sanchpanch · 05/11/2006 09:08

basically aol sometimes send me a free, 3 day trial of there dating thing, i wouldnt normally sign up but because it was free i thought i would have a look,

so yesterday i was browsing the talent!!! and clicked a few into my favourites, thinking i would show my friends and see what they thought about the various chaps available!!

anyway one has emailed me saying i saw you put me in your favourites??? i didnt realise it would let the men know i had done this!!!!!!

and he chats a bit and asks some questions but i dont know weather to reply or not, i have been single for 15 months, and a bit scared of the dating thing. and he looks very nice and normal, maybe a bit to nice for me.

any wise words?

Leave it until at least Tuesday but DO IT! DO IT! DO IT! I did one of those dating things where you put an ad in the paper and it took me over a month to reply to the gorgeous man who eventually became my DH. He had moved hundreds of miles to the area for work and had been here a few months and was about to chuck it in and move back home and then we met. We are now living happily ever after. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Good luck. Trust your instincts.
DO IT!!!!!!

I have had that offer off match.com too but I think you do have to basically sign up first and then you get the 72 hours free. I was worried i'd have trouble cancelling when the free hours were up and that they would then charge my card.

SP- Definatly reply.

LOL no thats very true, I usually either laugh hysterically or am nearly sick at the choice I get sent.

Even when I do get someone nice message me, I reply and never hear from them again, which says alot about me lol.

sanchpanch · 05/11/2006 10:16

happymumof2 i think most of them are married or in a long-term relationship for sure

sanchpanch · 05/11/2006 15:31

if thats the case i will gentle guide him to the sites specially set up for married men who want a bit on the side, there is enough of those sites set up, but they only want dates with women who are attached themselves, as they want no strings attached affair and dont want a single women who might ask them to leave there wife.......

i dont think it is strange, i just think it is the way of life now, people lead such busy lives especially when kids arrive, i know for sure i dont want to go out on the pull on a friday night i would rather go for a meal with my friends

Sanchpanch - go for i9t - look on it like a practise job interview for when the ideal job comes up

go for it girl

expatinscotland · 05/11/2006 20:28

if anything, there might be a good shag out of all of it to get you back into the swing of things.

sanchpanch · 05/11/2006 20:32
