Pro: no one to tell me what to do.

Con: the mental load of worrying about what would happen to my son if something happened to me.

Pro- I sleep like a baby. Don't have to worry about other half walking out and leaving me without childcare for work anymore. This happened every time we had an argument. He was a runner

Con- evenings are lonely on my own

Pros - the happier household my child lives in, managing my own budget without his drinking causing havoc, my mental health improving, I was doing the hard work anyway, now I do it in peace.

Cons- it’s been relentless in lockdown with an ex who barely co parents, and it’s all very much on me. I can live with that just sometimes it’s tiring.

Judgemental crap from other people trying to make out that me breaking up from her alcoholic father will result in a life of crime and instability, rather than realising I’m bringing my child up in a really positive atmosphere whilst working a professional job. She no longer needs to hear her mum being called a slut and a whore all because I asked him to get up in the morning and take her to nursery like he said he would.
