ooooh i get to start the thread.
unless i'm being thick and cant find it.

ninah - i think thats really rude of your friend. if she didn't have anything nice to say she shouldn't have said anything at all.

i am off tomorrow afternoon to see darkhorse, he said he has got champagne and treats for the hotel

i'm feeling a bit guilty for arranging to see batman possibly next weekend now, though i am not sure why as we havent had any relationship talks as of yet

Remotew · 28/05/2009 19:07

ITM sounds like you have had a huge shock. You are understandably upset. He should have had the decency to tell you first before he introduced the children to her. Once the shock has worn off you will get used to it. I promise.

RJ and Marvel, that's great. Funny how things turn out.

Lou, hope you enjoy your time with Dark Horse.

I'm going to be super busy over the next few days so will have lots of reading to do when I get chance to go online. Leaving work tomorrow and got family arriving, then the hen weekend. Don't know how I will keep up. lol

Friend with benefits from last weekend finally got round to texting me today, not that I've been holding my breath. Been so busy I haven't had chance to reply yet.

Hope everyone enjoys the predicted hot weekend.

lou33 · 28/05/2009 19:34

have a good time eve

ninah · 28/05/2009 19:53

sounds good eve!
rj's in lurve
asbm has a fia to date - btw who decided to drop the 'available' on thread title, naughty naughty rj
itm that must have been horrid, and you've not been apart that long. My ex lied about seeing his bit of stuff for abs ages but has at least kept her away from dc. Best thing in my view is to keep private life private, and I haven't told him about nm. Also never mention social plans, I don't think he'd be as mean as your ex about refusing to have dc etc rj but just to be on the safe side! I think he imagines I'm home ironing.
Dilemma. Friend of a friend has suggested I meet someone as a blind date, well I've seen his photo, not bad looking, hair, teeth etc, farmer. On the downside he likes Thai women (I have huge feet and English ankles, not cankles, but still ... ) and his marriage split cos of affair. No dc. Don't go all shocked on me asbm I'm not married! purely theoretically, would you meet a man like this?

lou33 · 28/05/2009 20:00

i would want to know why he specifically likes thai women

ninah · 28/05/2009 20:03

yeah that bothers me

lostinthecitylover · 28/05/2009 20:21

yes the liking of thai women would make me run a mile tbh as I would deduce that he liked the fact they tend (note the word tend) to be more subservient than us Western women. Also look very childlike.

It would be a dealbreaker for me tbh. Sorry to sound so negative.

Janos · 28/05/2009 20:23

Thanks everyone, you lot are lovely and talk so much sense.

Well today has definitely been an improvement on yesterday. Finally sorted out the contact issue with XP - it's a compromise but the main thing is that DS gets to go to his party (I won't bore you all with the mnassively tedious and stressful back and forth between me and XP sorting this out).

asbm - didn't pick up your message for some reason - msn has been playing up! Congrats on your date . Marathon man - sounds promising!

ninah - like lou I too would be wondering why he likes thai women? It seems a bit odd.

itm - really feel for you. Very insensitive of him and no wonder you are fuming.

abouteve - enjoy your hen night! Sounds like you have a fab weekend ahead.

rj - what a pain about Saturday night..my XP loves to do this sort of thing too. Stuff up my plans I mean. It's so unfair.

lou - your love life sounds very dramatic and exciting I must say. What is your secret ?

ninah · 28/05/2009 20:27

those were my thoughts exactly
I will count my blessings
what I really want to know is why are all my friends digging up spare men now of all times? I'm almost feeling like I should date them to be polite
you are in midlands asbm? fancy a tall dark handsome farmer with questionable sexual history? or a carpenter who lives with his parents, possibly? Am beginning to feel like some kind of man refuge

lou33 · 28/05/2009 20:33

dramatic and exciting?

lol i am glad it seems that way to you

ridingjoker · 28/05/2009 20:35

ninah - hard choice bi-sexual farmer, or mummies boy carpenter

OP posts:
Janos · 28/05/2009 20:35

My love life is this interesting so everyone elses looks fabulously exciting in comparison

Janos · 28/05/2009 20:37

Mummies boys to be avoided at all costs imo.

lou33 · 28/05/2009 20:39

take the bi , no question

ninah · 28/05/2009 20:43

janos - at least you got stuff sorted with ex. Sounds like you've enough on your plate without dramatic love life atm. Glad it's sorted!
asbm, yes I'd stick with action man if I were you. If I get any more rural charmers suggested, Texas chain saw massacre family lookalikes, you name it, will be pleased to throw them open for offers ...
the mad thing is ds has always hoped I would marry a farmer and I'm thinking, well, there would be tractor rides, etc, ds would love it ... I was quite hungover, in fairness

lou33 · 28/05/2009 20:47

he might try to milk your udders though

Janos · 28/05/2009 20:47

You're right ninah - a nice cup of coffee is enoughr excitement for me right now lol. Talking of which...

ninah · 28/05/2009 20:49

lou, yuk! right, that's me decided.
hope it's a black coffee janos

aseriouslyblondemoment · 28/05/2009 20:50

rofl ninah!
yeah send him my way he can't fail to find me i'm the desp divorcee with the red light outside my house and lou's price list tattooed to my forehead
and why oh why are your friends trying to do this?
and er hem when i mean whenare you going to refer to him as a bf instead of nm
eww thai women!er next...
no haven't sorted date as yet with actionman i like to be chased as you know

lou33 · 28/05/2009 20:51

hahah asbm, i think you should clarify that comment slightly dont you?!!!

aseriouslyblondemoment · 28/05/2009 20:52

this isn't cs' farm manager geezer is it

lou33 · 28/05/2009 20:54
ninah · 28/05/2009 20:55

I rather think that's what they think of me (and I was not even married to ex so double jeopardy) my house is on a hill and a red light would shine out for miles, over the fields and farms - just think what kind of clients it would attract

aseriouslyblondemoment · 28/05/2009 20:56

lol lou
you know what some of these so called men think of us
they've even said it to our face

lou33 · 28/05/2009 20:57

i know what you mean but you said it was my price list
