unless i'm being thick and cant find it.

ninah - i think thats really rude of your friend. if she didn't have anything nice to say she shouldn't have said anything at all.

OP posts:

Janos · 01/06/2009 09:15

Lol lou yes I think you're right. Obv I don't mean that younger men are throwing themselves at me. That would be inconvenient..not not mention, at my size,I;d probably get knocked over (ho ho).

Despite beuatiful weather DS wants to stay in and play PS2 games all day. Think I will force him out for a picnic later.

rj - The whirrel..ok, I like it

Other bloke is a construction worker. Any suggestions?

ninah · 01/06/2009 09:31

well we've had a Bob I believe

aseriouslyblondemoment · 01/06/2009 11:03

morning all!
and another gloriously sunny day and half-term is over too -yay!!
ninah-are you having a wobble here?i can understand where you're coming from tbh,and i expect all this ongoing talk of our various cybermen might well get you wondering.but hey, let's face it how many of us have met anybody half decent?ok i've been out with lots of fellas now but they've either been dullards or complete twats havent they?but i have to be honest i do like being free to find out lol.
lou-
janos-well i knew it wouldnt take you long to get your enthusiasm back
rj-bet you have your thinking cap on now!glad that things going nicely with marvel
itm-sorry to hear about skippy,i hope it doesn't deter you from having another look, you know how quickly all these things change
scl-things sounding more pos with samename for you,do you think he might be a keeper?
and me well i've tried to nicely explain to actionman about the nature of internet dating and that it's v diff from actually meeting someone beforehand in RL.he seems undeterred tho lol

aseriouslyblondemoment · 01/06/2009 11:08

oh am seeing him on saturday
he wanted to know what time i would be up at as he wants to take me out for the day with lunch and dinner
i've said a drink will be just fine lol

LouLovesAeroplaneJelly · 01/06/2009 11:15

Morning all
Well I am back from the totally exhausting holiday. I have no idea what has been happening to everyone and really can't be arsed reading through all 15 pages so I hope all is well and I have nothing to report.

lostinthecitylover · 01/06/2009 11:18

asbm - he could be a keeper but still early days.

Changing the subject slightly another rant about exh and new p. They told Ds2 he is overweight (ds2 is 7 FFS) and he was also asked what I put in his lunchbox!!

exh also told me over the phone (with witness at my end) that Ds2 was selfish and self centred - I hope ds2 couldn't hear.

Needless to say I have sent an email
to exh today telling hime to stop. It can't be right can it.

DS2 is a big eater (of all types of food) and chunky build (think rugby player) and currently doing activities ie football trainign and swimming.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 01/06/2009 11:20

hiya llaj
thought you'd disappeared!
why nothing to report?
not good enough lol
you have strict instructions to get back online pronto

lostinthecitylover · 01/06/2009 11:26

Should have added that I think what they are doing will give him more issues with food and may lead to comfort eating.

LLAJ- where did you go on hols and weren't there any fit men there?

ASBM - good luck for Sat

Am considering introducing samename to kids mainly for practical reasons - he might come and help me with my garden (he has equipment. He is quite sweet but not in a wet way.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 01/06/2009 11:32

oh jesus he sounds hideous
and yes i agree that kids have enough on their plate without comments like that which could crush their confidence
doesnt he realise how damaging this sort of crap is at this tender age
oh god hes made me cross

aseriouslyblondemoment · 01/06/2009 11:39

aaaghhh
f**ing ex's
why do we have to put up with their crap still?

lostinthecitylover · 01/06/2009 11:41

makes me livid as well- unfortunately it seems he has met another control freak type in his new p

they do GF for their DTs - completely regulated regime with no flexibility
says they will only ever drink milk/water, no chips or nuggets ever
constantly questioning my dcs about what they are eating with me

FWIW ds1 is skinny as a rake

exh is OCDish about clothes (matching, have they got any tiny marks on etc, and 'toilet' issues

Guess what ? DS2 has ishoos around toilet use making us late for school every day!!

Should start own thread really

lou33 · 01/06/2009 11:47

ooh scl i just asked darkhorse if he had any gardening tools

my grass is about a foot deep cos the mower isnt working and he said he will look at it, but i also cant find my loppers for cutting back some overgrown stuff

men can be handy

aseriouslyblondemoment · 01/06/2009 11:52

oh fgs but i guess exh had a funny upbringing himself
lets face it none of us bring our kids up on chips alone and mcds etc are part and parcel of a normal child's life
and he should be delighted that he has healthy normal boys who are so into their sport
seems to be a recurring theme on this thread doesn't it
the twat ex
no wonder we're all still out there looking in hope

aseriouslyblondemoment · 01/06/2009 11:54

hahaha!
just had actionman offering to come round to do some jobs for me

lostinthecitylover · 01/06/2009 11:55

yes samename is a curious mix of being quite homely (with all his garden equipment and likes nature programmes) but also quite wild where it counts

Not suggesting nuggets are fantastic food but I don't agree with demonising food and who's to say that cupcakes are ok for example and nuggets aren't.

Anyway we are having fish and couscous tonite.

lostinthecitylover · 01/06/2009 11:58

also exh is a total hypocrite as he loves fish and chips, binged on chocolate, drank quite heavily and often used to eat several round of hot buttered toast. But he 's prob suppressing all that atm

lou33 · 01/06/2009 11:58

darkhorse is the same scl

ignore your nobber exh, he is being a cock, but you must be , i would be

lostinthecitylover · 01/06/2009 12:02

yeah lou think that combo is quite unusual- have never come across it before. Quite good - the male equivalent of a whore in the bedroom and maid in the kitchen or whatever Jerry Hall said!!LOL

aseriouslyblondemoment · 01/06/2009 12:16

oh yeah
that famous jerry hall quote
and prob.samename will be a much more fun and normal male to have around your boys
exh sounds like totally repressed
jeeze i bet they have a barrel of laughs round his house

lostinthecitylover · 01/06/2009 12:43

usually when I pick them up ds1 is often in a strop!!

yesterday they weren't too bad but on Monday (exh took them to a sporting event)we met in a park and ds1 was sitting at top of one of those rope structures refusing to come down "because of daddy" and exh was ranting away about their bhaviour.

They arent brilliant together they wind each other up but as I keep telling hinm that's normal between siblings.

LouLovesAeroplaneJelly · 01/06/2009 12:58

Hi asbm

I took all the kids to Devon for the week while their parents were in the USA. I am shattered but still had a nice time. Only men there were all married, young or really quite dodgy looking.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 01/06/2009 13:12

ohh my ds1 would prob.tell him to take a chill pill lol
my exh is the same tho his probs.are with dd
ohh yes the joys of sibling rivalry
llaj have you given up with bsh?
any joy on match?
i see that dating direct is offering 3 free days..anyone??

LouLovesAeroplaneJelly · 01/06/2009 13:37

No not given up with bsh yet. Am still emailing. Been emailing with a few on match.
Just seeing what happens really.

lou33 · 01/06/2009 14:02

aseriouslyblondemoment · 01/06/2009 14:12
