Is anyone else an LP who works full time with 2+ kids, social life and a horse?

I think i have over-stretched myself slightly.
Been on my own for nearly 4yrs (with on and off r-ships), have 2 dc who can be quite difficult behaviour-wise and my youngest has serious sleep problems. They go to a childminder before and after school.

I work full time mon-fri but also have a horse i have to visit 3x a week plus weekends.
I have been studying for a degree for past 6yrs and am meant to do about 16hrs a week study (no do-able!!)
I cant stop working as i need the money to pay for our home!
I cant stop studying as i need the degree to follow the career path i want to follow, so i can support my dc a little better

The social life happens every fortnight when the kids are at dads, so thats fine.

And the horse..is my one and only hobby and i am crazy about her. I share her so she doesnt cost much in money, only time..

Am i stupid?

Another here too ! Work Full Time mon - fri, I have one DS and DD, just finished one masters degree and decided... what the hell i'll do another. I also support local scouts, so both my children can attend and generally fetch and carry to clubs most nights.

Been a LP now for a year and sometimes feel like i too forgot all sorts Blush. Even though was mostly a LP when I was with exP Hmm i didn't realise how much harder it actually is to be on your own.

Oh well chin up and back to the grindstone... oh and social life... whats that ? Confused

Ok, so, keeping up to date with this thread and still feeling inadequate, I'd just like to ask the ages of you ladies please Blush

allgonebellyup don't worry about the housework. No-one will care or thank you for it. Life is for living. I am doing Masters, job and have one little boy, by myself, and that's crazily busy, take my hat off to you Smile you are an inspirational lady to fit in the social life too. Mine got jacked in along with most of the housework when I started the Masters...!!

I'm nearly 29 but feel much much older in comparison to some of my friends

Wysiwig · 03/03/2011 22:57

Ahh split...no wonder, I'm 49, when I was your age I could fit a lot more in...age takes it's toll I'm afraid..however,fair play to you, whatever age, being a lone parent/working/studying is bloody hard work!
