Why can't I decide wether I want to meet someone new or not ??

I mean I do want to, and I don't want to, all at the same time.

I am on a couple of dating sites and tbh I am quite picky, but every now and again i'll take the plunge, go through and send messages to a few that I like the sound/look of.

Then if they reply, I am totally gobsmacked and run away, never replying to their message which is both mean and bloody stupoid.

For example, am on one site where I messaged a bloke a while ago and he has just replied saying his cumputer was broken but that he's now back online if i'd still like to chat.

Now I dunno if I do.

If you're going in for online dating, you all know the rules, don't you? No giving out of personal details, arrange to meet in a public place, let someone know where you are going and have a check-in procedure agreed (and as a mate of mine once put it, if you're not comfortable around someone when you're fully clothed and in public, then DO NOT go somewhere private and get naked with them.)

I 'could' have had a few flings/shags by now, but can't be bothered to be flippant.

i am in this same position. after seeing so many of your lots threads about POF i joined. been chatting with a couple of guys who seem nice, but i can never build up teh courage to actually agree to meet anyone.
