Oh essbee...what rotten luck. My guess is that you are all run down esp after your recent illness. This Christmas, make sure you relax, laugh, and eat lots of healthy food to build yourselves up xxx

She's taken him off to hospital as he was showing signs of dehydration. Unfortunately, had to take DD with her as there was no one who could look after her - Dragons included because we're all cold ridden at the moment. Haven't heard anything since she set off though.

JanH · 23/12/2004 18:29

Didn't this happen to her DS earlier this year too or am I confusing him with someone else?

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 23/12/2004 18:31

Erm... I can't remember! Her DD had a cut to the head that needed gluing, I remember that. I also remember her DS ending up with concussion following a soft play area incident but that might have been last year.

Feel bad about not taking her DD off her hands

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 23/12/2004 18:32

I don't think it could have happened because she was saying "we're never ill" earlier. She would have mentioned it.

JanH · 23/12/2004 18:33

No, don't feel bad, soupy, you would've if you could and they don't want your germs on top of their own (that sounds rude but YKWIM!)

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 23/12/2004 18:34

That was why I didn't say yes - didn't want to swap illnesses!

Mind you, her AH couldn't have DD because he's going out tonight. Ar$e!

JanH · 23/12/2004 18:34

I wonder who it was then...somebody's child had a very high temp and wasn't weeing and then when he did it was practically black (TMI probably). Months back mind you.

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 23/12/2004 18:35

Oooh - you're right. He did have a high temperature. Over 40. Don't remember the wee though!

JanH · 23/12/2004 18:37

Don't suppose the 2 are connected though - that was feverish dehydration and this is D & V dehydration - just a coincidence. Hope they don't have to admit him though...

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 23/12/2004 18:42

He didn't actually go to A&E with the high temp as it started to come down and he was Ok (just searched!)

Yes, this dehydration is down to D&V - he can't keep anything down
