I mainly come online browsing! I actually enjoy being by myself and enjoy the time to do whatever I please (with the exception of going out!). I may snack, have a bath, watch a bit of tele, read a book, tidy up. It prob sounds quite boring, but I don't mind it :)

meglet · 02/11/2011 21:37

Come on mumsnet and FB. Eat supper. Do a bit of housework and get organised for the next day.

It's that exciting.

Housework/internet/sleep. Very occasionally I might make a telephone call.

hammerhead · 02/11/2011 21:59

MN, FB, phonecalls, scoff sweeties. At weekends I sometimes have friends over for a drink and I'm thinking of taking up a new hobby like sewing for the winter nights. It felt weird at first but now i love my evenings alone when DS is sleeping.

I have started to do some studying. I'm a Teaching Asssistant and have never had an ICT lesson so Im working on a basic course that my students do (Maybe one day I'll do a GCSE)

TastyMuffins · 02/11/2011 23:17

Laundry, cleaning the kitchen, browsing the web, email, phone calls, course work, long soak in the bath watching something online, online dating, making stuff, cooking, shopping online...

cuteboots · 03/11/2011 13:34

housework/internet/spot of tv/long soak in a bath and maybe a sneaky glass of wine ! Such a party zone in my house!!

molepom · 03/11/2011 18:53

Housework/bath if I can be bothered/MN.

fluffythevampirestabber · 03/11/2011 18:54

Study for uni and MN

Loobyloo1902 · 03/11/2011 20:05

I set up my own business whilst the LO is asleep. It's great to have an avenue of independence and some non kiddie discussions.

I am utterly shattered though. I can hardly keep my eyes open some nights.

TheOriginalNutcracker · 03/11/2011 20:07

I mn, fb and watch tv and thats about it really.

FreakoidOrganisoid · 03/11/2011 20:11

I watch quite a lot of films and box sets. And read. Sometimes coming online makes me feel like I have company, othertimes it makes me feel more lonely

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 03/11/2011 22:12

What business are you setting up, Loobyloo?

In the evenings I tend to watch tv, get our packed lunches ready for the next day, maybe put on a load of washing and/or do some ironing, read or watch a film. I'd quite like to take up a hobby for the evenings, like card making or knitting, but not sure I have the skill or talent.

threetimesabridesmaid · 03/11/2011 22:22

Become a teacher! I spend most nights planning & marking - envy you lot the boring evenings!

SuePurblybilt · 03/11/2011 22:30

I don't manage much tbh. By the time I've got DD to bed, cleared up after dinner, checked emails and Mnet, put a wash on and the like - it's 10pm. Like threetimes - the rest of the time I'm working.

I wish I could use the time better: I have three binbags of stuff to ebay, an untidy house and a to-do list a mile long. I could give up MN

Gemimapuddleduck · 04/11/2011 21:58

Its ME time in the evenings, days spent working, looking after ds's, housework, shopping, by the time the kids are in bed its tv and wine time, god knows how i cld actually find the time and energy to give to a man now, some evenings i just dont want to talk to anyone, sounds awful i know but to be free and have some downtime is the perfect evening!:)x

MissPricklePants · 04/11/2011 22:06

writing a research proposal/funding applications, watch a film, read, housework, knit, drink wine and eat junk!

Loobyloo1902 · 07/11/2011 20:55

Hi SoftKittyWarmKitty, it's a small business making baby clothes in cute and unusual fabrics. Starting slowly and working my way up! I had my second show this weekend and it went well, lots of sales and nice compliments.

Warm and fuzzy feeling making it all worthwhile

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 07/11/2011 21:59

Wow, you must have real talent to make baby clothes. I'd love my own business but don't have any skills or talents to utilise Sad.

Loobyloo1902 · 08/11/2011 16:11

SoftKittyWarmKitty-less talent, more a lack of money!
I'm sure you have boundless talents sweets x

Bossybritches22 · 08/11/2011 16:16

I chase my teen DD's up to bed between 9 & 10 depending on what we're watching/doing. They don't go to sleep till later but I need my time alone!

Otherwise ironing/MN/phone calls study, if I'm not working looking after someone elses kids!

Have been known to fall asleep & be woken up by them chasing ME up to bed!!

Bugsy2 · 08/11/2011 16:19

Exercise - really getting into it now - using different DVDs
Watch TV
Read
Try very hard to have 9pm - 11pm as a bit of down time.
Hats off to Looby for starting up your own baby clothes business.
