ha. i wouldnt go that far.
It was one, very nice date.

But he is very nice.
Very, very nice.

I could have quite happily sat on that sofa all day/night with him.

It was sort of in a seperate room, and people kept poking their heads round but then not coming in. i joked saying, why isnt anyone coming in, its really lovely in here, and he said maybe they felt like they were interupting..... we were very sprawlled out on the sofa.

Goodluck for the second date

Janos · 09/01/2011 17:38

lol tookool that all sounds good! Enjoy :)

ninah · 09/01/2011 17:43

a good summer break (well, not so much of a break actually) is to go to a festival. I did this last year, met some cool people on the campsite (tent opposite was a single mum and her dc) and lots to do as well

tookoolforskool · 09/01/2011 18:15

I was thinking maybe camp bestival too. Has anyone been?

Ah. Feel all smiley.

Zanywany · 09/01/2011 18:18

HI I'm Zany and I'm a newbie.

I'm doing camping with the DC's this year and have founf that generally most people camping are really friendly.

Braving Glastonbury with them too

beingsetup · 09/01/2011 18:19

OO festivals sound good!

Mzdemeanourunderthemistletoe · 09/01/2011 18:38

I remember feeling all smiley ....

tookoolforskool · 09/01/2011 18:50

oh. sorry

dont worry. it probably wont last.
Im not that lucky

ever.

Im just pleased that it went well. and surprised that i liked him, and he seems to like me.

I shall probably be back on here within a week saying its all gone wrong, or i didnt actally like him, or he wasnt what i thought he was. or something.

because ive not had a second date in 2 years.

Id like to do a festival, ive done them without children, not sure how it would work with though.

Or might just wait till shes older.

tookoolforskool · 09/01/2011 18:51

he did smell really nice though.

Janos · 09/01/2011 19:44

I like the idea of a festival, which one did you go to again nina?

Zanywany · 09/01/2011 20:02

I have taken my DC's to Glastonbury before and they loved it. Alot of the festivals are children friendly with lots of things for them to do

beingsetup · 09/01/2011 20:06

tookool think positive! maybe you were holding out for the right one? starting a relationship is always nerve wracking you have to give it a chance,it sounds like he's really into you Smile.
I would LOVE to take my kids to glastonbury or another festival its just managing them lol1

scares me a little they never stop running around and the potential to get lost is frightening..

If you could only fit kids with something that lit up and madea noise when you pressed the remote control......

Janos · 09/01/2011 20:08

Cheers zany

I really like the idea of taking DS to a festical, I reckon he'd love it. Only thing is, I'm a little queasy about tents; I like running hot water close by IYKWIM!

beingsetup - if only, eh Grin.

BeauticianNotMagician · 09/01/2011 20:18

Tookool you need to think positive.Glad you had such a good date and love your enthusiasm and updates Grin

Had a great day.Mum and the ds's enjoyed their dinner and we had some trifle for dessert yummy. So much for the diet.

Have had some lovely messages from DG today and i'm really really missing him Sad

Janos · 09/01/2011 20:34

No wonder you are missing him BNM he sounds lovely.

Glad you had a good time at your mums, bet she loved the dinner :)

sincitylover · 09/01/2011 20:47

Great news tookool - he sounds lovely Smile

persephonesnape · 09/01/2011 20:59

tookool! oooOOOooOooOooOooo!! :)

not so much that best-male-friend won't date people with kids, it's this kind of, '2nd class citizen, sloppy-seconds' air about it. I'm still absolutely raging. can't bring myself to talk to him, far too cross. haven't beem this angry in ages

ninah · 09/01/2011 21:31

janos I went to the Green Man, beautiful countryside, nice and relaxed, not as big as Glasto so no worries about losing dc
and there were hot showers (by the time you got back to your tent you'd be covered in mud like minestrone, but however, they were there! it did rain and rain, but summer rain is OK, no?
also did cornbury which was a weekend one
I think the smaller ones are ideal with young dc

BeauticianNotMagician · 09/01/2011 21:42

Janos He is lovely.I don't even know what i need to think about really.I just want to be sure before i make such a big move.

Did i tell you all what he got me for christmas a swarovski bracelet, perfume and a beautiful faux fur coat. This tells me the man is quite serious no??

MrsS01 · 09/01/2011 21:55

Eve everyone.

omg - just did a web cam on a dating site with a bloke I'm supposed to be going on a date with and I don't fancy him AT ALL. Should I cancel the date? :(

BeauticianNotMagician · 09/01/2011 22:02

MrsS01 I think that to go on a date i need to find them attractive.Although sometimes it is better to go for the less obvious ones.If you dont fancy him the slightest bit though then i wouldn't bother.

elastamum · 09/01/2011 22:19

hi All, sounds fab too kool, really pleased yor date went well. hope that date 2 is even better! Smile

Have just been trading messages with really nice sounding man from GSM. will have to think of a name for him.

Dont think universtiy man will make the party and still not a word from radioman all this weekend although we are supposed to be going out nxt week Hmm

hatesponge · 10/01/2011 05:36

tookool - good news re date! keep us posted - have you arranged date no 2 with him yet? :)

elasta - why can't university man make it, I thought he was really keen to accompany you? thats such a shame. And sorry re radioman he seems a bit of a pain not keeping in contact til the last minute (accept he may be busy but it only takes 30 secs to send a quick text) have you thought of a name for the new guy on gsm yet?

I would love to take the children to a festival or something however I don't do tents and can't live without my own shower! I was watching that awful prog with Natalie Cassidy (Sonia from Eastenders...was about her pregnancy etc) and she went to a festival and stayed in some luxury motorhome thingy - looked lovely but I expect it was ££££s....

Had a great time at party in Brighton, lots of people telling me how fabulous I am Blush. also went for lunch with my BFF yesterday and have agreed a plan of action for the year, which is quite exciting, and includes (in a few weeks, not quite sure of the date yet) me going to a do with lots of policemen Grin(I have a major weakness in that area), so we shall see what happens! but am certainly feeling 100% more cheerful and positive than last week.
