Hello is there anyone out there! Feel like the only single parent on the planet! All my mum friends are married or have a partner and am starting to feel really 'single'! Plus all the marrieds are now having more children and I am starting to get pitying looks of the 'I'm sure you will meet someone before it is too late' variety!

Well we're anything but alone by the looks of it!
I'm a single mum to my beautiful baby boy, just over 8 months old now. Went through my pregnancy alone too & have been experiencing/thinking much of what you all have mentioned in your posts.
Anyone in North London fancy linking up now the sun's out?

NoLongerMyFirstPost · 27/05/2008 20:57

Yes fransmom, a lot further than that. I'm fairly new to this, do I need to do anything to make cat work?

sneekpeeks · 27/05/2008 21:08

Im fairly new to MN.

In Im Gloucestershire, anybody else ??

fransmom · 29/05/2008 16:06

right oh thne. here goes. have had to open two windows as i couldn't remember what to do!

in the blue line at the top of this page (right under the mumsnet banner), you need "my mumsnet".

then you will need to log in with your registered email address (the one you used when you jooined mn) and your mn password.

then go to email options (this is on the menu bar underneath the blue bar). the page that comes up is email preferences and to enable cat (contact a mumsnetter) messages, the one you need is the 2nd one down and will probably have "no" written in red. next to it will be a erm , whatyoumaycallit , click on that to allow cats.

does that make sense? bit wordy i think lol

fm xx
