Birthdays as a single parent are really crap!!

My Birthday today and not one present.
No card from DS1 and DS2 because xp didn't have time to take them to a shop sunday, despite them saying they spent 4 hours on comp or DS's!

DD1 and DD2 raided my box of cards to write me one this morning.

We ran out of loo roll tonight so i had to cycle the mile to the shops in the rain! Grapped some chocolate and 2 bottles of Budwieser while i was there lol!

Oh I do sympathise, birthdays as a single parent are pants and it seems like everyone else gets fab presents and has a wonderful time.

Mind you, birthdays with my XP were worse so I figure they can only get better!

I know exactly how that feels as xmas just gone I did not get one present even tho I bought alot of presents... Did feel sad, but I feel maybe it is part of growing up and will make me stronger?? Not too sure but I try to look at it that way or else I would cry... lol xxxxx

I imagine how you feel and i am not there yet but am on the way. Pregnant and alone and going to be a lone parent so i m going to have many birthdays like this.

Try to think it could be worst if you spend birthday traped in a bad relationship. at least you can do what you like, drink and eat what you fancy lol.

Or imagine how it would be without mn!
