raggedtrouseredphilanthropist · 26/05/2009 19:21

lost - lol at the clothes thing. I guess if you really like someone you dont mind? I don't know. That is what I am basing everything on!

My mate once said - is it possible to find any men still attractive in their 30s. After all, general age kinda denotes that a lot of men are bald / balding or have ear hair or some such thing. And I also find that the gorgeous ones tend to be arseholes. My ex was / is "good looking" and he was a right wanker...

love the phrase - feeling funny in your pants. such a great description!

lou33 · 26/05/2009 19:35

darkhorse has gone home now

lostinthecitylover · 26/05/2009 19:37

he usually dresses fine - it's just his housewear that leaves something to be desired.

I dropped him off locally yesterday and he was wearing short shorts, top and a baseball cap!

lou33 · 26/05/2009 19:45

i think i am a bit unsure because he reminds me of some harry enfield character

raggedtrouseredphilanthropist · 26/05/2009 19:48

which one lou?

lostinthecitylover · 26/05/2009 19:57

which is the sort of thing my dss migt wear!!

ooh which one lou?

ridingjoker · 26/05/2009 20:02

lou - rofl is this dark hiorse who looks like harry enfield character? or scl image of samename?

OP posts:
lou33 · 26/05/2009 20:09

my one, darkhorse lol

not a specific character, but just in how he is sometimes

lou33 · 26/05/2009 20:15

but i feel really bad saying that, because he us so nice to me

today i wasnt feeling well because of my stomach problem starting up in the night, and when i was napping he had done my lighting in the kitchen and moved some furniture about that i wanted doing

plus he has said he is going to build a picnic bench thingy for the kids and wants to get me some carpet for my living room and hall

and he is taking me away on friday

i shouldnt be moaning at all really should i?

lostinthecitylover · 26/05/2009 20:23

I feel quite bad too for inwardly squirming about his outfit tho samename has not done anything around the house yet!!!

lostinthecitylover · 26/05/2009 20:24

is he like 'oh you don't want to do it like that, you want to do it like this!' Enfieldism

lou33 · 26/05/2009 20:30

no lol, i dont know which one but something is reminding me of a character

ridingjoker · 26/05/2009 20:38

scl - i was thinking of those 2 young lads from harry endfielsd. stroppy teenager types.

lou - he sound rather nice bloke tbh. as long as he's aaverage and not ugly why complain?

well

have some new.

everyone sit down.

superman has been exchanged for marvel.

remember what we said about those ones that sneak up on you. still early days. but who knows.

OP posts:
lou33 · 26/05/2009 20:51

he is nice

maybe too nice? i wonder if i am doing this?

one of my closest friends, whom i thought would say he wasnt right for me, actually said she thought he was one of the best ones she had met, and i should give him time and see if he grows on me

she reckons he is a nice guy and isnt bad looking, and maybe i am just deliberately putting blocks in the way

but i dont know if there is enough sexual attraction there for me either

how confusing

lou33 · 26/05/2009 21:09

plus my cat likes him, takes food from his hand and lets him touch him

he wont even let me do that ffs

ninah · 26/05/2009 22:21

At least he's not Farmer Ted? lol
you were on mn while he was still there!
rj what's happening? did you have another date with marvel then? tell all ..
must admit I had a smoke the other week, it's a summer thing isn't it, but I really didn't enjoy it, I think my head finally made the switch

ninah · 26/05/2009 22:23

and yes I agree the starry eyed thing def wears off with experience, lost!

aseriouslyblondemoment · 26/05/2009 22:29

ROFL!!
RJ well i never!

nothing much happening with me,have had a few dumb assed messages and briefly chatted to a poss.interesting bloke til he lost his connection

ninah and scl lol
i have a thing about awful clothes too
that phileas dressed as tho he was still a sixth former into nirvana
not a good look on a 41yr old man

ridingjoker · 26/05/2009 22:31

met as friends. both outside house and at mine. kinda warmed to him as he's turned out to be lovely.

taking things very slow. he's coming round tomorrow again to watch a dvd late on once lo's in bed.

OP posts:
ninah · 26/05/2009 22:35

ooooh rj! sounds good, and you're fairly reticent which makes me think you're quite keen on this one

aseriouslyblondemoment · 26/05/2009 22:35

aww lovely stuff

ninah · 26/05/2009 22:37

nm is no clothes horse but he is quite good at taking criticism
