Can't believe I have now been separated a whole year!!

This time last year I made the decision to end my marriage, although I had no idea at the time that it would be pretty much a year later before we would be in separate houses!

Can't believe it has been a whole year now! How time flies when you're not having fun!!!

PC - well done you. You've come a long way, baby. And hopefully now you are going to see the positives, as well as the negatives, of your steadfast decisiveness.

When you first posted on MN I would never have dreamt you could have made it through a separation as awful and prolonged as this, without caving in. I think he, and we (well, I), underestimated you - you've shown your true colours and are moving towards the life you utterly deserve to have.

tribpot - I really don't know how I got through it myself! It has been the toughest of years, it really has, but I guess I just knew I had to see this through as there was no way I could go backwards after making the decision!

It still feels hard at times, & today has been one of my lower days for some reason, but generally I am adjusting better than I thought I would.

Congratulations to you, JJ, I remember your thread! How are you getting on?

popsycal - I have had a few different names over the years. I had a different regular MN name until last summer when I had to give it up & replace it with this one, and then I had various names which I used when posting about my relationship problems. (Although I was always useless at the disguise thing, so not sure why I did it!)

Won't put down the full names, just incase a certain someone ever finds me on here again & looks my other names up! But if I say SM, LW, MOM & there was someone stupid in the middle, it may give you a clue!!

wow that has got me thinking. I am good. Its beena bloody tough year but i can do it.

I brought my house of my x a few months ago, been paying the mortgage on my own since then. I have a boyfriend and lots of new friends. Things are good at the moment. My son is happy and he sees his dad lots.

It was actually a year ago last night that the decision was made. This time last year was the most horrible time ever, I remember it well!

I get moments of extreme lonliness now, but it is a lot easier than it was back then!

yes it seems to be going well, well it did until this weekend. I am angry.

I find the lonliness gets to me aswell. I read alot and find that once i have made lunch for us and been on here i have 30 mins before bed.

For me its friday. I am not sure how i will feel then.

he is 4.5yrs. he is at his dad at the moment. I am too broke so staying in which i am most unhappy with.

It's strange isn't it? I have felt more down than normal today & I'm sure it is the whole year anniversary thing, it brings back all the memories!

I only actually moved into my own place at the beginning of last month, so the living alone bit is all quite new for me still.

well for the 2nd time he fell asleep when we were planning on doing things so didnt get to do them. he woke up at 430am when he should have been with me about 830/9pm.

He was due to fix a car today and come over tonight but he got called to his bil house - he owes money to them so does jobs to fix the debt. Anyway the bil had to go out so he is babysitting now and just text me saying i should go out to a friends house as they are not back yet. Waste of a weekend.

it must be fun doing your own stuff to your new house. I moved lots of things around. Have you read paul mckennas fix your broken heart. Its good.

How long have you been together?

My ex is staying at my parents house atm while waiting for his house to be finished!

I have been feeling a bit low & lonely today, more so than usual, but it helps to be able to chat on here!
