Just to let you all know - I have found a new lease of life! (from somewhere???!!)I have been thinking (for a very long time) that I should get off my backside and do a degree with the OU. I've just taken the 1st step by registering and I'm feeling all smug and studenty!!

Oh, and I had a snog today on my lunch break!!! ....

....And he's popping in tomorrow for 'coffee'

Sorry - very excited!!!!

OverMyDeadBody · 17/03/2008 21:46

Good for you. The first steps are often the hardest (God, did I just write that?! It sounded much less cheesy in my head)

goingbonkers · 17/03/2008 21:46

Heee heeee heee! It's about time! Went back to work feeling very cheeky! [smutty 'i've just had a snog' face] Can't wait till tomorrow!!!!!!

mental note - wear these lucky pants every day!

OP posts:
OverMyDeadBody · 17/03/2008 21:55

eeewww not every day! Unless you're going to wash them every night, but still

goingbonkers · 17/03/2008 22:04

Ok maybe I'll carry on washing them . But it's interesting that they are my best ones (and match the bra I am wearing!)and I haven't worn them for ages!!! The day I wear them I get snogged!!!!!!!! Wooo Hooooooo!!!

OP posts:
OverMyDeadBody · 17/03/2008 22:21

did ya flash them before getting snogged?

goingbonkers · 17/03/2008 22:28

Snog came first, flashing came second!! Oh and a bit of a grope before being rudely interrupted by the window cleaner!!! Then had to go back to work!!

But it's someone I know very well and he's working down my street at the mo! Spent the aft at work feeling a bit horny!!

Great to hear, I am doing the student thing to and loving it, never thought I could do it, then I found I got the highest marks int he class for the last assignment (sorry I can't help boasting I am so chuffed ). Treated myself to some new clothes that are a bit trendier than I would ever have worn. And today.................

I had lunch with a man, yes a real man and it was very nice, he even paid , He wants to go out for dinner and a movie next time [gulp], I have another guy inviting me to a show and a 3rd place reserve incase those two are crap .

mamalovesmojitos · 17/03/2008 23:08

my mate is doing criminology (in cambridge, high achiever!) it sounds so fascinating. i'm also a student, entered the course with a respectable but average 2.2 in first yr, last yr got highest in class in one of summer exams, so excited, must boast like you scramble! its just when you're not even sure about starting a course its such a boost to do well! bit behind ye on the dating tho...lol at scramble's reserve. still healing after dd's dad. all ahead of me...

goingbonkers · 18/03/2008 13:21

Scramble - Well done you! It's very encouraging to hear success stories! And congratulations on the real man thing! It's a shock to the system when you realise you've still got it!! Sounds like a potential nice real man too!

I've just had a coffee with my 'real' man friend and he's popping in later when he finishes work! My DD is here today - she is normally quite shy with people she hasn't seen for a while but she said "mummy, I want to say hello to your best friend"

Well done to you too MLM! And plenty of time for meeting a new man. Don't think this one I'm seeing today will go anywhere. He's been my best friend for 10 yrs and we have some history - he was also a great support when things went bad with DD's dad even though at the time he was in love with me and it really hurt him that I was in a violent rel with some1 else. We both still have feelings for eachother (best friend, not DD's dad) but my life has changed so much and I don't think he's ready for settling down especially with a child involved. But we'll see - you just never know!!

Oh and I've just applied for a new job - same hours but much better pay!! Things really are looking up for me and I'm chuffed to bits!!

Let's challenge the stereotype of single parents on benefits! We are all capable of improving our (and our dc's) futures and by the looks of it, one positive change influences more positive progress!! Watch out men! intelligent and sexually deprived women about!
