Good morning everyone.

Lou - wow what an amazing offer however must voice some concerns regarding politics of Zimbabwe etc, yes you certainly do need a firm idea of what the score is before you commit to anything.
Ninah - so how are dealing with NM then? have you put him back on the first train back home on a one way ticket?
SCL - sorry you're feeling so rough, hope you feel better soon.
Asbm - Hi, will look at the frd guy you sent me now.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 21/04/2009 09:44

afternoon all.

lou - bloody noorah

holly - hi, hows your investigating of sites going just now. found anything interesting and dare i say "fit"

Remotew · 21/04/2009 13:34

Thanks for the comments ASBM on my thread. Decided not to go ahead anyway. Guess some of the comments were from people who didn't realise we have some yummy mummies on here. Tongue in cheek.

Hoping my friend is serious about us meeting up again. I was just saying a few days ago that I want to go on a date with someone whom I know and knows me so think I will pin him down. Perhaps the timing might be better.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 21/04/2009 14:04

yes i def.thought it would suit you for sure
i don't do colours myself, too attached to my black wrap dress
and oh yes your friend
that's the joy of being on this thread isn't it,everything changes so quickly
must be something in the air lol

ninah · 21/04/2009 14:33

hi everyone
holly I am deciding to do nothing as per usual
I may get round to making a list of pros and cons but I don't have the energy to dump him again just yet
he came close on Sunday, he tutted at me
feeling any better scl?

ridingjoker · 21/04/2009 14:44

rofl at tutting

ninah · 21/04/2009 14:48

rj I am just too old to be tutted at
I had left my keys which added 5 mins on to a journey
there were a series of tuts and a sigh
this is from someone who described himself as 'easy-going'
wtf do they do that?
where tf is his gsoh?? eh?

ridingjoker · 21/04/2009 15:02

if you were driving you should have stopped the car and offered him the door

ninah · 21/04/2009 15:06

no we hadn't even left yet
but I am supposed to be cutting his hair tomorrow (what he has left)
my forgetful nature might just overcome me when I get to evening up the back

lou33 · 21/04/2009 15:21

cut "twat" into the back of his hair

exex seems more relaxed today than yesterday but not as chatty as previously iyswim

v (my male best friend) is not feeling good after his session but he is still talking about me doing this with him, so it wasnt just the drink i guess

regardless i have a lot of things to look into before i make any decision at all

inthemistsoftime · 21/04/2009 17:05

ninah, will you be using a bowl?

I txt marathon man this morning and as yet he hasn't replied, I know he works nights but that is no excuse!

Am definitely going to delay my reply to him, thats if he sends me one in the 1st place!)

Skippy has disappeared, but he did say he would as he is working in Germany for this week, am hoping to meet up with him soon.

Remotew · 21/04/2009 18:08

Things do change quickly on this thread indeed and not always for the best.

I got a text off my foreign friend inviting me out tonight, a Tuesday fgs, decided to go as it's time I got out of my rut. Need to dash now.

aseriouslyblondemoment · 21/04/2009 19:37

inthemist - i used to work nights. and i would put my phone on silent. you wouldn't like someone calling you through night if you were sleeping. calling/texting him thru day is same if he's nightshift.

depends when you text and when he was working of course.

i would wake at 4pm. by tim you fully waken up and get washed and changed its later in evening before you get back to people. same as when i get up first thing here. i wouldn't call or text people till i'm washed/fed and organised

does that make sense? sometimes if i wasn't finishing till 7am. get home 8am. get snack and sleeping 9am. not getting up till 7pm.

really depends how late his night shift runs till

i often found on certain shifts i would loose contact with friends for weeks as when i was up and functioning they were sleeping

lou33 · 21/04/2009 22:24

my phone is always on silent, just on vibrate

lostinthecitylover · 21/04/2009 22:42

yes I also keep my phone on silent/vibrate most of the time.

The other day was at work and wondered what the bee was in my office then realised it was my phone!! I actually jumped up !!

exbf works nights and would always be a bit groggy early evening. Could manage to stay awake until about 9.30/10/00am

lostinthecitylover · 21/04/2009 22:44

pS thanks for those who asked am still dosed up on painkillers for my throat, my voice is still very croaky but the good news is the tablet i took for thrush earlier seems to have worked already.

So I will go to work tomorrow tho not really 100% - also had a lovely sleep this afternoon

Remotew · 21/04/2009 23:20

Glad you are feeling better scl. I had the sore throat last week. Got some more rest and dosed up on paracetomol and thankfully was OK.

Had a very pleasant evening with foreign friend. He was the perfect gent and wants me to watch the footie with him next Wednesday then go for a chinese. I'm looking forward to it. I am a footie fan on the winning side, he supports the loosers.
(Man U v Arsenal)

Glad we hooked up again but it's not the biggie.

inthemistsoftime · 22/04/2009 07:35

morning all, he did eventually txt back, yeah.

we now have a 2nd date for monday, during the day, think we are going to do a red bus tour!

I am such a big kid!

inthemistsoftime · 22/04/2009 07:40

thanks rj, for the insight into night shifts, it explains some things to me.

It was quiet on here last night, but in general positive for both scl and eve.

rj, are you and superman still counting sleeps?
