Ladies

I am tired of hearing about Bob Geldof bang on about fathers rights (don't get me started about him).

I am tired about hearing about fathers for justice

I am tired of bringing a child up on my own and being thankful that I get £200 a month aside from the fact that I work and my lchildcare costs are way and over above that.

Following on from the above fact I feel dreadful that I know there are many women on here who don't even get the priviledge of £200.

I am tired of being slagged off by the daily mail/ society when we are bringing up the next generation.

My point is..... I need you LADIES. I feel so strongly that we are not represented in society when we are doing all the BLOODY work. When my son was little I could do nothing because he did not sleep for more than 3 hours a night but now I am ready and I am ready to take on our cause.

All I need to know is................

ARE YOU WITH ME LADDDDIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEESSSSS

I just need your support. If I have it (and the power of mumsnet) I will take it from here. Clearly we will not be dressing up as superheros and scaling buildings because we don't have BLOODY TIME!

I'm a damn hard working single mum too. Work 10 hrs a week to see IS take most of it, but it's beter than sitting on my backside all day.

Exh pays £70 to the 'treasury'.

We put up with so much shit from everyone. Running the household, keeping a job down, sorting the kids out, food, bills, free time, you name it we organise it.

We are the strongest people I met on mumsnet flies the flag go singles mums we do us proud x x

I'm in too - the way we are treated is absolutely ridiculous.

If it was the other way round and WE naffed off and left the blokes to cope as we are expected, there would be SO much more help out there AND society would be different in their attitude.

Count me in! (and don't talk to me about FFJ - those blokes are a waste of good oxygen)

Me, too.

Can't make ends meet - ex- wants his cake and to eat it, financially. But, he gets father-of-the-year award according to some people for contributing less than the minimum. I get the wicked-witch one for standing up for US - because we are a unit. Mind you, I have my family's support - so in the bigger scheme of things, can't complain.

What are we doing? Taking over the world? We couldn't do a worse job (that was my first FC grin to celebrate!).

Am working on my manifesto as we speak....

Absolutely agree that we need a voice. It is hard for us to get heard; we are so busy looking after our children. We need a body to represent us.

I think all women should be encouraged to support the cause. Single mothers are total heroines in my mind.

count me in. i work 25 hours a week and all my wages goes on rent and bills (not entilted to houseing benefit!) and my sons father gives me nothing, in fact i have to give him money like petrol money so he can see his son!

Can I say I agree with you all, I spent 18 years as a single Mum, working three jobs, never got any maintenance (pre CSA days) Ex saw DS when a he could be bothered, the lot.

Apart from one thing (hides behind Shield)

About Sir Bob.............

Ds is now in the position of fighting to see his daughter, has never missed a maintenance payment, saw her regularly till he married when his ex saw fit to stop contact.

So........... actually agree with Sir Bob as well (and he has always been a hero to me since Live Aid )
