Each year it sucks that little bit more.

Xp made xmas crap, so being alone is preferable to that, but 5th xmas alone is shitty in it's own lovely way lol.

It generally hasn't bothered me, but this is the first year when there is someone particular I'd like to have spent it with iyswim? Bah humbug Grin

Unlikelycrackerzonian, in answer to your question, a brief love affair with a man about 12 yrs ago for a few days and otherwise nothing. Really lived it up in my twenties, however and it feels like that's 'out of my system' now.

Mothering has been the channel for all my energies anyway over the last 10 yrs and now I'm perimenopausal and the last thing I need is 'intimacy'!

What I really, really could use would be a full time house-keeper and a 'fairy godmother' to land here today to help me cope with sick DC2 (see my own thread here) and allow me to languish sickly in bed whilst also looking after healthy DC1!

6th one for me and its starting to bother me more and more each year.
For the firsr 3-4 years i didnt mind at all, but now i feel a bit sad about it.

Well just had my first and it was better than any I can remember in a long time Xmas Smile.

I suppose I might get bored of it in a couple more xmas' and next year xh will have the dc for all of xmas like I just have ...

Oh well thats a whole year away !
