I wipe my arse on it. They think it is scratch and sniff.

I didn't have kids w/my ex, and I remarried before he did, but I was REALLY pleased when he remarried. She's a great gal and they suit each other - neither wanted kids and both were sterilised before they met. Was glad he is happy, b/c he's a terrific chap who deserves to be happy.

Sent a lovely wedding gift and can't wait to see them next year when we go to Germany for a visit - they made the move (he is a dual national) and are loving it.

Nice to see some people stay friends expat.

You're not going to believe this, i don't believe this, he's just texted me asking if i can send shirts and tie's with them for the wedding.

Organised affair do you think?

Just proves what a second thought they are.

Relief as well. I was standing outside the church, heavily pregnant and getting piss wet through waiting to take pics of the happy couple and of DS who was the ring bearer and thinking "I hope he's happy in this marriage".

But then he wasn't a complete b*stard to me or anything.. we were just too young and stupid to have got married in the first place.

Carmenere · 14/07/2006 11:21

He's paying for them I presume, or do you dress your kids in shirts and ties as a matter of course? He's a muppet! Of course the temptation is to go and get bright orange shirts (or some other suitably hideous colour) but that would be unfair to the kids.

Rise above it - smile, text back that you have thought of that already and taht he owes you for them.

fairyfly · 14/07/2006 11:27

I texted back get your own wedding clothes and given the boys laxatives, that will do.

your ex sounds like a prize wank stain, tho, ff. i'd sent the kids in shorts made from cut off jeans and holey tshirts.

ninah · 14/07/2006 23:10

gf I'll drink to that!

nightowl · 15/07/2006 02:07

i was peed off when my ex got married.

  1. because if he had married his first serious gf after me i would have been invited, we were good friends! (i missed a party, what can i say?)

  2. because his wife to be was a silly childish slapper and i cant stand her.

  3. because i was told he spent all night carrying around HER child and ignored ours.

and 4....

when ds came back in his clothes he looked beautiful and for one fleeting moment i felt sorry it wasnt me...for ds really..even though i just dont feel that way about his dad anymore.

but its ok. they're divorced now

singledadofthree · 15/07/2006 02:33

mine has yet to re marry - guess she hasnt got over me yet
