I have all these stupid worries that no guy is ever going to want to be with me ever again. Im about to have my second baby and im on my own and feel quite lonely. I dont want this to last forever, i just want to settle down with someone who will love me and my beautiful kids. Is it too much to ask for another guy to want to settle down with a young single mum and her kids or do guys just consider people in my situation to be chavs or slappers with too much baggage? How have you done in relationships with people who arnt your kids dad?
seems like such a daunting thing, but im sure some of you ladies out there have some experiance

No I never worry that I am going to be left on the shelf because I know that I am very dusty and at the back of it .

LBA · 27/03/2008 23:36

What are you rambling on about singledad?

singledadofthree · 27/03/2008 23:44

have remembered...a few women have said i'll only attract single mums - is why i mostly keep clear of this place these days

just thought i'd amble in as i was hit by a tree today and am aching. not that theres any sort of link in that...i'm rambling...

LBA · 27/03/2008 23:45

Hit by a tree my arse, you probably walked into it.

singledadofthree · 27/03/2008 23:49

have given that up due to repeated ridicule, lamp post, telegraph poles etc. honest tho - it hit me in the ribs. i had just cut it down tho and it kind of sprung up at me with one of its branches - and wack - in the ribs. stop laughing! it hurts.

alipiggie · 27/03/2008 23:53

SDOT . And just to add myself into this discussion. I'm a nearly 43 yr old soon to be divored mother of two young boys . I live in hope that one day I will find someone worthy of me. But got to get rid of the emotional baggage and I've been on my own for two years now. If it's meant to be it will. Otherwise, I'll just become this eccentric English woman living in Colorado doing good deeds. Seriously though, I'm not rushing into a relationship as right now my boys need me, but if someone should come along - well we'll see.

(Hijacks thread by waving hello and goodbye to SDOT)

LBA · 27/03/2008 23:53

Whatever. You know its a daft idea to ask me not to laugh at your misfortune!

singledadofthree · 27/03/2008 23:57

singledadofthree · 28/03/2008 00:04

LBA · 28/03/2008 00:05

Single dad, am surprised you didn't listen to whatever that woman told you. Men are usually much more attentive
Better read the small print on Madamez's xp, Charlotte!! As to the rest of you girlies, I've got 6 kids (all at home) and I'm 44, but I found a really lovely man last year & we're still together ... there is someone for everyone out there.

LBA · 28/03/2008 00:09

A is poorly, have been off work today, she's doing the drama queen thing...demanding wet tissues on her head and cheese on toast (NOT MELTED, take that melted cheese AWAY NOW)..she lost her voice this morning but it didnt stop her trying to shout!

grrrrrr....mumble mumble

singledadofthree · 28/03/2008 00:28

have missed her - tho not the shouting - hope she soon recovers, and her voice of course.

LBA · 28/03/2008 00:36

Nah, she's too squeaky. Now just squeaky and croaky.

alipiggie · 28/03/2008 00:37

I'll loan you both two loud boys if you like .
